This shelter is flthy, has non0functional bathrooms, black mold growing in bathrooms. The employees from the director on down treat the residents with complete disrespect. Residents must leave the shelter at 9am regardless of the weather - 16 degrees out or puring down rain, it doesn't matter. Even if a resident is sick and has a doctor's note stating that they are to have 3 days of bedrest, the note is ignored or lost and the resident must leave at 9am. Residents cannot return until 4pm. There are no services available whatsoever - no counseling, no legal assistance, no housing assistance, no employment assistance. Nothing. Quite often there is no heat or hot water.
the Health Dept and the Fire Inspector need to do their inspections and shut this place down until it up to code, clean, functioning in all areas, and then the employees need training in how to work with the homeless, and services need to come on board.
