unprofessionalism
I am a regular shopper at the store, today I have seen the worst customer service yet. Waiting on line I experienced one of the cashier telling the other cashiers how the lady before me was stealing, if theres any thruth to that I wouldnt know. When it was my turn I had done all my math since it was a sale day and had a low budget, proceeded to ask the cashier, if that was the price on the item written on ink, she said she didnt think so and asked the cashier that had previously said something about the lady in front of me. She said that wasnt the price (it was a few dollars higher), because herself had put a price on it (yet there was no price tag, just the price written on the item). So I told my cashier to ring me up for the rest of the items and that I would see if I had some change so I can buy the desired item, she said ok gracefully. I stepped away from the register and took the item with me, once I did that I put another item away and began counting my change, when the rude cashier told my cashier that you have to watch out for people like that ( meaning me) and tried to take the item away before I told her I was gonna buy it. I did have enought change and bought the item. Why would I try to pull anything in a store that actually helps me as much as I help them??? what is wrong with this lady? if you think someones stealing then call the authorities on them, dont embarrass me because I simply asked if that was the price on the untagged item. Being that Im calm and not confrontational did not know how to react... so I use this platform to express myself. To me it is an embarrasment to the store and the Salvation Army, people should approach you before they judge you when you're a pretty regular customer. So sad, people need to be better trained in every way when it comes to dealing with people.

Inflated Prices on merchandise
I shop at several Salvation Army Thrift Store throughout the state of Illinois but I find that this particular Salvation Army store always inflating there prices on most merchandise. There are times when I have seen the same product at one or more Salvation Army yet at this store the prices are at least 10 to 15 dollars more. It is totally ridiculous!! I hope that someone could investigate my allergations and I assure you that by the time the investigation is over it will not only be allergations but it will be facts.

Overpriced Junk
The So Called Thrift Store In Prince Rupert Is Misrepresenting The Salvation Army by Overpricing Any and all Donated Items. There is no Real Good items on the Shelves As the Volunteer Workers Take all Real Good Items Home or there is an Unrealistic Price Placed on these Items and I Was Threatend By Not Getting a Clothing Voucher, If I Do Not Like the Prices! My Mailing Address is above and I Will Sign a Complain form I Resent Misrepresentation in any Form, especially If Salvation Army Is being Abused By Unrealistic Forms of AService, The Store Comp-laining to the Local Officers as I believe the Families of said Officers do the Misrepresentation.
My Spouce Habitually Gets Items for Me when she is in the Store. I Tried to Replace the Favour by Getting her a Pair of Hiking boots. and aWarm Pajama Bottom, I was Publicaly Lambasted for the Policy Is As It Stand she Said. I Do BNot Regret My Action at all. Christian Charity should be Displayed at the Front Line not Place a Price tag On The Kind Charity Of People. There is no Work By and Large Here and People fload the Store with Items. And the Conseciuos is SOMEONE WILL BUY IT. Or We Take Them Home!

Broken Dryer
We recently bought a dryer from our local Salvation Army. It was forty dollars which was a reasonable price for what it was. The cashier told me upon check out that if it didn't work they would be able to give us at least a store credit. Sure enough the heating element did not work. We returned the next business day to speak with a manager about a refund. He was called to the front three times and we waited over half an hour with a increasingly cranky 1.5 year old. Finally my husband went to the back of the store trying to find the manager. He was right there in the store. He crossed his arms and looked at him and said "what?" My husband caught off guard by his bluntness politely explained our problem. JIM the manager interrupted him and said "we have a no return policy". Now we have a 250 pound hunk of metal sitting in our house and have forty less dollars. Because one person (or many) was dishonest the consumer was punished. I thought the Salvation Army was meant to help people like my family better afford reasonalbe accomidations, not to rip off the working poor. How Christian is that? I'm pretty sure jesus didn't steal from the poor to pay the poor.
