I purchased a SAMSUNG 52 inch television from Best Buy and they sold me a four year contract with Geek Squad. Three months have I purchased the television the video died. I contacted Best Buy and they sent out one of their techs from Geek Squad. The first words out of the "tech" was I didn't know Samsung made TVs this big. He brought with him a notebook and a pencil. He asked me what the problem was I told him and he said he needed to order a new monitor panel. He wanted to know if I wanted the part shipped to my house or to his office. We chose our house. He said we would have it in three days or less and to call when we received it. One week later I contact the 888 number for Best Buy and they told me the part would arrive at their office today. The next morning I called again and I was told the part was received and a tech would be out to my house the middle of the next month to fix it. I complained and she then stated that someone would be out tommorow morning to fix the television. I received a call an hour later and the Geek Squad stated they could not have anyone out for another week. I informed the person that I was told they would be out tomorrow morning and they came back and we don't have the part and it's not expected to arrive until Monday. I called the supervisor of Geek Squad and he would just keep repeating himself that they would be out next Wednesday - no matter what you asked him he came back with the same spill. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he stated he was at the top and was as far as I could go. I have contacted SAMSUNG and they are willing to come out to fix my television, but the money I spent for "Geek Squad" was a waste. Best Buy believes they can treat their customers this way now that Circuit City has locked their doors, but there's other companies available and with this type of service they will be joining Circuit City in the all too near future.
