I purchased a surround sound system SamSung HTBD2ET on 02/07/2009 in Arlington Highlands, Arlington, tx. One week later, a humming sound starts 5-10 minutes into running the system. I figured that it was just a glitch, but as a couple of days went bye, the sound got louder. So, I contacted Conns, spoke with my sales person about the problem, he said to bring it in to be shipped off to Samsung for repair. I had purchased the service plan for the SamSung system, thinking that all I had to do was bring the piece item back to exchange since it was defected. Though, I was informed that because it was not a Conns item, SamSung requires them to ship items to their distrubution center. On 02/23/09, when I had the chance to take the item to them, the shipping person took all my personal information for returning the SamSung HTBD2ET. Conns in turn shipped the system back for repair. During a long wait for response from Samsung, In March the week of spring break 16 though 20, I had a feeling that the item was going to be sent to me while I was on vacation. Sure enough, it was. So, during my stay away, I had received my three notices from UPS. The notice explained that I had til Wed. March 25 to pick up my item or it would be returned back to SamSung. I traveled from Grand Praire to Dallas to pick up my surround sound on Monday March 23. They could have used the UPS office in Arlington, TX which was MUCH CLOSER!!! This was the most inconvenience I have ever been through. It was time VERY TIME Consuming, plus LOTS of MILEAGE!!! At that time I brought back my system, unboxed it and hooked it all back together to play was again. My SamSung HTBD2ET ONLY worked 2 days before the humming started All back again. Once again, I contacted my sales person by phone on March 28, requesting A TOTAL NEW SYSTEM!!! Though he informed me of " THE CONNS POLICY" that because it is not a CONNS item they could ONLY ship it out ONCE AGAIN TO SAMSUNG. At this point I was SO FUSTRATED I requested to speak to his manager. I then spoke with JOSH RANDALL, Conns Manager, Arlington Highlands location. He then repeated everything my sales person had already said, though being a manger on a company appliance store since 1890, I thought that he would have given me an even exchange. But not the case. Josh then asked to send it off to be repaired once again, I DECLINED. I WANTED MY FULL REFUND!!! I had fogotten that I paid the item by check, due to purchasing previous merchandise from my sales person. I was still refusing to send the item back for repair, after all, I was already inconvenienced to take the item back to the store, but also for gas and mileage. But frustrated all at the same time! I felt that Josh as a manager could had delt with THIS PROBLEM ALOT BETTER, I found him a bit sarcastic. Reason being that he explained that it was my choice what I wanted to do with the SAMSUNG, but if I did not want it fixed, due to my being persistent on refund, IT WOULD GO AGAINST MY CREDIT REPORT. Though, he did not TAKE THE TIME TO check to see how I had paid for it, he answered TOO QUICKLY, because I paid that by check!!! This all happened today April 13, 09, and I still have yet to use my SAMSUNG HTBD2ET, all but about 1 week and 02 days of it!!! VERY UNSATISFIED :<!!!:(!!! I AM STILL WITH OUT A SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM, WAITING ONCE AGAIN FOR REPAIRS!!! :< :< :< :< P.S. Forgot to mentioned about JOSH RANDALLS POOR service of Customer Service, I called this past Friday, March 10, to see how long the wait would be and when I should expect a response about the system, HE NEVER RESPONDED. NO PHONE CALL BACK! POOR SERVICE!!!
