Stopped working after 2 years
I bought a 40' Samsung LCD TV model LN-S4051D in Sept 2006 for $2000. It quit working in April 2009. The symptoms are that it tries to turn on, the red light flashes for a few times, then you hear it click off. It repeats this over and over but never turns on. After a quick Google search I discovered that MANY customers are experiencing the same issue with their Samsung LCD TV. I called Samsung customer support hotline last night only to learn that I was out of warranty and out of luck. They don't even have an authorized service center within 60 miles of my location. What I found is Samsung used cheap and faulty capacitors in the power supply. Lots of people are having these fail just after the warranty period. Samsung should be proactive and offer to either send people a new circuit board or offer to repair the TV. Instead they offered me nothing. I may try to fix it myself since I'm a tech savvy person. White Vertical Line 4" Thick
Dear All,

We had puchased a Samsung LCD Model No 40B530 P7R MSL from M/s Neha Electronics, Shop No B-7, DDA Shopping Complex Mayur Vihar Phase 1, Pocket 1 vide their Invoice No 17207 Book No 345 dated 25/10/09 .

I had complained to Samsung Service on 19th September vide complaint no / Request No 8431042971 that there is White Vertical Line 4" thick visible on the screen .

Today their service engineer visited us and to our surprise and shock he tells us that their is a problem with the panel which needs to be changed . The cost of the panel is Rs 20, 244/- Plus 12% VAT, Plus service charges .

I fail to understand what kind of poor quality products is Samsung producing which does not even last for even One Year and 4 months . He also tells me that there is no AMC on this and the warranty is valid only for One Year . Our misfortune that the product performed till twelve months got knocked off immediately after the warranty, fortunate for Samsung that it crossed the warranty period of one year .

I would like Samsung to take a note of above complaint and replace the panel free of cost .

Wall Mounting request for TV stands unattended for more than three weeks
This is in reference to the complaint number with Samsung Customer Care : 8424586523, which was made two weeks back for wall mounting the LCD TV is still unattended. I had purchased the LCD from Delhi and then I moved to Bangalore. I called the customer care to get the TV wall mounted for the very first time, but the service center reverted that they cannot get wall mounted kit in Bangalore as I purchased the set from Delhi. They also said that I need to go to Delhi service center to get the kit.
I raised my concern with the customer care and they said it will done absolutely free of cost, but two weeks have passed and in spite of multiple calls to customer care my request still lies unattended.
Its a kind request to solve the matter ASAP as I am really getting frustrated with the Samsung service quality.

wall mount seevice
I had purchase a 22 inch lcd tv on 29 nov. 2009. For its wall mount i made complain at samsung service centre on 14 dec. 2009, but after 3-4 days there where no response, so i made again & again nearly 6 to 7 time, but the problem is same & every time they said it will be with in 1-2 days, i think i m in big trouble after buy samsung product.

worst service of samsung india
i bought a samsung 26" LCD tv from croma retail in Feb 2009. Within 6 mnths of purchasing it, it TV screen started malfunctioning. i called samsung customer care and croma. both assured me to solve the problem in stipulated tme. But after 15 days passing away, still prolem persists.

I would recommend my friends and readers of this website not to buy any samsung product to avoid any problem.

product quanity and gurantee policy
Dear director of the board of Samsung,
I bought an LCD TV of Samsung (modeled LA40N71BX) on May 7, 2007 in the local electronics chain store, Su Ning electronics store, in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. It was installed in my house on Juen 22, 2007. After not more than half an year, the screen of this TV turned black with only sounds of the programme. So we asked the after-selling service department of Samsung in China to repair it . After three times' repairement it did not work at all. Then the headquater of the after-selling service department of Samsung in Beijing, China, offered a new screen for me for free on 26 December, 2007. But still after a short time just before the earthquake of this year the same problem occured again! At that time my husband informed the after-selling service department of Samsung in China, and they advised us to continue to observe it. That's exactly before this year's earthquake happed in my province, Sichuan, in the May of 2008. After the earthquake, when we calmed down we still noticed the problem once in a while . On the evnng of November 25, 2008, it totally turned into a blank with a little dark light on my TVsreen. I informed the after-selling service department of Samsung in China of this bad news, they send a repairman the next day and the repairmen examinde my TV carefully with a conllusion that it was the problem of the screen again!
But this time the after-selling service department of Samsung in Beijing, China, refused to exchange a new and qualified LCD screen for me for free, because, as they insisted, the time of guarantee of my TV was expired . I doubted weather they referred to authorized three gurantees for the TV products. According to it, all the TV products should be guranteed a free repairment, or exchange afted three usesless repairment wihtin one year, and if some parts of the TV products have been exchanged, the time for the three gurantees should be renewed. That means my TV screen should be exchanged with a new one for free. But they insisted on charging me for a new one.
I have three questions:
1. since there is no specific law to regulate the three gurantees for LCD TV products in China, to which law or rule does Samsung refer ?What's more, according to it, all the TV produces should be guranteed a free repairment, or exchange afted three usesless repairment wihtin one year, and if some parts of the TV products have been exchanged, the time for the three gurantees should be renewed.
2. if Samsung referrs to the normal TVproduces ' three gurantees law in China, Samsung should be well aware of the regulations in this law that a color TV should be guranteed for one year, with its main parts such as display tube within at least 3 years. Since an LCD TV has no display tube, its LCD screen should be its main part as display tube to a color TV.
3. As the same problem has happend to the sme part of my LCD TV which was exchanged not more than one year ago, how could the after-selling service department of Samsung in China calculated its gurantee time from the very beginning of the buying.
I stongly object to the policy and attitude of Samsung towards its consumer! I strongly throw doubt on the quality of any Samsung's products! I confirmly require Samsung to exchange a new TV screen for me for free and also provede me an authorized written gurantee for the quality of it with a renewal of the gurantee time.

service quality - parts supply
IS IT A MUST FOR SAMSUNG TO SUPPLY PARTS NOT BEFORE 3-4 WEEKS!!

I live in Turkey.

I am very disappointed that 2 Samsung products both became non operational within 6 months after I bought.

However the reason I buy Samsung was eliminate these happens! I can understand things can broken.

Unfortunately, it is important SAMSUNG to fix them ASAP not within 3-4 WEEKS!

What a shame for SAMSUNG TURKEY, that they can not keep or supply parts immediately.

FRAUDULENT CHARGES
i ORDERED A TV FROM PRICEMAD - FIRST THEY UPSOLD ME AND THEN SOLD ME A TV FOR $1600.00 THEY ATTEMPTED TO CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD $3000.00. THEN WHEN I CALLED THEM ABOUT IT THEY FIRST DENIED IT (UNTIL I TOLD THEM THE CC COMPANY HAD CALLED ME)AND THEN TRIED TO SAY THEY PLACED THE ORDER TWICE BY ACCIDENT WHICH STILL WOULD NOT EQUAL THAT AMOUNT. THEY THEN KEPT ARGUING WITH ME WHEN I TRIED TO CANCEL MY ORDER AND HUNG UP ON ME

THE GUY ON THE PHONE WENT SO FAR AS TO ASK ME IF I WAS CANCELING THE ORDER BECAUSE HE WAS IN NEW YORK AND LIKED THE YANKEES - NO JOKE INTENDED - HE WAS JUST RUDE.

Product quality & service policy!
There is a board right above the LCD panel on my 46" TV amongst other numerous boards, which Samsung does not provide to its authorized repair shops. So when this board goes bad, they are telling you to buy a whole new LCD panel, which is so expensive that you are better off to buy a new TV all together.

This board went bad on my TV just after a year and half at which point the warranty is expired. I called Samsung customer support and they adamantly insisted that what ever the shop says is what I have to do and that the board is not sold separately. The Joke is, that Samsung provides this board to other companies, for what ever reason or purpose, and I was able to get it on line and repair my TV myself. The question is, why is this board (part) failing so quickly (I have heard of several cases myself alone), and why Samsung likes to sell you a new LCD Panel/TV at a much higher price instead of the Board at a fraction of the LCD panel's cost?

Why didn’t it bother Samsung a bit when I told them about the situation and why didn't it bother them at all that they have a quality problem here? Is Samsung trying to boost sales by following such policy?
Samsung may not care about quality and practice, but customers do. I am not buying any more Samsung products and I suggest every one else to reconsider if they intend to buy their products.
