Netbook
I had a very bad experience after getting a Samsung Netbook. My wife gifted me a Samsung Netbook (ZxA793LZc00416Z) on Valentine's day, this year (2011). There was an option of getting a full screen on pressing F11. I pressed F11 while I was browsing and the key remained pressed. The window of the browser was flickering between the full screen mode and the small screen. I managed to release the F11 key. I called the shop from where this was bought. He gave me the number of a local service person. I called this person He gave me another 1-800 number. I called the 1-800 number when I was told that some one would call me back. The person who called me back listened to my complaints and asked me to take the netbook to their service centre. I said that I cannot carry around the defective computer. So this person gave me another number in my town (Trivandrum). I called this person. He wanted me to take the netbook to the service station. I told him that I am a busy person and I cannot carry it around. Then he asked me to call the shop from where I bought the piece. He also told me that there is no question of replacing the piece. They will replace the key board. The warranty only means repair free of cost if I take my netbook to the service station. The customer care persons are some of the rudest you will ever meet. Next time you buy a netbook please consider the difficulty I have to go through. I even doubt whether this was a refurbished piece. Some of the files in the computer were dated 2008 !.
