Poor Quality Camera -
I purchased a digital camera NV 100 HD touch screen model from the departmental store - Big C on 30th August 2009. After about 7 months the batery started to discharge very quickly and then on December 7th, 2010 the camera went dead. I have another camera [ Casio exslim ] and that is working fine for the last 4 years. Such shoddy products that conk off jsut after warranty finishes show the inferior quality of the goods and the parts being used. I will from now on refrain from buying any Samsung product. Thankfully, I purchased a Sony LCD instead of Samsung . Be warned. Stay away from Samsung cameras.

Freezer failure
Samsung French Door Refrigerator/Freezer Model RF267AERS:
Building quick obsolescence into products appears to be the wave of the future, but shelling out big bucks and having the freezer go out after only six months seems to be a bit quick. Here's a recommendation SAMSUNG: Just have the warranty say "Buy at your own risk, because we don't build reliability into our product". Oh, & if you happen to loose all the frozen items because you can't get someone out to fix the damn thing for at least a week and a half, your loss! Great TV's, although I've only had one for 11 months, but definitely stay away from the refrigerator product line.

French door refrigerator
Like so many others we bought a Samsung french door fridge. After only 6 mths the refrigerator had a cooling problem. Called for service. After 4 trys the "technicians" finally got it fixed. Another 5 mths & the ice maker quit. Called again. Got a decent tech this time. Got fixed. Now almost a year after buying the cooling system on the fridge is going out again. When you spend almost $2k for a unit it should work for many years. This whole line seems to be a giant lemon. Maybe Samsung should follow Toyota & have a major recall or at the very least refund 1/2 of our purchase price. I would support a class action suit.

netbook
i will never buy any samsung product again !!! i bought notebook from argos in march this year . 4 weeks ago the the top half of the screen had vertical coloured lines across whilst the bottom half was normal . it was ok when logged off previously. i phoned aftercare and was told a courier would collect it . i wasnt to take it back to argos. the notebook was collected . i didnt hear anything for 2 wks then i rang them to be told they had sent me a letter . NO THEY HAD NOT !. the person i spoke to said that the letter informed me that the warranty was void due to neglect/misuse !!! being told that the problem was due to laptop being dropped ?????? I stated that the netbook had been carefully looked after .im a mature lady that takes care of things. i was then informed it would cost me over £220 to get it repaired .it didnt cost me that new to buy .if i wanted the netbook unrepaired it would cost me £25 delivery . i rang argos and was then told that they should have told me to take it back to the shop originally.so round in circles we go . has anyone else had this happen ? i need to get it back as citizens advice has inforned me the next thing to do .

sch i500 fascinate phone GPS
I purchased 2 Samsung Fascinate android phones end of summer, i have always been satisfied with Samsung and always heard good about Verizon wireless...but i feel completely shafted since being a small business owner making service trips to all of Ohio i need dependable service and GPS which neither Samsung or Verizon have shown interest. The phones GPS is broken, I have tried getting new phones but Verizon. Says its a software fix that Samsung nerds to update. All I want is what both Samsung and Verizon advertized with this phone ...dependable GPS!!!

Defective LCD TV
I am based in India and was visiting Singapore in the month of Jun 2010. I had purchased a TV from Kio IndPark 2 on 17 Jun 2010. The details are as follows:-
Dealership- Gain City

8 ANG MO KIO INDUSTRIAL PARK 2 SINGAPORE- 569500
Tax Invoice No- PSINV-10771628
Tax Invoice date - 17 Jun 10

transaction No- T0020514
Description Model -Samsung LCD TV 37 inch, LA37B530P7MXXS
Serial No- BJ4K3MRZ200211M
COST - 799 SGD
At the tme of purchase I was told that the TV would have international warranty. After use of just about 5 months the TV has become defective here in India.Whwn I took it to the local Samsung service centre here in Visakhapatnam, India I was tld that the TV has no international warranty as no international warranty card has been given to me by the sales person. I have been told that the LCD panel itself has become defective and it will cost me about 25000/indian rupees almost equal to 800 SGD same as the purchase cost of the TV. I am shattered by the deceitful behaviour of the sales team where in I have been intentionally duped by selling a defective TV and by not being give the promised international warranty. I have been calling the feedback hotline from here but have not got any positive response from anyone rather everytime I m told that someone would call me back. I am writing to you with the sincere hope that my issue will be addressed at the earliest by communicating with the local service centre whose address is given below

I was visiting the great city of Singapore and I thought may be buying a Samsung TV wont be bad idea since Samsung products were supposed to be more reliable. So I found out a dealership and ordered a 37 inches LCD TV costing me 800 dollars. I came back to India and started using the TV, it ran fine for 2 months and then just one night the screen went blank. I called the local authorized service centre and the Samsung helpline. I was told to send the TV to the service centre. After one day I was told that LCD panel and the PCB of the TV has gone bad and needs to be replaced. And the TV has been purchased in Singapore hence it can not be done under warranty and I would have to pay a sum of Rs 25000 in cash if I wanted it to be repaired. This is such a bull shit. You buy a product from a multinational company, which sells it on the name of International warranty. Fill a warranty card and then it turns out its not even valid in India. So one has to shell out double the cost in less than 3 months. Samsung Company you are such a pity and I am going to spread awareness about your products using all means including internet on everysite to show how you treat your customers.
