Dear Sir
my complaint no with samsung: 8413157136
I had purchased a split AC 5 star rating of make SAMSUNG on 12/03/2010 from a local dealer and on the very same day of the installation some whissing sound came from the indoor unit and the AC in not working. I had made the complaint with the authorities after consulting with the installation guy and then complaint registered with the samsung centre. But nothing has been happended till date. I had purchased the AC to use it on hot season and not for winter season. I also had a bad expereience with samsung earlier also ( takes 3 months to rectify my fridge). What else I had to do. How will I get the compensation for the delay and hardship occuring to me in this issue. The local service people says they will rectify it tomorrow or tomorrow.
Hope you will guide me in this issue and make a solution to this issue.
Thanking you

Disgraceful SAMSUNG LCD TV Promotion in Qatar on 11th March 2010
This has reference to the mega promotion of Samsung LCD 37" TV held in Doha Qatar on the 11th of March 2010.
This promotion was advertised in Qatar News Papers on the same day, and offer was 50% off on Samsung 37" LCD TV's.
Lots of people started going in to Samsung showrooms located in various places in Doha. It was a total disappointment for thousands of customers when they arrived at the show rooms. According to showrooms LCD Tv's were sold out even before they opening their show rooms??????
1) I was personally there to buy a 37" LCD TV at the Samsung Showroom located at the Centre Shopping Complex next to Ramada Plaza Hotel at 8.45AM as they open their showroom at 9am. What a strange answer from the Showroom Manager? He mentioned they got only 11 pieces and all were sold out even before opening the showroom.
2) Then from there I rushed my self with a friend of mine to AlNazar branch which will open at 9.30am. We reached the showroom at around 9.20am and what another reply from a Filipino salesman mentioning that they opened the show room at 7.30am and they sold out all the 37' LCD promotional TV's.
3) Then we went to LULU CENTRE and salesman at the showroom (TV Section) mentioned that they got 100 TV's for the promotion and all were reserved by the LULU CENTRE staff members.
This has been happened in almost every showroom and it was hard to find a customer who bought a TV other than the friends and relatives of showroom employees.
I think these kind of promotions are so disgraceful and a total dissapointment for th customers. Hope, many customers in Qatar would have complained about this and look forward SAMSUNG to take care of their reputation without letting the showroom managers and employees cheat the customers.
These comments were truly based on my experience and I heard the same with many of my friend

Warranty
I purchased a 24"TV Monitor combo and discovered a Pixal problem. I called Samsung for service and the person on the phone took my information had me ship to Amkotron Service In CA. So I ship it to the address and before I knew it, service was canceled before it was received. I called to find out what was going on and they said I haven't provided a receipt. I told them it was in the box I shipped it too. They told me they wiil check on it. Week later I logged in on the Samsung service site it check on my status, No messages. I called again and they continued to state I haven't provided a receipt. I told them AGAIN that it was in the box. Did you look in the box? they said they will have to verify and could you please hold for 2 to 3 minutes. I said o.k. This waiting thing they do all the time 2 to 3 minutes is fustrating, plus they repeatly say I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I went round and round with this receipt issue that I had to email what I had from where I purchased it from. Still they continue about no receipt until they played a game saying Oh we found it. Weeks later, whats my status now on my monitor? Let me check, could you please hold for 2 to 3 minutes. I also been transfer to God knows what this department does but I've waited 10 minutes with no answer. Finally soke with someone, they don't have the slidest Idea whats going on! I have to explain the hold story. Now I find out the monitor is on hold do to no serial number present in there system so they considered to be stolen!!! The hold time it has not been openned. Then out of no where there it is. Now they begin servicing my monitor. I told them I want a new or my money back. Could you please hold for 2 to 3 minutes I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Then I allowed to continue the service, big mistake. Its lost sir!! I will call you back to verify whats going on. Late that night I received a call and said they will ship me a new one next day. Great!. Got an email, your monitor will be shipped Monday, ( when at the time I got a late call it was wednesday) and will arrive on March 12th.
I received the Monitor Cracked and the back scraped badly. I contacted them again and gave me an email to send photos of which of course did not work. Now its Saturday March 13th 2010 still yet to resolve my problem.

Appliance Repair- Stove
I am having a hard time getting Samsung to pay for the repairs or even respond to my complaints.
I bought a Samsung stove & microwave and dishwasher. The stove's front burner has never really worked quite right. I reported it to their 1-888 number for service before basic warranty expired. They said someone would call me. I waited one month before calling back, they said they wrote my phone number wrong. They fixed it and said someone would call me, and I was good since I had reported it early enough to get it covered under warranty. Another month goes by, I call back. Now they say they are escalating the issue since their appliance company said my number was disconnected. I told them to try dialing the phone and they would see it's not disconnected. Finally, after 5 months, I get a call back from an appliance repair company who says Samsung won't honor the warranty since it' s now past the one year mark. This is bull crap! I called Samsung, and they are saying this is true, they will not cover it. I am so frustrated. It's their own fault they never fixed it, and they assured me numerous times they would still pay for it.
On top of that, my microwave installers took 3-4 months to install my microwave, so I've only had it for about a year. The handle broke off and Samsung said that is wear and tear and they won't cover it. I paid $1000 for a stove and microwave that don't work. I will never buy a Samsung again.

LCD TV
I bought a Samsung LCD TV 50". I lov(ed) it. It now just makes clicking noises, no picture, no sound other than the clicking. $$$ to call repairman to fix. Of course it is just out of warranty. (19 mo old). Big expensive TV, big expensive fix. This apparently is a common problem with Samsung. What kind of customer service is that?

Washing Machine
Guess I don't really need to reiterate everything that has been described about Samsung on here, but will anyways. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT. Not only their tv's but any product. 6 months ago we bought a brand new front loading washer and dryer. I paid $800 for my brand new washing machine. After it was installed, it never worked properly, and they keep telling me that they have the parts on back order for it. It has been 6 months since I bought a BRAND NEW washer, and it hasn't worked for 6 months. Maybe I have unrealistic expectations for customer service, but if the product didn't work brand new, then it needs to be replaced. Our repair company has been out to our house 4 times, each time being sent the wrong part to fix the issue. They have a tough time getting ahold of our area's representative. They have suggested to Samsung that we get our Washer replaced, but Samsung refuses to work with us because there is a "part ordered." Every person I have spoken with has been rude, and I keep getting empty promises that a manager will be calling me back shortly. Still waiting on the call backs. We are the in the market for a new fridge, oven, microwave, and dishwasher, and we refuse to even consider a SAMSUNG product. I don't care how good of a deal it may be. Why is Customer Service not important anymore?
