Warranty Service
I sent a customer repair for a warranty claim to Samsung's New service plaza having had nothing but trouble with phonetech in Nunnawadding sending all my repairs to the wrong place. My first repair sent to the plaza in Vermont was fine. They sent it back fixed and freight free as per Samsungs clause 5 in their terms of warranty.
It all went pair shaped when I sent a second repair and was phones when it was ready to say I would have to pick it up or pay to have it returned. THat goes against the Australian trade practices act and the fair trading act and Samsungs warranty terms. THey refused to co-operate. I called Samsung customer service who were basically rude saying I have to pay freight and that Samsung isn't a freight company. This is despite their warranty terms saying that they will arrange frieght at no cost to me.
This is a very poor performance by Samsung.

Sir I gone to Samsung Service centre & I told them all my problems but they refused to change the battery. they told that a passcode is rubbed from the surface of the battery so they r unable to change that, even such thing is not highlight in manual or by dealer to me. I'm puzzeled, what to do. Even my warrenty period is left.

Not standing by there warranty
Harvey Norman Rothwell QLD...
My son purchased an MP3 player last year and unfortunetly it got a fault with the product so it was returned to the store. It was sent away for repairs as it was in the first 12 month warranty period.. ... but it could not be fixed so the product was replaced. This was Great...We had purchased the extended warranty so it would be covered for 2 years.
But just recently the product again become faulty, and as it is now in the 2nd year part of the Harvey Normans warranty.
I rang the store and asked what we needed to do and were told that we just took it back, filled in the paper work, maybe a 24 hour waiting period..and the product would be approved to be replaced or we would be given store credit to the amount. Which was fine...
We went into the store, eventually was served, and we spoke to the staff tech guy and explained what had been happening with the product. He started saying that it could take a number of days to have the product get looked at and then he would decide what needed to be done with it...We said it was in the 2nd year warranty,
( REPLACEMENT WARRANTY ) which he replied it still needed to be checked to make sure there was something wrong with it, then it might get approved for a replacement.
As the product was no longer available and there wasn't even another product in that brand name to replace it we asked what happens in this case.. His reply was they would just give us one they thought was suitable..When we questioned this, because we felt we should have some say in the product.. The staff member was rude, and very abrupt, ... of course we were getting annoyed at the way we were being treated, in the end we said we would return the next day to discuss what was going to happen.
The next day was worse, because the tech guy accused us of lying, because the product hadn't played up when he looked at it.. well of course this didn't go down very well with us...
He said they would hang on to the product until it played up.. we wouldn't get a replacement or anything until he noticed the problem... We demanded to speak to the manager.. we got no where.. We asked to speak to the owner.. he refused to speak to us.. I eventually spoke to the owner by phone to be told that we were rude and had upset the staff.. and that this was there policy, and if we didnt like it take it some where else... So we have ! but NOT HAPPY!
We went back in to pick it up the next morning, to not being given all of the contents of the pack, and had to return to the store, which was another confrontation...Totally unbeliable...
We are hoping the Harvey Norman store at Morayfield will give us better service... There is no where to make contact with Harvey Norman for complaints...Unreal...

Monitor repair
A spot appeared on my 24 inch LCD monitor, about a thumb sized spot of dead pixels in the center of the screen. Called Samsung customer service. They sent me a ups label to ship it to a company called Amcotron. I sent the monitor received it back about a week and a half later with a much bigger spot of dead pixels and a scratched to hell frame. Called Amcotron figuring I'd give them the chance to correct this mistake, after several days of always having to call them back and find out what's going on, I sent them some pictures of the damage and they sent me a ups return label. I was told the parts to fix it were being ordered at that time so it could be repaired immediately and sent back to me overnight. This was not the case, over the next couple weeks I had to constantly call them back and find out what was going on with my monitor, they never called me back or emailed me to update me like I asked them to do. On OCT 7 i was told it was being fixed and sent back to me that day. On OCT 10, i called samsung and was told this was unacceptable and that I would be contacted by the Executive Customer Service department to have this issue resolved and that they would also be able to offer me compensation for my trouble. Today on OCT 13, I still dont have my monitor and Samsung basically told me that they are very sorry for this inconvenience but they can not offer any kind of compensation for this issue, they wouldnt even extend my warranty. The company Amcotron lied to Samsung and told them I was wrong that they never told me the monitor was being fixed on OCT 7 and that it was being shipped that day. I am completely appalled by this level of customer service by Samsung and Amcotron, and I will never by a Samsung product again.
