mobile phone
I paid almost 300 E. and got the new d880 phone with 2sim cards on 13th of thiw August. On the 11th of thiw Septemper the phone did not working. I visited the authorised dealer and after having the phone
checked they told my that there is not a damage by wet or falling down bud the device must be repaired.
i contact Samsung Hellas stated that this is a one month phone and i like to have a new one to replace the bad one.they told me that is the company's policy to repair although it is a brant new device.
As customers i think that we should have a replacement product for cases that we did not have bad use of the product.

TV
Purchased a Samsung plasma TV 30/4/06, 11 months later it wouldnt work. It took 10 weeks to replace, thats ok but now the replacement doesnt work!! It lasted a whole 15 months. When I spend $3, 500 on something I expect it to work for at least 5 years. I only had a 12 month warranty so - to bad so sad looks like I will have to buy another TV. GRRRRRRR

Subject: Report of Samsung Fridge Model No.SR-34EMB pending for repairs.

Sir,

Please refer to my complaint No.8407120323 dated 27.8.2008 regarding repair of my Double Door Fridge Model No. SR-34EMB, which has NO COOLING ALMOST SINCE LAST 3 MONTHS.

In this connection I would like to inform you that earlier in the month of May, 2008 the fridge started giving trouble and stopped cooling. We called Samsung and engineers of Samsung visited us and they filled the gas in the fridge as they told that there is leakage of gas from the fridge. We were charged nearly Rs.1400/- for filling the gas. Then after a few days, the fridge again stopped cooling. We contacted the Samsung Engineer who informed us to put hot water in the freezer compartment. He further admitted that it was the fault of the Samsung Engineer that he should have melted the frozen gas before filling the gas and that is the reason for the stoppage of cooling. Then in the month of August the fridge again started giving trouble and it was not able to cool things. In this connection, Mr. Jatinder, Technical Engineer of your company visited on 31.8.08 vide our complaint No. 8407120323 dated 27.8.2008 and reported for a replacement of a sensor and its inner body in order to get cooling. He said it would cost us another Rs.1900/- for making the cooling as normal. He further informed that the parts would be arranged within next 2-3 days. But when I called the Call centre, I came to know that the parts would be available only upto 10.9.2008.

Further, when no information came from your company side till 10.9.08 we again contacted the Call centre on 10.9.2008 and it was informed that the parts have been received and will be replaced today i.e. 10.9.08.

However, it has been informed by Mr. Usman, Supervisor in the evening at 5.15 pm of 10.9.08 that the said part received for replacement was damaged and it would again require another five working days to get another part i.e. upto 15.9.08.

In this connection you are requested to kindly look into the matter personally as earlier also we have given Rs.1400/- and now again your company is asking for another Rs.1900/- and that too for the same trouble i.e. for cooling and even thou when the problem was due to your company engineer as he had not melted the gas at the time of filling the gas in the fridge. As the fridge is constantly giving problems since the time of filling of the gas, you are requested to get the fridge repaired with no further charges as we have already paid charges for the gas and please get it repaired at the earliest possible.

Kindly acknowledge.

Thanking you,
Yours sincerely,

Bad service
I purchased a Samsung 50" Plasma TV on 3/2/08. On 8/3/08, it stopped working. No picture, no sound. I did the usual, checked the cable box, checked the connections, checked the surge protector, unplugged and replugged the unit. Nothing.

I called Samsung customer service 8/3/08 at 10:53 PM, spoke to Peter. He suggested unplugging it and replugging the unit. Then suggested plugging directly into the wall by passing the surge protector. Nothing. He then gave the name of a service provider. Told me to call the service provider and they would come to my home within two days.

8/4/08 - called the service provider. He said he would not come to my area, too far away. Said he had told Samsung this on a number of occasions.

8/4/08, 10:41, called Samsung service and spoke to Anthony. He said he would find another service provider. He called two companies; neither would come to my area. Anthony told me I was in a "no service" area and would refer my call to the Executive Customer Relations group. Anthony told me someone from ECR would call me before noon of the same day.

8/4/08, 7:55 PM, called Samsung, spoke to Josh. He told me there was nothing in my records about "no service" area or ECR. He suggested I call ECR the next day as ECR closes at 5PM.

8/5/08, 11:33 AM, called Samsung, spoke to Kim in ECR. She said nothing to report, suggested I call the next day.

8/5/08, 11:32 AM, called Samsung, spoke to Cathy in ECR. She explained that Samsung would have to exhaust all efforts to find a service provider. I asked how long that would take. Cathy said she didn't know. I asked how they would find a provider, since the closest providers to my area would not come to my house. Cathy said she didn't know that they do something with the computer to find a service provider. I asked if she could give me a ballpark range of how long it would take. I asked if I could speak to someone who could shed some light on the process. Cathy said there was no one else to speak to since I was dealing with the ECR which was as high as you could go. She again said she didn't know but told me I had only been waiting for three days, which isn't a long time. She suggested I call back on Friday, 8/7/08.

8/7/08, called Samsung, spoke to Debbie. Debbie said they had found a provider and placed me on hold to call and set appointment. When she came back on line, she told me that provider does not service my area. I asked how they were going to find a provider, since no one covers my area. She said they would have to work on it for 21 business days before they would consider any other options. I asked when the 21 days started, on my initial call, or when they found a service tech. She wasn't sure but assumed it would be from my initial call. She suggested I call back in a couple of days.

Here's my beef:

1. $2, 500, brand new Samsung 50" Plasma stops working 6 months after purchase.

2. Samsung can't find a repair technician in my area, but tells me to hang on for 21 business days while they try to round someone up.

3. I have to continually call them, instead of Samsung updating me on their progress.

I will never purchase another Samsung product.

Customer Service (Lack of)
On 1/31/08 I purchased a Samsung FPT5094 (50" Plasma Wireless TV)from a local TV & Appliance Store. On 7/1/08, this TV stopped working completely. We contacted this same dealer who referred us to Samsung's toll free number on 7/2/08.We have since been referred to Samsung's Executive Customer Relations Group at 800-522-7341.We were told from the beginning by Samsung that they had exactly 21 business days to try to repair this TV or we would get a replacement or refund. This TV has since been declared unrepairable by the Consumer Electronic Service, which is Samsung's repair center at (919)469-9247.It has now been 28 working days without resolution. We have been without this TV for over 5 weeks.Samsung's customer service department has been unwilling to return our phone calls nor have they responded to our request for a full refund. We were told by Samsung to provide the original bill of sale to start the refund process, but to date, they have not started this process. We financed this TV and are still paying on merchandise that is not operational.Over the course of these past 5 weeks, we have spoken to at least 20 different agents giving them the same details each and every time which shows there is no single point of ownership for our particular case #4002388450.Each agent has told us that we would receive a return phone call on the progress of our case. However, only one agent has called us back to inform us that we were receiving a refund.Obviously, this was not true. We also have this agent's message recorded on our phone as well as an e-mail document stating the same. We have been consistently requesting a refund and still are requesting a complete refund on this product without further delay. We have since filed a complaint with the BBB in Trenton, NJ

Noisy Refrigerator
I am very dissastified with Samsung appliances and will NEVER purchase another one and tell those I know not to purchase one either. My frig makes the most awful noise when it comes on. It's steady and constant until it turns off. This did not happen the first year. It was about 14 months old when it started. It is just a low squealing noise that grates on your nerves. Of course there is no recourse and when I get online to see if Samsung is replacing any defective parts I read of other complaints and they got no assistance. I'll make sure I stick with a BRAND NAME appliance manufacturer in the future. Of course who can go back out and buy ANOTHER 1500.00 frig 2 years later!! Best Buy salesman claimed this is the most popular and best frig they sell. Yeah right! Guess they are just trying to get rid of them!

Two months old digital TV went blank
On April 19th 2008, I bought a Samsung 27'' Slimfit TV from best buy, Chicago, (purchase reference number: 031306008555). It worked smoothly till July 9th, that means within two months it went blank, no power, no signal nothing...!! I felt like I am the unluckiest one in the world... coz TVs are believed to run for years without any problem.. i called the Samsung call center, for a service, they did say that they are going to repair it for free... but with a ray of hope I asked them if they can replace the TV, the customer agent answered me with a parable... that she bought a new jeans last week, but the button fell off... her heart broke, she explained me that all this happens in this consumer world. ha...!! well answered babe..!! you might become the employee of the month for the best call of the month... anyway... my TV is not yet repaired by them, its 24th of july today... they keeps on rescheduling my home service. God knows when they are going to appear!

But anyhow, I will never go for Samsung appliances, they may be good, but for a prompt service after the purchase, they are not good... you might regret for the level of quality of their customer service.

God bless Samsung, best bedi!

No repair
In mid April I bought a Samsung Tv at the Brick and I set it up in the beginning of May. I watched 2 Hockey games and about 3 1 hr movies and it failed (no Picture). When reported they sent a repairman out and he told me it was the lcd screen, that was the beginning of June. I contacted them a number of times to no avail and then today I was told (6 weeks later) that they only service the sets and I would just have to wait until the part came in.

Bad service
Sai Services - Samsung's authorized service agent is the most pathetic service provider I have come across. They will never send people on time for servicing. They will call you but will never send the service engineers. Samsung should strip this agent of being its authorized service provider if they care about their reputation.
