This was the last Samsung product I will ever purchase
I own a Samsung refrigerator and its compressor packed up 1 month to the day after the warranty expired. I attempted to get some help from Samsung but they are not interested in even listening to me.

I feel they can at least offer to pay for the compressor and I will pay the labour for the repair that was quoted at $700.00(including compressor)

As long as one buys a product from a manufacturer they do not care what happens afterwards. What can we as consumers do to get better service from manufactures that needs us to buy their products.

This was the last Samsung product I will ever purchase.

Bad Service
My husband & I bought a Samsung 42" HD TV with stand and 36 month service repair plan. The total cost of $1949.24. Our TV had a code come upon screen(check fan 2) then it went off. It will not play when this happens. I called the service dept. They told me it would be 2 weeks til someone could come out. They sent a tech. out on April 3, 08. He looked at it & said it was a small bug in the fan. The TV played for 4 hours then, another code came up(check fan 1). So the TV went off again. I called the service dept. again. When the person told me another 2 weeks, I was very upset. The service person got very mouthy with me. She was very unprofessional and is hurting CONN"S buisness... She & my husband exchanged words. I asked to speak to a supervisor, she put us on hold. She came back on and said he was out and she could take a number, he would return our call. That did not happen. I called back the next day, still no results. We will NEVER buy from CONN"S again. This I am sure of. We will not stop untill something is done about this service dept.

WORST SERVICE BY SAMSUNG IN BANGALORE
I purchased Samsung fully automatic top loading washing machine from Adishwar's, Rajajinagar, Bangalore. The Show room service person completed the deomstration in 3 minutes!! and fled the scene without even showing us how to drain the water out. The brand new washing machine is now full of dirty water and we have not used it even once. Show room person says' It is not our responsibility'. There is no response from the customer care since 6 days!

After sales service is really worst!!!

Poor warranty service!
Purchased a 5 year warranty on a 50 inch Samsung - In the third year the lamp engine went out and we were told the repair would be quick - not even close - it has been 2 months and no lamp engine - they said they were on backorder - NOT RIGHT - being without the TV is like being in jail!!! You can't communicate with anybody who really gives a hoot - so I doubt I would ever again buy a SAMSUNG!!!

Return agreements!
I ordered an all in one Samsung printer for $200 from newegg. Worked find for two weeks and then when I just used the copy function, the printer compressed it all to half the page leaving the other half blank. I called Samsung and they reset the machine and nothing changed. Samsung said it could not be repaired and should be returned to newegg under there 30 return.

I called newegg, got an RMA after full disclosure of the problem. Newegg said return the item and will will give a full refund. I found another box and packed it up real good. Then 6 days later got an email stating they received the item and they will let me know about my refund. Let me know? That had been decided before I ever sent it to them! I called and asked what this is all about, They will let me know? They said because I did not return it in it's original box, that they will decide if I get any refund at all. I said that was not the agreement. That the item was defective, that Newegg said return it for a full refund. The return CSR stated that because I did not inquire to the original CSR if it could be returned in other then original packaging, then it is my fault for not asking and that they can turn down my refund on the defective product.
I said I didn't ask a lot of questions as I took the CSR at his word. She said it is my obligation to ask if it can be returned in another box.

I said then if I didn't ask it it could be sent Fedex, then you could turn it down because it was sent UPS.? She just said my fault for not asking. In the end, the onus is on the customer to ask every conceivable question regarding the return to be sure every base is covered. Otherwise they will determine it is your fault and deny the refund. Bear in mind, the original CSR said, "return the item for a full refund." The policy then exempts what the original CSR says and places requirements on the customer to rule out any possible dispute in advance disregarding what the CSR says. In the end, they will make an exception and provide full refund but still stand by this "customer is responsible for asking all questions in advance which could rule out any refund regardless what they tell you."

Laptop Q45
This is about the Latpop Q45 and the samsung waranty service. The laptop failed and Samsung Electronics requested to send the laptop with the batery and the power supply. So I posted it to Samsung and I got only the Laptop - without the batery and power supply. I call them and they said I did not sent them the batery and there is no record that I sent it. Then I asked to talk to senior adviser to solve the problem. After my explanation, she agreed that the batery will be sent in next 10 working days. After 4 weeks I called them again and they said there is no such record that I requested the batery. So i did it again. I kept calling them for 3 months to get my batery back and I didn't. I bought a new batery on ebay and paid my phone bill(I used mobile to call them so the price for the phone calls were bigger than the cost of batery btw). This is the worse service team and structure I have ever deal with.

TV Repair, "Warrenty"
Purchased a Samsung 42 Plasma Model HP-S4273 less than 12 months ago. I understand that things sometimes go bad with electronic devices. The issue is the warranty pain and misery. I first complained to Samsung on 12-14-07 . They assured me a representative to repair the TV would come to my house to repair it. They finally arrived on 02-12-08 and took the TV due to it needed a front panel replacement. I spoke with the repair center on 02-25-08 and was told from them that Samsung says the part is not available at this time. I called Samsumg on 2-25-08 and was assured by Rich with the "Executive Customer Service Group" the part would be sent over night to the repair center , and I would have my TV this weekend . As of today 02-29-08, (17 days later the TV was taken away ) Taylor says "the part has not been shipped", and they will do nothing other than to they say, " the repair proceedure is in progress". Note to all, beware of any warrenty policey, you'll be the hostage !!!!! Sorry to say this past purchase will be the final dollar spent with Samsung !!! I plan to post this same email everywhere I can...$2200.00 for a TV that includes NO CUSTOMER SERVICE and no TV in my living room. Oh ya, the cable bill still getting paid, by me !

French Door Refrigerator
I purchased a Stainless Steel French Door Refrigerator model RF266AASH on 11/10/2007. The refrigerator stopped cooling on 2/14/2008. I notified Samsung and the store where it was purchased on 2/14/2008. A repairman came on 2/19/2007 and stated the computer was defective. He ordered another board and it did not come in until 2/26/08. It was installed and the repairman said the fans are working and I should not open it or store any food in it for 24 hours. He left and 3 hrs later I checked and the fans were not running and the temperature was 69 degrees in the fridge and freezer. This morning , 2/27/2008, it is at 70 in the fridge and 74 in the freezer. I called Samsung yesterday and they were not helpful and rude. They said the repairman needs to come back. I called the repair company and they never returned my call. I called this morning and they said they would fit me in but could not give me a time. Be wary of Samsung products as the customer service is terrible. I have had to eat out every day because I do not have anyplace to store perishable food. This is quite an expense on top of the huge inconvenience. I want a refund so I an purchase a reliable brand but know this will be a battle not easily fought. My next step is consumer affairs and the attorney general for NJ. I will then approach the media.

Bad quality product!
There is a 3 year warranty on the monitor. I have had it only 7 months, it is in pristine condition and it just stopped working. Following the terms of the warranty, Samsung sent a replacement which is a "refurbished" monitor that had a crack on the base and was dusty. They will now replace this with another refurbished monitor. I paid for and expected better quality. I will not trust any of Samsungs products in the future.
