Poor quality product!
On september 7th 2007 i sent my 40 inch lcd tv off for repair. I followed there rules, and it has been 2 weeks, and the people repairing my tv still has not received it. I live about 2 hours from where it was to be repaired at. I tried to contact samsung 5 times, and was on hold for 45 mins. Still no answer. I purchased this tv 9 months ago, and the picture has already gone out. I would not recommend anyone to buy a samsung tv!

Lost my mobile

I've launch GD at Jadavpur Police Station. GD No.- 413, Date- 05/09/2007. at 10.30am. If u got the mobile then return me immediately as soon as possible.

Service center not giving me satisfaction!
I'm Sachin. I have purchased a desktop from ESYS from the Starting Day(1st Jan 2007) i got problem in my monitor. When i complained to the company. They transfer me to samsung by saying that the monitor is manufactured by samsung. Samsung took my monitor to service center. And return me after the 10 days. The problem is not yet solve & they didn't return my stand.

Pathetic after sales service!
I was gifted a Samsung HT Q20 home theater system recently. The wires which connect the DVD player to the speakers/ woofer were lost in transit. Since then, calling up Samsung has become a part of my weekly (if not daily) routine and so far I have called them up at least 8 times. First, they said they will send someone to fix it. After so many days someone (supposedly their technical man) comes up and says "Oh, I see that the wires are missing." Thank you, Sir but thats something we figured out long back. He said he will come back with the wires but I guess he lost his way to my house since then. I have been calling them up on regular occasions only to hear answers like - sir, we don't have the wires/ sir we cant do anything; get it from the local market. I have visited countless Samsung shops and talked to almost all their service centers in Delhi and no one seems to have a clue as to what to do about it. Is this the kind of after sales service you can expect for a high tech product like a home theater esp from a company like Samsung? I am very much contemplating going to the consumer court. It pains me all the more because it breaks all the myths I had in my mind about the "coolness" of Samsung which led me to buy an LCD TV, a small TV and a microwave all of brand Samsung.

DVD/VCR combo unit
We purchased the DVD/VCR unit Model 320 in March 2005. After just a few months it would stop recording and would not record on DVD. We sent it in for repairs 2 times and finally on the third time they sent us another unit. Unfortunately, it was a re manufactured unit and a different model 330. It will not record at all and won't even take blank disks. Now Samsung won't do anything about it. If you ever need help don't ever let them transfer you to executive customer support. That is just the way of saying we are sending you to a group of people who can deal with your complaint and say NO! Horrible way of dealing with people. We strongly recommend that you NEVER buy any form of Samsung product EVER!

Not honoring company warranty
I Purchased a Brand new Backjack I607 cell phone (with 1Yr manufacturer warranty) and within 30 days(rarely used), the cell phone froze up. I called up Samsung and opened a work order with them and shipped the cell phone per their instructions. After 45 days I received the cell phone back from them along with a letter stating that the circuit board is cracked and it is not covered under warranty and that they can do nothing about it. I called them up several times with no avail. This cell phone is hardly used and never dropped on the floor or water and still looks brand new without a single scratch. They even stopped responding to my calls and letters.

I am stuck now with a non-functioning phone and this is the worst company ever.

RERIGERATOR
I BOUGHT MY REFRIGERATOR LAST YEAR AND HAVE NOTHING BUT TROUBLE WITH IT. IT'S A SIDE BY SIDE MADE BY SAMSUNG. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL REPAIR PEOPLE TO MY HOME AND THEY STILL CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT.MODEL NUMBER RS2630WW.I JUST CALLED THEM AGAIN AND THEY KEPT GIVING ME NAMES OF COMPANIES TO CALL BUT THE COMPIES DON'T DO YOUR WORK ANYMORE OR THEY DON'T SERVICE MY AREA. THEY TOLE ME THEY SENT TO ANOTHER LADY FOR PRIORITY PROCESSING.STILL NOHTHING HAPPENING.I WHAT THEM TO TAKE THIS THING BACK. IT'S A LEMON.IT BUILDS UP FROST AND FORMS ICE ON THE BACK PANEL INSIDE THE FREEZER DEPT.

RT440 refrigrator problems
I bought in feb 2006 a 440 lt samsung frost free from samsung digital home, amritsar, punjab.
Within 5 months of purchase, there was a problem of water leakage and jammed temperature controls.

Since then, i have complained regularly (once every 20 30 days) to the local service station but they attribute all this to "design flaws" in the fridge. The extent of their their technicians "service" was to use a blow drier /jug of boiling water on the faulty temp controller which they claim is the problem. Ever since this summer started, the cooling also started going down.

Things came to a head this july, when the fridge stopped cooling and the freezer worked intermittently. The technicians visited me on 8,9,10,12,13 and 14 july but each time they had different diagnosis (different technicians !) but no solutions. The extent of their "service" was to chuck boiling water into the freezer cooling vents which unjammed the controls temporarily, but they froze soon after.

One bright chap said the vents were too small and proceeded to file them to a larger size. he claimed this problem was common in all fridges of this model. As expected, no effect, no cooling and lots of leakage.

Next guy changed some temp control parts and charged 580/- out of which 200 was for parts and rest for labor (he had to open THREE screws and snip lots of retainer clips which he didn't replace). since i was at wits end, i coughed up even though the company should have taken responsibility since this was a problem which developed within 5 months of purchase.

What gets my goat is that the next day 14/7/07 when the same problems recurred the guy who sold me the fridge blew me off saying he had no time to listen to my problems (even though it was the first time i was talking to him, and that too only because HE had told me to call him if the problem persisted). In the meantime, the "engineer" limited his servicing to bitching about how they have to suffer because the fridges have these problems out of the factory.

On consulting other mechanics i have found that there are NO faults in other fridges of this model (so much for design flaws). Also, that all the boiling water is going to create problems of rusting and failed insulation very soon. Also that the vents being filed to a larger size means that the temp controller is effectively bypassed.

Most unprofessional, untrustworthy and unconcerned company with an attitude problem to boot.
I want them to a. repair at their cost b. refund my cash c. indemnify in writing that future rusting /insulation failure will be tackled free by them d. if they claim a design flaw, change the fridge with one which works.

Worst service!
This is to bring to your notice, a very bad experience in terms of the product as well as the customer service at Samsung. We have purchased a (1.5 ton) A/c from a dealer "Ponnmoney" in Month of May2007in Chennai. From the date of purchasing we have been experiencing a lot of problems with the A/C and the after sales service.

1) Inspite of being in warranty period, the A/C was practically not functional with no cooling at all

2) Repeated attempts to contact the Samsung - Customer Service (which is of no use) to Mr. Manikandan- the servive Manager of samung chennai, that have been unsuccessful with they not responding to the complaints, disconnecting the calls on repeated attempts to contact them and sending their service personnel across.

3) The persons send by service centre were not able to give any concrete reasons as to why the A/c's are not functioning, thus seems that an inefficient staff is employed, ultimately our company has to waste its time and energy at office hours. Seems it was our wrong decision to purchase SAMSUNG a/c.

4) Even after putting the A/c for repairing to SAMSUNG service center, its of no use.

After all such possible attempts to repair my A/c, I have lodged my complaint here, and now if there is no response (I want my A/C to work properly) within 2 to 3 days I am forced to bring this picture in media and also to take legal action against everybody.

Defective monitors
Samsung monitor service.

Called to receive replacement monitor. Had a $500 retainer put on my debit card to have the replacement sent to my home. Received a defective monitor. Sent it back. They kept the $ hold on my account.

The second replacement monitor was sent to a UPS store when it should have been sent directly to me. No $ hold is necessary for this type of replacement transaction. It took a 30 minute phone call to get my money released.

The total time I had to spend on the phone with Samsung, just to get a replacement monitor is over 2.5 hours. This includes the original phone call, 3 to get the defective replacement taken care of, and the last to get my $500 back. I am not sure I would have had it refunded if I did not call.

I had to wait days for the broken replacement to get back to the service center before they would send a second replacement. They would not expedite the release of the second monitor.

This has taken over 3 weeks.

Now, I have to go out to a UPS store to pick up the second replacement and drag my old on with me.
