Misleading customers
I was called by one of the agents at altech autopage, with regards to a Sony Ericson w995. Unaware of which phone it is, I asked the agent, who then told me it is the latest sony ericson wakman phone. I was really intrested in purchasing the phone, and so I signed up for it, after I googled the phone. The agent told me that I will be paying R235 p/m and receiveng R250 airtime p/m as it is a top up contract. Two days later, someone else from auto page contacts me, to confirm my details again. I was then made aware that I will not be getting the w995, but I will be getting the w395! I then asked he ady to cancel, as I did not want to pay for an OLD phone! Money was already taken from my account, she told me she will have an agent call me back immediatly. The agent then called me after 2 hours, very rude and unpleasant to speak to. This agent then tried convincing me that I was told that it is the w395, and not w995. She then took my ID number, and said that she would cancel it. I waited 3 days for confirmation, and still did not get it. I then made numerous amounts of calls to the call centre to find out if it was cancelled or not, I dont know until today (which is a week after signing up) if i will be charged for the phone, and if my money is going to be transfered back into my account. I think Altech needs to be closed down, as the staff are damn RUDE! The agents are misleading customers, and there senior staff does NOTHING about it!!!
