Two golf reservations for 2 people were placed with San Diego Golf Reservations (858-456-8300) on February 19 at a charge of $198 for each reservation. The tee times were scheduled for March 25 and March 27. Subsequently we saw on the internet that "senior rates" were available - something that was not mentioned by San Diego Golf. A phone to San Diego Golf within 3 days cancelled the reservations they had made for us. My credit card is now showing a credit of $178 for each reservation. The explanation from San Diego Golf as to the discrepancy ($10 per person per reservation) was that a cancellation fee was their "policy". No mention was made about this "policy" at time of booking. Is there some sort of consumer protection for this hidden fee? Thank you.
Reservations made in the names of Parnell Porter and Barbara Porter at Riverwalk Golf Course in San Diego.
