Website-Login Failure
Is there anyone out there that has been successful in logging onto their site? Even when they email me a temorary password it doesn't work. So then we try forgot username...How the heck do we answer a security question when we can't see the question. This has been going on for 8 months now. Irritated.

payments
Got a Nissan Sentra, make my payments on time, should be paid by 11/2011, santander took over my account, now my payments end on 11/2012, payments still $457 a month, have had problems every month, they reject my bank statements, saying its not proof of payment, have now been reported twice to the credit companies, no help from the "Customer Service", made online payments thinking the problems would stop, had been making payments from western union, got late fees charged, tried mail, they said they arrived late, there feels like nothing I can do to get this over and done with, according to them I still owe almost $9000, the car is worth less than $5000 now, appears to be never ending with these people, and of course no one knows what is going on over there!!!

Car Loan
Santander needs to change their policies. I was late on my payments and tried to bring my account up tp date. I was given the option to take a settlement. I f I did not pay the $7000 with in 30 days my car would be taken. I met my payments. Now when I ask for the title I was told 5 days. I called back and was told my loan is not charged off and I had a balance. I was also told by Jason Chapel there was no recipt I could get stating I met my agreement. When I asked for the manger above him, he did not want to disclose this information. The practices need to change.

This company needs a dictionary to look up
First, my original loan was NOT with this company. I had autopay with CitiFinancial--the company I did use to finance my vehicle--and so was somewhat surprised when I received an email informing me that Santander had taken a payment in the amount of my monthly loan payment from my checking account. I was surprised because I had no clue my account had been sold. I did a little research and found that CitiFinancial was no longer servicing their customers. I was angry at the lack of communication from either company involved, but didn't make a formal complaint because the latter company was taking only the amount of my normal loan payments. I deeply regret being so complacent now.

I recently refinanced my car through my credit union at a much lower rate. I took all the steps I was told to take by Santander's customer service rep, up to and including making an online request and fax request that the autopay deductions stop as Santander no longer had a lien on my vehicle. Unfortunately, and now I see after reading this complaint board, unsurprisingly, they still took the full amount of my payment 22 days after they received the check from my credit union. I tried my very best to be businesslike and non-combative. This got my NOWHERE. Upon calling and describing the problem to another CSR, I was asked to fax a printout of my bank statement to them. I did so immediately. I was told the problem would be resolved in 72 hours. I waited 7 working days before calling back after I still had not received the returned funds. That was when I was told that the second CSR I'd spoken to had made a mistake; according to the THIRD CSR, it took 72 hours for the accounting department to receive and review the request for a return of the funds they had no right to--but it could take up to 45 days for them to actually return them.

I'm sorry. WHAT?!?! Can I start charging you interest and penalties, Santander, as you most certainly would do if I were 45 days late on a payment?

I'm a pretty easygoing person in most cases. I'm a middle school teacher; patience is a required virtue. However, after repeatedly speaking to yet more CSRs, I have reached the limit of patience and good Southern upbringing. I've explained ad nauseum that I need to make a car payment to the company that actually does currently hold my loan and have received nothing but sarcasm, snark, and discourteous language from the legion of CSRs I've had the pleasure (sarcasm and snark of my own) of dealing with.

I highly suggest the people who write the phone script for these people remove the "How may I offer you excellent service" spiel from their greeting before someone injures themselves laughing at the incongruity of this statement and the actuality of dealing with Santander.

Also, and just to add a bit more insanity to the situation, my most recent CSR pal told me that if I filed a complaint it would reset the magic 45 day countdown to getting my money.

Rock. Me. Hard Place.

FEES -REPO
OMG So I woke up this morning to NO CAR!! When I called Santander to ask them if there was any reason to take my car (before I called the police FREAKING OUT ) They explained to me that I was 96 days past due when I asked them on what they told me I owe them 3, 500 in FEES !! Yet I sent them a total of 3 car payments for this year even thought my loan was matured 1/22/11 the man confirmed with me that they recvd jan feb and march?? - I had known that I owed a couple because since they took over my loan from Triad, I have had nothing but problems, cashing pymts WEEKS after I sent them, whatever so I didnt mind sending what was noted on a bill... I talked to a Shaniqua - Maria and Silvia today.. they tell me to pay it in FULL or 940.00 today to do a modified Loan for 12mths Who in there right mind wants to loan with them EVER! so I say fine whatever lets get it done, unfort I do not have 3, 500 to drop on these F''ers so I ask for the loan..thinking I will just pay it in 2 mth and be done well now they tell me that I have to wait for the payment to post (24hours) yet they have already taken it out of my account, and I have to call them tomorrow to make sure that everything is processing, then I have to wait for them to email me Loan papers then fax them back then call them again, can take up to 5 days to do this and APPROVE THE LOAN ! WAIT WHAT its not approved?? well News Flash they have F'd up my credit so bad what if they DONT APPROVE IT!! not only do I NOT know whats going on but I just paid 940.95 (10.00 conv fee) and my car is going to sit in a lot for at least 5 days 85.00 today and 35.00 everyday it is there just to get an approval .. so if they dont approve it THEN WHAT! refinance
When Santander took over my auto loan from HSBC, I called to ask if I could get a lower rate as my credit had inproved. I also had a cosigner with excellant credit. They told me there were no options to refinance, even with a cosigner with a 740 credit score. I am paying a 10.6 percent loan, and am seeking to finance the balance of $9000 of my $25000 loan at a lower rate. I did not ask for Santander to take over my auto loan.

Santander theft and poor business
Tried to register on Santander's site to monitor my payments and balance, but says that my email is already on file.. but I never registered.. Every time I call them they give me an excuse of why I cannot give me my login information, understandably, but instead state that they will reset my password. I never receive that password through my email. Then the bank started deducting my car payments out of my retired mother's bank account (no idea how they got her information since she has never done business with them), at the same time I was paying EXTRA on my account.. the worst part is, they never credited her money to my account.. it went missing?? hmmm.. but her bank showed clearly that Santander did a withdrawl from her account in the amount of $515 (my car payment is only $463). On top of that, the extra money I pay is not being paid toward principal (which means I will never pay this car off no matter HOW much I pay them..)..

Damage: My mother's credit union account of 21 years was closed down due to overdrafting PLUS the fees accumulated.

This bank is a scam..

Auto Reposession
I bought a car in Oct 2008 & financed through HSBC. In March 2010 I found out that my loan had been sold to Santander. This company has some of the worst customer service and policies I've ever experienced. Once they get a phone#, they constantly are calling you to harass you about payment. If you try to call them back, you cannot talk to a live person...so they never know that you have attempted to contact them. Bottom line, we fell behind on our payments due to some health issues and associated bills and they agreed to defer payment. I now know that they tack this on to the end of your loan and interest accrues all the while. Come to find out I fell behind as deferrment was never processed and another payment was due before I could get resolved as you never talk to the same person twice. I was told that standard procedure is you go to voicemail if you request to speak to a manager and they will call you back. That never happened until one day when I insisted to stay on the line until I spoke to a manager and then she was incredibly rude, disrespectful and of no assist. Long story short, without notice, two men arrived at my door on January 15 to repo my car for non-payment, even though I'd told them I would have money in the next 2 weeks and would bring my account current. I relinquished the care; when I called to get status of repo I was told some unreasonable amount of money that was due and informed that to get my vehicle back I would have fees above the quoted amount. The car evidently was sold at auction. This week the phone calls and automated messages started again from Santander...asking for the payment of the balance of my loan. I've been paying on this car for 3 years and my loan amount is barely below the amount I signed for when I bought the car! I've asked for documentation and cannot get my hands on it. Now they want over $7700.00! I read on Pissed Comsumer.com that there is a class action lawsuit against Santander - does anyone know the status of this? 60 Minutes has also been called. We need to stand together and get these predatory lenders out of our lives! I need an attorney - anyone have a good recommendation-live in KY. Thanks

Overcharge me for payments attempted tp repo my truck
When Santander took over Citi Financial Auto I have been overcharged for payments I have already made (over $1, 3000),
They now have attempted to repo my truck and have said I still owe more money. Who do we go to for this illegal treatment. I am paying off the truck (The inflated amount that is more than my Citi Fiancial Auto Contract), then I plan to fight them. I do not know another way to keep them from taking my vehicle. They said if I pay them they will send the title and stop the repo. This is completely illegal this company is out of the country so do we go to the Federal Government, State, who controls these crazy people and how does Citi Fiancial Auto sell my paper and change the terms?
