I have been dealing with Sanyo in regards to this particular telephone since January 12, 2006. The defective telephone unit was sent back to Ontario via courier (Sanyo refused any other type of method of return) at my expense of 30.15. The subsequent replacement was returned to me on February 2-06 and did not work at all, whereas the unit I returned had a defective base-charger and was at least useable although it had an annoying beeping noise detectable by the person I was calling, but not by myself (I experienced "cutting out" ). I will attach a copy of Mr. Benz's response to me.
I have let them know, in no uncertain terms, that I am uninterested in having this system, repaired, replaced or returned to me as it is unreliable and was quite an expense to me in the first place. I am currently without a telephone (I have had to borrow an old telephone from a friend so I at least have something) and am unable to afford to purchase a new one. The original cost to me was 136.80 and I expect to have that fully refunded to me as well as the 30.15 I spent to courier the first unit to them for repairs.
