This is regarding Sarah Anne's LTD located 279 King St in Charleston SC. I advise everyone to never shop there! I had the worst experience ever and this is how it began...I woke up on Saturday,
December 4, 2004 and decided to go shopping along King Street in Charleston South Carolina because they have the best shops. Well.

I walked into Sarah Anne's LTD and I wish I never had. The store was having a sa;e of 75% off select holiday items. So after I made my purchase, I left the store and as I was walking down the road, I did some math in my head and realized that I paid more than I should have. I immediately returned to the store and this is where the hell began. I showed my receipt to the cashier named Rosalie ( who was very nice-its not her fault her boss is a witch) and she admitted and apologized for this mistake. I was overcharged $ 5.92. To some, that is not a lot of money, but to me, it is.

The owner, named Sarah, was standing right there and told me that I could go pick out 2 items valued at the same price I paid full price for ( $3.95 each item) I informed the owner that I already have all the items I wanted from her store and that I would like to get my money back( 5.92 ) She flat out refused because of her No cash back policy. It wasn't like I was trying to return an item and get my money back, I was trying to get my money back for something I was overcharged for.

The whole thing turned so ugly! She started screaming and so did I. She then told me that I do not belong in her store and that I belonged in TJ Maxx and Marshalls. (keep in mind that King Street is an upscale shopping area) I just could not understand why she would not give my money back. So I called the City of Charleston police department to have them send an officer to the store.

I waited outside for the officer, while she went to try to get my money back. She came out empty handed. The officer informed me that because of the store policy, this was not a criminal matter and that I would have to take her to small claims court to get my money back. I think that she (sarah the owner) should have been arrested for theft, because she's a thief for stealing out of my pocket! The whole thing is really sad because during this time a year, one should not be so hateful. I just wanted to warn others about shopping a stores with a no cash back policy, so they won't experience what I did.
