After signing her retainer, and writing a check for $5000, she passed the case to an inexperienced associate. Her associate, Ms. Prinz convinced me to sign a temporary maintenance agreement to pay my ex-wife a huge sum of money each week saying that "it will only be for a few months, and its cheaper to pay that than to have me fight it" an hour later, she tells me she has a doctor's appointment that she doesn't want to miss. It was clear that she preferred to get the deal over with rather than spend the time fighting for my case. In the end, this "few month" took two years. Other lawyers I consulted with said that the amount was far too high.
When I signed the retainer I also asked what would happen if I ran out of money. Sari said "We will work with you." Then when I did run out, Sari motioned the court to be relieved. The court usually does not do that, but she did it in a way that I would have had to get a lawyer to fight it. I could not afford to fight it and didn't see the point of having her as my attorney. So I had to borrow another $5000 to hire another lawyer and start over.
The family court kicked my ex-wife out of the house. They gave me FULL custody of my kids. How do I end up having to pay for child care and paying my ex-wife as well???? If I was a woman, this wouldn't have happened. Sari is NOT a 'Father's rights' attorney as she claims.
This was a clear and simple case. She made it long, painful, and complicated. Sari is a liar. She pads her bill. She should not be practicing law.
