I received a call in November stating my daughter had indicated she was interested in getting SAT prep materials. After listening to your telemarketer, I agreed to get the CD. Upon receipt of the CD, I promptly called back the SAT and ACT centre and returned the Cd, seal uunbroken. I have been waiting since November for a creidt. YTo my dismay, I have been advised by my creidit card company, BOA Visda, they willnot refunds the money due to it being too long of a time frame. I kept being told I should have disopputed the charge when Ireturned the item. how was I to know the company would LIE to me fo rmonths, saying my credit wouldbe postd to advise me they had dropped the merchant and theri ws nothing they can do. Below are details (of calls I did remember to write down):
11/6: VISA posts $119.99 charge from to the SAT and Prep Center
11/26/08 Item mailed back, via USPS, with delivery confirmation and insurance
11/29/08 USPS delivery confirmation on November 29, 2008 at 2:17 pm.
1/8/09 Andrea: item received and in quality control. I should call back.
3/10/09 Item received; will review why I do not refund with a supervisor.
3/20/09 Put on hold two times (15 minutes each time); no response
3/24/09 Amy; Refund approved; nn to check with supervisor why not posted
4/29/09 Renee; will call me back to see why not refunded (never called)
5/4/09 Amanda; Credit will be issued to my card within 5 days (it was not)
5/ 18/09 left message to call back; no reply
6/1/09 left message with number to call back; no reply
6/5/09 Mr Borton; Merchant switch; I should contact Visa directly and dispute charge. SAT Prep Centre can't do anything.
6/5/09 Elizabeth at VISA; complete dispute charge form
6/10/09 Advised by VISA they cannot give me a creidti as it outside the normal 30 day time frame. I assumed when I kept being told I would get mey refund, I would, eventually.
Why am I out $119? Pathetic. I am now in the process of trying to se if the State Attorney General can do anything about getting me my refund.
