bill payments
my name is PURUSHOTHAM, with credit card no. 4317 5753 0400 9690. i hav already paid the bill amount of rs.5, 000 from the total of rs.10, 655.62, for the month of july through the cheque belonging to united bank of india, the cheque no. is 393499 and the payment date is 6 july 2010. but the statement which i recevied in august, it is showing the same amout and not showing any results of the payment of rs.5000. and i also received the cleard cheque of rs.5000 on 9th july as i hav paid the payment. so, please kindly solve it and send the correct balance on my bill, by removing all the fines and interest charges which you have charged. I have right to approach to consumer court.

No solution has been provided
In the month of August 06 i had paid my dues against SBI Credit card to SBI Cards but unfortuneatly while writing the my credit card no by mistake I have written one number wrongly. But the SBI has incashed both the cheques well on time that is before the duedate. In the month of September 06 when I received my statement I was surprised to know that payment had not been credited against my credit card number. Immediately I takeup the matter with SBI Cards with all possible contects like on SBI Credit Card website mail to mr Ajay Bharti (Vice President, SBI Credit Cards) rang to SBI Credit cards 24 hours helpline numbers everytime I got a assurance from SBI Phone Banking executive that the matter will be solved within 5 to 6 working days. I had sent my bank account statement showing the payment has been credited to SBI Card thru by post and thru fax as well but all these activities couldnot be able to solve my problem.
In December 06 I had received mail from manager customer services SBI Cards that they had recieved my cheque and the same has been credited in to my account. But in this process more then 9months passed and I am keeping in touch with SBI cards with all possible methodes to contect to please reverse all my charges occured during this communication. But till date no solution has been provided rather harassing for payment.

Dear Sir,
The following is the copy of the letter written to you, On 12th May 2008.
I write this letter to demand you the closure of my credit card account and cancelation of the same. This is because your office is now a center of fraud. Debiting late fee without any reason was the usual fraud and now started with new item i.e. making alterations in the check issued in your favour and presenting and encashing through clearing.
On the request of your Chennai office, I have issued a cheque for Rs.430/-
Dated 31-03-2008 towards full settlement of my credit card account.
On verification of my Bank account I found that the above said cheque bearing number 005578 presented for payment after alteration of the amount both in figures and words to read as Rs.1430/- and received payment.
(Copy of receipt no: 11022590 for Rs. 430/- issued by your collecting agent of Trivandrum already forwarded to you with this letter of 12th May 2008.)
I never had such experience before . I lost all faith on your bank credit card and hence demand closure of the account. Your credit card already proved to be a burden for me since 2006 April, I was not using the card since June 2006. I was waiting for clearing all my genuine dues. They are over by February 2008 and hence demand the closure of the account.
So far, your office had debited me without reason delebrately every month with various amounts (Rs.336.72/- to Rs.674.16/-) and a total amount of Rs.5222.70/-. You have recovered from me Rs.3201.36/- including Rs.1430/- (check altered and collected amount) now I request you to refund me Rs. 3201.36/- by your demand draft drawn on Trivandrum .
( I have paid all the installments of the loan granted to me well before the due dates. And most of the installments you have over looked and debited my account with late fee. This is clear from your statement itself.)
Please verify your statements from January 2007 to February 2008
(12 installments of Rs.3800/- including interest )
The protection plus insurance already cancelled in June 2007 wide my request letter as well as your statement. I also request you to pay back me the amount already remitted by me. ( That also comes nearly Rs.5000/- this also should be send by DD drawn on Trivandrum.)
I request you to do the needful at an early date. I am waitng for your reply.
I will proceed further to the BANK OMBUDSMAN, if your reply is not received as soon as possible.

The following are the usual frauds of your office statements sent to me :
1. Not executing instructions given regarding flexy pay account and demanding full payment of the amount of the bill immediately along with interest for the amount. On contacting your office to ask about that you suggest to pay less the bill amount, Immediately next month you collect processing charges to transfer the amount to flexy pay and claiming and debiting the late fee according to your will and pleasure without any reason. (This started in your credit card account since April 2006).
2. On writing letter to your office regarding late fee, two times you have recredited my account with that ( without any use – In the words of the officer (REFLECTION OF AN OBJECT IN A MIRROR ïƒ NOT AVAILABLE FOR ANY PAYMENT ).
3. Terrorizing by demanding amount, twice of the same amount widrawn using credit card and debiting interest and late fee.
4. Concealing payment made and received by you even before the due date and imposing late fee. Please verify the statements of 2007.
5. Amount of late fee refunded taking back immediately without any reason.
6. Not adjusting any payment from late fee credited back to the card account.
7. Demanding check for closure of the account from Chennai office, Sending your agents to my home to collect the check and altering the check to the will and pleasure of the bank. And presenting for payment and through clearing.( Bank statement already submitted to your Trivandrum office)
I am sorry to say, a BANK like SBI – Being the biggest bank of India which has core banking is behaving like this !!! IT IS SHAME !!!

Mental torture after payment
Hi! This is a totally disgruntled guy here who has suffered a lot after having paid all my dues to the worst credit card company i have come across-sbi cards and the worst set of people working for it. I have cleared my payment in the month of august 2005 and after all these years they send people home asking for a settlement. I hold cards of all major companies for the past 15 years and this has by far been the worst experience in this regard.i would request people to be careful when you are applying for a card from sbi becoz initially they are very sweet to you later they take the life out of you and your family.

Harsh treatment by recovery agency at Andheri MIDC
The Recovery Agency at Andheri MIDC, Mumbai, Ph No. 39805727. Ms. Sunaya Chavhan has been very harsh, rude, arrogant to the customer and other colleagues over the phone. She did not give customer service cell nos. for the disputes that i had to put forward.

Insurane without approval from Customers
I have asked for any insurance with SBI Credit card and neither approved them when a call was made. But they have added two insurances to my card and are forcing me to Pay Rs.4500/- and for past 6 months I am trying to make them understand it is not my fault but now including all late payment and interest charges they are forcing me to pay Rs.8500/-. They have even went to an extent issuing a legal notice.

SBI-GE Fradualent acts - don't agree to pay by cash for settlements
Beware and record all happenings while making the settlements with SBI Credit cards, please don't agree to pay by cash by all means. Due to SBI poor services, i gave the intimation to close the card, but this was never done and no information from them, after few months i received a statement stating i need to pay 11,000/- for a transaction which i never made. On enquiring with sbi customer care i came to know that the card was not blocked and my account was not closed and this transaction had happened due to a theft in my home in which i had lost most valuables of me. as i was not in india at that time, i was unable to file an FIR at that time. On my return, when asked for the settlement amount for the transaction happened without my knowledge, they asked me to pay 20,725/-, then after 2-3 stages of negotiation, i agreed to pay 13615/- only tht transactional charges and its interest, excluding their expensive late payment charges for 6 months. I gave a cheque to them and when asked for the settlement letter, they promised it will be couried to my recorded communication address. But i seldom received any of such letter from SBI, when i tried to contact the SBI credit card officer, who himself claimed as manager to whom i have finalised the settlemnt was speaking as if he never knows me and my case. I then intimated this to [email protected] and other greviance nodal officers in chennai, for which i received no responses from any of those. Then later after 3 months i started receiving harashment calls from SBI collection department, To put a full stop to this issue i asked for the settlement amount for second time, this time also they told outstanding as 21,623/-. But They (Geetha(SBI-Timehouse, Rajaji road, parrys), Sunil (SBI-Timehouse, rajaji road, Parrys), said their bank is fair enough to offer an pre-approved amount of 11,000/- against the settlements, when i requested them to solve the issue legally, so that i could also get a chance to express the harshments and other things happened on behalf of SBI, then finally they asked for an settlement amount of 4,000/- for which i agreed , hoping to solve the problem. Then they asked me to come personally to SBI-Time house only with cash of 4,000/- and informed settlement letter will be given on spot of payment being made. I had a belief of them and went to Time house at 3PM for settling the issue, Geetha showed me the settlement letter in which Sunil, had signed in . then i gave the cash payment, she gave the settlement letter, when i was about to leave , she asked for the settlemnt letter saying she needs to take a photo copy for their evidences, i gave the letter back and she asked me to wait outside her cabin and told she will come in 5 mins. But even after 30 mins she never came, when i asked others, to my shock they told she already left the office at 5 PM. Then i refused to leave their center, and at 7 PM sunil(SBI-GE), came to meet me on my compulsion, he then promised me that this will be solved and i would receive the letter within 24 hrs of time. But this never happened and after that meeting, now today their same harashment calls continued after an sucessful year after that incident. I have all evidences, Including video recorded while sunil was talking to me and more than 30 emails i have written to [email protected], have recorded their promise calls in my mobile, but of no use until and unless i initiate this issue legally, which will happen in shorted time. So beware of SBi while making your final settlements as most of collection agents are well trained culprits. Now today they told i have an outstanding of 21,635/-. I don't know how many times i have to make the settlement for SBI. Get the settlement letter first, mentioning the cheque number and always have the evidence of cheque cleared from your account.

SBI - Staff with MIND!
I was using a SBI Card for about 2 years. I applied for a Balance Transfer for Rs. 8000 to pay my outstanding amount on my HSBC Credit card. But these people sent me cheque favoring Standard Charted Bank with my HSBC Credit Card number. I donot hold Standard Charted Bank Credit Card. Immediately I called up SBI Customer care and clearly explained them the situation. They promised me to cancel the cheque and re-issue a new cheque with correct details. Since then I did not receive any communication from them.
A month later, I started receiving call from Customer Care saying that there is an outstanding amount to be paid on the credit card as the cheque issued to me was cleared, though the cheque is not submitted. I explained her the entire story. As usual she promised me that the amount will be reversed back. But not done. I nearly called more that dozen customer care executives and explained the problem. Everyone said that there is a fault from their side and soon the amount will be reversed. But no action was taken. I even escalated the issue to the [email protected]. Even they did not make proper communications and always sent the same mail. But the query is not answered.
This lasted for about 5-6 months and one day I was really frustrated and canceled the card and did not get any confirmation from the bank. I called them up and confirmed that the card is canceled. But calls from Customer Care regarding the payment did not stop till TODAY...
IF YOU OWN SBI CARD, PLEASE CANCEL IT IMMEDIATELY!!!
THEIR SERVICE IS REALLY WORST AND YOUR QUERIES WILL NEVER BE ANSWERED.

Credit card not received

The SBI customer care executives used to bug me every day to apply for their lifetime free credit card. I had to finally agree, done by their repeated calls.
However, there has been no correspondence from then ever since I had given them my documents. The last time they had called back was during the confirmation call. I have received not even a message from them since then.
It has been over a month and a half since I applied.
