Unauthorized oil deliveries
A couple years ago my husband and I capped in a rate for oil. When that expired in June, I called SCASCO and told them to take me off automatic oil delivery until I was able to cap in a rate a few months later. About 2 weeks later we got oil delivered. We were on a budget paying $200.00 a month. My husband called them, he spoke to Poochieat the time, and they said that we were still on automatic delivery and in order to stop it, they would have to delete our account as if we were never customers at all. She was very snotty and she seemed like she didn't care about customer service at all. Fine...Whatever. We were upset at that point. A week later we received a bill in the mail for the remaing $650.00 left on our budget. We were upset because we just had a baby and with the expenses, how were we going to pay that. We dug into our savings and borrowed money from family and we were able to pay it off. We then switched oil companies. We figured the nightmare was over. A couple months later, my husband comes home to find SCASCO putting oil in our tank. He immediately yelled for him to stop, which he did, but by that point he managed to put in about 90 gallons or so. My husband explained to him that we switched companies and that he shouldn't be here. When I came home I called SCASCO and to my surprise they told me that we were still on automatic delivery. We told the rep that my husband spoke with Poochie and that she had deleted our account. The rep said that there was no evidence of our call at all and to stop automatic delivery, we need to write them a letter. We told them to come take the oil they weren't supposed to deliver and they gave me the BS of unjust enrichment. Oh joy! So I asked how much the bill was for and since I live around the corner from them, I wrote them a letter stating that we never want to get oil delivered again, took a walk and I handed them a check for the amount along with the letter. The rep at the desk was very snotty to me when it wasn't our fault that their systems are so faulty. I am very professional and while I might have been upset, I would have never expected to receive such horrible customer service. I myself am a customer service representative, and while their really was nothing she could do, the least she could have done was apologize for any inconvenience. Then, just to make sure she wasn't an idiot, she had the representative next to her look up my account to make sure that we were finally "on call only". The nightmare finally ended. Their prices maybe competitive, but with the the great price, you get horrible customer service. I have spoken to several people in my community and they would never recommend SCASCO AKA Seymour Energy to anyone they know either.
