False information on advertisement
Ordered and paid via wire transfer for a vehicle specific lambo door kit and air freight for a customer in 19 September 2008. Told goods would be despatched within 48 hours after payment received and I would received kit within 7-10 days after. Goods weren't delivered to Fredericton Post Office until 10 October 2008 and not shipped from Canada for another 11 days via sea freight. I queried whether the goods were sent air or sea freight and was told via air economy and to check with Canada post which I did but, they couldn't confirm. No co-operation whatsoever from Scissor Door 'scontact and despite repeated requests for the contact's identifiication it was never provided. The goods finally arrived in New Zealand on the 31 December 2008 all the while my customer is thinking I'm ripping them off but, with Christmas holidays wasn't received until the 7 January 2009 - 3-1/2 months after ordering and paying for them. Relief quickly turned to dread when the customer spent numerous hours stripping the vehicle to fit the kit to find it was not a vehicle specific, no holes were drilled and it was much too large for a small compact. The kit was promptly returned and I had to refund their money. My company's reputation was damaged completely especially with the time it took to arrive as well. I promptly contacted Scissor doors who refused to admit the kit was not vehicle specific and also refund my money or supply a return number telling me they couldn't accept a return after 7 days!!! They also remarked they don't have holes drilled in the hinges because the vehicle could have them in different places. If that's the case their kits are not vehicle specific. As per another person's complaint against this company Scissor Doors I also repeat the same complaints. They do not return calls, emails and you can never get through on the telephone - always answered with the message they are busy on other calls etc. I also requested an invoice, was told there would be one in with the kit but, they would fax a copy to me. Despite repeatedly supply my fax number the invoice never came and there also wasn't one in with the kit. My company is stuck with funds tied up in a hinge kit that I don't require nor know what it will fit - not to mention our professional reputation. Something should be done to stop these people or Matthew Wheelhouse (who is the listed owner of the company) falsely advertising, selling goods that aren't what they say they are and ripping people off. They are totally a disreputable organisation
