Scott Lowery Law Firm contacted me yesterday 6/3/10 and so I called them back wondering why a law office was contacting me. I explained my situation (I am close to homeless and I have nothing but the clothes on my back.) Anyways they told me that I needed to gather up my resources and start making phone calls to come up with the money and told me to call my dad (which has no money to help and I explained to her that this was not an option as I am "an orphan child" I basically gave her a brief rundown on my history which I told her that I wasn't comfortable having to explain why I can't get my family or friends to come up with the money I owe B of A. I told her that I didn't have anyone to call and she said well then I will note that you are unwilling to gather up the resources and unwilling to comply with our attempts and refusing to pay the amount owed and when I tried to explain that I wasn't unwilling I am just unable to pay now, as I call someone's couch my home well of course that didn't stop her and she started to get agitated and said that I need to stop raising my voice and talking rudely to her...? I was crying and all I said was that I wasn't unwilling I was not able and I had to speak louder because she wouldn't quit droning on about me immediately needing to contact family (The ones I don't have or loved ones and gather up some money, after numerous attempts to try and explain to her that I have no one. )She told me also that my credit was good and so that wasn't a good thing for me because they are aware that I was able to pay bills in the past...Well yeah but since I got layed off due to the economy I can't now. Then she went on to tell me about another supposed outstanding bill from cox in the amount of $64 which I don't even know what she is talking about but I don't think she is suppose to share that info! I don't know what to do and I don't want to be sewed for something that is out of my control. I need help and Thx...I have no proof of anything this was just a random call and they left a message with their name and phone #.
