Hired Scott's (National Lawn Care Company), in April 2010. I just had a new yard put in March 21, 2010. They came out to treat for ticks and sprayed our yard in April 2010. They then came back on May 12, 2010 and sprayed Insectidice again along with fertilizer and weed killer. Now my yard was the best it had looked in a while. Certainly did not require all three treatments in one. The treatment burnt 3/4 of my yard up. I waited two weeks as they instructed before I started calling. I continued to leave messages for the Branch Manager and General Manager with no response. FInally during one of my calls the Manager names PJ annswered. I explained that the chemicals needed to be reversed. This was Friday and he assured me he would be here on the follwing Monday. He never showed so I left another message. I then called again on late Tuesday afternoon and again he ansered his extension. He assured me the yard would be treated for reversal of the chemical. A service tech came out and finally applied the potash. It can take up to 2 weeks to see improvement. Would you believe that a tech came to my house again the following Monday and sprayed yet more weed killer and insecticide on my already burnt yard. This was two weeks since the intital application that destroyed my yard. Oh did I mention he left a $90 bill for me to pay. I am waiting to see if this last treatment does not finish off my new $5, 000 yard ( 21 pallets of sod).
During the time I have contacted the local Fort Myers Branch they have been unresponsive at best.
Yesterday I called the corporate office (National #) to be told they would have the General Manager call me which turned out to be the Branch Manager. Well he called me yesterday and we decided on a midmorning appointment (no he could not give me an exact time) so I asked that he call me 30 minuted in advance and confirmed he had my phone number. Well he shows up today, did not call me, my daughter asked him about the phone call when he arrived and he said he would call me when he finished. He never called, I again called the corporate office and they had him call me. After the initial, "you did not do what we agreed to" statement. He basically said that was not what he said as far as the somewhat appointment he made. Then he told me my yard was not over chemically treated it has a gray fungus and web worms. Over the whole yard? Because they over treated? Should they not have treated for fungus and what about all these insecticide treatments. Personally can' t see why I should have anything. However Mr. Clint Hardle took no ownership or blame and further blamed the appearance on this fungus. He explained he took pictures, great so did I. He wants to keep managing my yard until the end of July 2010. I don't think so. I could have done a better job and have. I had a beautiful green yard and now it is brown dead and evidently full of fugus from all the stress.
Also my neighbor heard him on his cell phone telling someone a picture is worth a thousand words, very unprofessional. But I do agree with the picture and I called other lawn companies for statements regarding the state of my yard. I was told I would have a guaranteed replacement if they destroyed my yard. Of course they are not standing behind this. I have no confidence in Scott's knowledge or expperience therefore I fired them and I will not be paying their bill.
I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THESE PEOPLE TO ANYONE UNLESS YOU LIKE TO PAY FOR A NON PREMIUM SERVICE. SEE PICS
