BEWARE!!! of Balmoral Energy Training - BALMORAL TRAINING - ENERGY ASSESSMENT TRAINING I would strongly discourage anyone from using this 'company'. I booked the course back in November and was due to go to the course on 6, 7 and 8th January, paying a deposit of £249. However, on the evening before the course was due to start, I received a TEXT MESSAGE(!) from Chris (BALMORAL TRAINING) to say that the course had been cancelled as the trainer had called in sick. Immediately, alarm bells started to ring which proved to be justified. I called them back that evening and was advised they were trying to sort out new course dates and promised I would be called between 9am and 10am the next morning. This call never materialised so I called them back that evening and told them I wasn't happy with their attitude and that I would like to be reimbursed my £249 deposit. I was assured it would be posted out by way of cheque that night (7th January). By Monday 12th January, there was still no cheque so I contacted them again and was told that the cheque had been posted that morning.Wednesday 14th - still no cheque so called back and they told me to receive speedy reimbursement, I could give them card details and the cash would be put straight in to my account and they'd call me when it was done. By this point I was fuming but gave the details of an account I don't use and that theres never any money in to see if they would give me my cash back... This was a silly presumption as its now Saturday 17th January, still no money and no phone call.They use an address in Bath Street, Glasgow, but BEWARE, this is only a postal address for cheques to be sent to. There are no staff at this address.I am now reporting them to Police and Trading Standards and going to Citizens advice to find out what else I can do.If you are going to do this type of training please do not use this 'company'. They claim to provide City and Guilds training (and thats why I thought they were legitimate) but a company who are ABBE Registered and display the logo are a much safer bet.
