Do not use ANY scrapbooking supplies with photos. No matter the brand and the cost from expensive to cheap. These inks, pens, adhesives especially will ruin any photos they are used on the same page with.
I made the mistake of starting scrapbooking from a co-worker (turns out her church is a major supplier of scrapbooking supplies by various dealers nationwide) and the supplies ruined about 200 of my photos that I only had one copy of dating back to 1970s to the 90s since I used a SLR camera at that time.
I had to scan these photos in a digital format; however, some imperfections still show where the inks, adhesives etc. degraded the photos. If you will look at my photos attached you will see both white and black spots where the photos are starting to degrade (these are the 'better' photos).
Only use digital format if you wish to save your photos. Any graphics and/or backgrounds you desire can be added digitally.
