damaged carpet
I hired Seabreeze based on a Coupon I received in the mail - biggest mistake ever! They "cleaned" about 2000 square feet of carpet in the new home I had just purchased. I did not realize anything was wrong until the next day, when I realized that the carpets were still very wet. I called the company to ask for assistance, since the carpets were clearly not drying properly. They said someone would be out that evening to look. That person never came, and when I called again that evening, I was told nothing could be done that night. My husband and I were forced to buy 10 large fans that night to dry out the carpet, since the carpet cleaning company was obviously not going to help. After the carpets began to dry, we noticed an oily substance on some carpets, and NEW large yellow stains throughout the house. The company finally sent someone out the next day - 48 hours after the initial cleaning. This person stated that the pH was off in the cleaning solution, causing the stains. I was able to speak to the manager that day, who stated that the truck was also malfunctioning - causing too much water to be left in the carpets. Despite this, he refused to refund my money. He offered to have the carpets cleaned again, but I did not want the company touching my carpets again. It took 3 full days for the carpets to feel dry to the touch - meaning even longer for the pad to dry out. I now have to have the carpets re-cleaned, the new stains treated, and possibly have to treat for mold and mildew. The lack of response to the problem when I first reported it, and then the refusal to refund my money even though it will cost me more to repair the damage is my main complaint. I also would like to save other customers from this unethical company, that has no problem ruining your carpet and has a complete disregard for the customer's satisfaction.
