Customer Records Retention
My husband and I purchased out entire bedroom set from this family owned and runned furniture store, they had a good reputation and came recommended to us from several friends and family, and in turn we recommended them to others! Of course because I wanted one of the most expensive sets we had to finance piece by piece and when our balance was low we would add another, all in all over $5, 000 in bedroom furniture! So of course with this purchase was a king size mattress and box spring set (1st purchase) made by sealy, purchased in mid 2002 (yes 7 years ago) for the past 2 years we have been dealing with sagging sides and a big lump in the middle of the bed! So today I finally called the Warehouse outlet to see if they could send me any record of my mattress purchase so I could contact the manufacturer for a replacement or partial credit as they offer 10 yr full replacement warranty, to now avail the place we purchased all of this from doesnt keep records back that far!! WOW astonishing, I know businesses that keep records for 10, 15 + years! So without a receipt I am screwed basically out of the $1100 spent on the mattress set alone and a bad back to go with it. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM A PERSONALLY OWNED BUSINESS FOR THIS AGAIN!! My mother bought her from rooms to go the same month and when she called last week they had her file pulled it up faxed it to her and now sealy is coming to her home to take a look at their mattress and replace it!! SO WITH THAT SAID small time companies ARENT always the best!! They come to bite you in your ass when you need help and dont have the funds to buy a new mattress!! All I got was SORRY from the lady on the other end...
