RUN AROUND FROM SEARS
On
Jan 02 2007, I purchased a SEARS Kenmore OASIS Washer Model #
110.27072602 Ser # CT 4971637. About two months ago, I started
experiencing problems with my washer. Within seconds of starting the
washer, it stopped and code "F1" flashed on the screen. Since then,
EVERY time I start the washer, it stops and I get F1 code. It takes
anywhere from 3-15 times to get it started... by stopping and starting
repeatedly. Additionally, it frequently stops again at the RINSE cycle
and I have to go thru the same process to get it going again. It is
time consuming and frustrating. Shortly after this occurred, about 6
weeks ago I contacted the Rework line and was told by the Customer
Service that this problem was noted and that there was going to be
"recall" or Flash . She was very nice and advised me that in 2-3 weeks
I would be receiving a notification card in the mail regarding the
problem an dat that time I could call the service number for free
repair. Well, it has now been 6 weeks and I still have not received the
card. So today I called the rework number and this time was told it was
NOT under recall or flash repair!!! and it was never going to be. I was
told that the information I had previously received was FALSE and that
my only option was to schedule and pay for repair. Based on similar
complaints I noted on line, this repair can cost up to $500.00 and it
still may reoccur!!! This is unsatisfactory. I paid over $1000.00 for
his applinace less than 2 years ago. To be told I will have to pay
$500.00 for repair is maddening. I have been a long time customer of
SEARS and I am not happy with the service I am receiving on this issue.
The problem with the machine is not related to any type of abuse or
misuse. Based on all the complaints I have seen on the internet, this
is clearly a manufacture or design problem that SEARS should acknowledge
and fix.

It's a LEMON
I purchased a front-load washer from Sears/Kenmore 2 years ago. Since then it has been repaired at least 4 times. Each time the repair man says it's due to one of the following reasons:
1.There is too much moisture. (It's located in a cement floored, block walled basement not 15 feet from 3 computers) *It's a WASHER...it's full of water and SHOULD deal with moisture??? The basement doesn't flood, and the walls don't have condensation.
2. You have a well. (If these washers can't operate from a well/pump system, there should be a "Do not purchase if you have a well" warning.)
3. There is too much condensation because it's located next to a dryer. (DUH...washers are always next to dryers..right?) It's still a washer. It should be able to handle water/condensation????
4. Too much moisture because I have been using cold water. It's a washer...it has 2 different cold water settings. If it can't handle cold water...It shouldn't have cold water settings..right?
I'm sick of having a repair man tell me that this washing machine has issues with MOISTURE. Each time it quits, I have to use the laundramat for at least 2 weeks to a month while I wait for a convenient time for THEM to come. I have to give up a total day because the time given is so vague. I am the one blamed for this machines faults.
It's a WASHER. It is filled with water and should be able to handle moisture. It's a total design flaw.

Washer lasted 2.5 years
I bought a washer and dryer - Sears Kenmore that was replaced by a Sears Kenmore - we bought this on 10/31/2005 - my washer was not working and I had a service company come out to look at it only to find that the washer motor and pump is gone - needs replacement - I'm a little confused why someone could buy a good name washer and have it last 2.5 years - I am getting that its out of warranty and that is it - are you kidding me - I spoke to about 10 people from Sears, complaint line amount others only to tell me to just purchase a new one - what happen to the days when you could buy a washer and have it last awhile.

refrigerator
As of today we are still waiting for our sixth visit from a Sears Technician to fix our Kenmore refrigerator. We have been without our refrigerator for six weeks. The customer service center is obtuse. They don't communicate very well, nor do they seem to have any record of your call history. They do not give you a call center number to refer to your case and you cannot speak to a manager about coordinating the service call. They can only set up an appointment. The technicians are also obtuse and are not properly trained. The technician, I'll call him technician number 2, after visit number 4 said honestly, he did not know how to fix the refrigerator and he would send out another more experienced technician to our home the next day. After he assured me that the appointment was all set, technician number 3 reporting for service call number 5 failed to call or show up. I guess they didn't train in appointment scheduling either but I digress it all started with Technican number 1 on visit number 1 apparently he could not fix the refrigerator and blew out the "board" . He subsequently quit the following day. Sending in technician number 2 for visits 2 and 3 didn't fair up much better. Oh did I fail to mention that visit 3 was as a result of my being on the phone with my bank when good ole' customer service called to make sure I was home when they called on their 800 number I did not take the call that second. Good ole' customer service left a message I called within minutes but, alas, they said I missed the appointment. They would try to locate the dispatch but to no avail. When I asked in what country the service center was located, they refused to tell me for security reasons. So that is why visit 3 was scheduled. Service call 3 and 4 was a disaster even after having every refrigerator part known to man waiting in my hallway from various UPS shipments (they deliver the parts fine) my refrigerator was still not fixed. Visit 5 was a no show so now I am on the 8 to 5 gamble that visit 6 will fix it just one more time. It is a total crap shoot at this point. At this point I will drive the fridge to Sears and set it on fire. Maybe we will get some attention!
