terrible service

I've had this card for 11 years. Always paid on time. One day I'm trying to buy some medicine for my kid at the drug store and the card doesn't work. I call them. They say I have 31 dollars that's five days past due. I say, fine, but this is a CREDIT CARD. Let me buy the medicine and then I'll send what's due plus interest. They say no. Supervisor not available. I say fine. I go home, get another credit card. Buy the medicine, and cancel my sears card for good. What total morons. They lost my business for the rest of my life because of 31 dollars. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CARD!

POOR SERVICE FOR GOOD CUSTOMERS

I HAVE HAD MY SEARS MASTERCARD FOR TWENTY YEARS AND HAVE NEVER BEEN LATE AND HAVE NEVER MISSED A PAYMENT. MY INTEREST RATE WENT FROM 14%TO 24% JUST BECAUSE SEARS / CITIBANK DECIDED TO RAISE ALL OF THE RATES EFFECTIVE MARCH 1, 2009. NEVER RECEIVED ANY LETTER ABOUT THIS AND CANNOT GET THEM TO REEVALUATE MY ACCOUNT. I WAS TOLD THAT SINCE I AM A GOOD CUSTOMER WITH STELLAR CREDIT HISTORY, I CANNOT BE CONSIDERED FOR ANY RATE REDUCTION. THE ONLY WAY I CAN BE GIVEN A LOWER INTEREST RATE, WOULD BE TO DEFAULT ON MY PAYMENTS AND GO INTO COLLECTIONS. IS THIS ABSURD OR WHAT?? THEY WANT YOUR MONEY AND DON'T CARE WHERE OR HOW THEY GET IT. BEWARE OF WHAT THEY MAY TRY TO PULL IN THE MONTHS AHEAD BEFORE NEW LEGISLATION GOES INTO AFFECT.
