Holding Funds
Because I maintain a household with 3 adult renters, my need for appliances becomes critical because failures affect 4 individuals at once. Getting a 3rd renter necessitated a small refrigerator purchase, then the washer went out. I attempted to buy the frigerator online from the Sears Outlet website but my order was hampered when the online purchase was canceled. After receiving no order confirmations (via email) after 10 or 15 mins, I started to panic. I checked my bank and verified a funds hold, for the purchase amount, was indeed in place. Later (while searching for a washer) I got a phone call stating my refrigerator order was cancelled because that particular item had already been sold. "They thought they had the item but didn't." Huh!?! How does Sears Outlet sell something that has already been sold!?! Aren't inventories updated at point of purchase? If not, then why not! By direct register sale or by the sales person, online - At the The Time of Purchase? aaugh . . . Anyways, because of the "canceled" status of my 1st purchase, I thought (mistakenly) my funds would be released soon and to proceed with my 2nd purchase, the washer. 1.5hrs later, with the 2nd purchase completed, I still have no release of funds from the 1st purchase). Next day, today! Funds from 1st order still being held. Order history verifies 2nd purchase has completed but now, too is cancelled. A call to cust svcs 877#, where I had to "insist" on speaking to a supervisor because the initial female rep got out of line. He advised me he could not provide a "Release of Funds" ltr to my bank to preempt the estimated 2 week hold on my funds. All of this for trying to purchase of an item "That Wasn't Even There!!" Hhmmm, makes me wonder if this doesn'tborder on the fringes of some sort of crime. And to think, I used to love my purchase experiences with Sears Outlet, (of which I have made a few & recommended a few more!).
Next Step - a written letter to corp.
This experience practically guarentees that Sears Outlet will no longer be an option for this household. Nevertheless, I wanna thank Sears Outlet . . . for treating me like a valued customer. . . taking my money, giving me nothing in return, not the item I ordered, not a letter to release funds, not a refund, not even a credit towards another purchase. thank you . . .

denied option to use debit card as credit purchase.
in purchasing a new oven for my home, Sears denied the acceptance of my debit card being used as a credit purchase. I then gave them my credit card and it would "not accept card type". I was forced to use my debit card as a debit purchase and use my private pin number in public which I did not feel comfortable doing.

ABUED OF POWER
I'M WRITING TO LET SEARS CORPORATION THAT IN THIS PARTICULAR STORE IS BEING USE AN ABUSIVE CONDUCT TOWARDS THE EMPLOYEES FROM A PARTICULAR SUPERVISOR. I THINK THAT BEEN ONE OF THE BIGGEST CORPORATION IN THE UNITED STATES THIS SHOULD BE SOLVED AS SOON AS POSIBLE. THE SUPERVISOR USES BAD WORDS ARROGANT MANNER, MISUSED OF POWER, TALKS TO PEOPLE AS IF THEY WERE LITTLE KIDS, TAKES HER PERSONAL SITUATION TO THE JOB SITE AND TREATS EMPLOYEES LIKE SHE'S THE BOSS AND THEY HAVE TO DO WHATEVER SHE WANTS.

I THINK PEOPLE ARE NOT SLAVES AND ALSO SHE DOESN'T RESPECT ANYONE WHO'S UNDER HER MANAGEMENT. THIS SHOULD BE TAKEN IN CONSIDERATION DO TO THE FACT THAT THESE ARE HARD WORKING EMPLOYEES AND THEY DESERVE TO BE TREATED BETTER.

Dear Ms. Ferguson

This past Sunday, April 18, 2010, I visited your store for the first time. Sears Outlet was recommended to me as a good source of slightly damaged appliances that I could purchase for reasonable prices. Sure enough, I found a refrigerator which I photographed with my iPhone and arranged to have delivered today, between 4:15 and 6:00 PM.

This morning, around 7:00 AM, a delivery person from the store called. He wanted to be sure he had the correct refrigerator. What he described to me was clearly not the refrigerator I purchased on Sunday, of which I enclose photographs. Among his questions and statements were, “This really should not be sold to anyone, ” and “Are you aware of the 8 inch gash in front?” and “It’s missing a number of shelves and has no ice maker, ” along with more that clearly indicated the refrigerator he was looking at is not the one you see in these photographs taken Sunday on your warehouse floor: no missing shelves; a slight scratch on the left front, a functioning ice maker, and some minor denting on the side.

As a teacher, I had to schedule a substitute for my afternoon classes today. Now I must spend that time buying a refrigerator from an honest source: one who will deliver what I purchase. I am deeply disappointed in Sears, and I have posted reviews on YELP! and Kudzu that reflect my awful experience in hopes that others won’t have to go through what I have.

Double Oven just brought - does not work
We brought a 3, 000 double oven from the Sears Outlet, Sears came and installed it. The oven doesn't work and we call the customer warranty line and no one can help, they have hung up on us several times, we have been on the phone for several hours no help. We paid 300.00 for Sears to install the oven plus delivery fees and haul away cost. Now we have no oven and no one to help us get our money back

Refrigerator
I purchased a "reconditioned" side by side after being reassured that it had been inspected and certified as 100% working. I was trying to decide between a new refrigerator and this one, the sales person assured me that it was no risk to purchase the reconditioned one because if anything went wrong, I would have a Food Reimbursement Guarantee. The unit was delivered on a Wednesday and NEVER worked. Sears finally sent a repairman out on Friday and he said the unit's system was restricted and had been tapped. It shot oil out as he examined it. I returned the unit on Saturday and it took 3 WEEKS for them to credit my debit card. Customer Service at the store is HORRIBLE. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! They are refusing to reimburse for the Food Loss. I had to go to the District Manager to be reimbursed the delivery fee.

i and my wife went to this store to buy an electrolux 27 inch wall oven wave touch tm controls item 022228103000ew27ew55gs on520 o9 was told it would be there in i week. went back in 4 days and got no help or responce after waiting 45 minutes waiting and was told that it was not ther yet, we returned countless times and got the same lack of respect buy the darrel guy and a nother lady, and was told that i would be contacted apon arival. it has now been 6 weeks and still iget the same lack of respect when i or my wife when i go there, i would think that by now with the current econinic times that your store could come up with a little bit of courtesyand at least make some effort to get what i want to buy. if not i can certainly buy one elsewere there by getting what i need elseware and not considering doing any more business with sears, a long with all the other people i know who can not beleive the way you have treated us after all the other business i have done with you in the past. sorry it has came to this and i hope this can be worked out. the sale price was 999.99 and i do hope we can do something better to make up for this hassle, thank you, paul peterson 10117 zackery avenue charlotte nc 28277 cell 704-307-0918 or home 704 341 00215
