I'm not happy with Sears at all
I was scheduled to have the lawn tracker delivered on 4/27/08 between 2:15 - 4:15. The automated system confirmed the time and the date twice before the date. Nobody showed up on the day until 4:30PM and then I called 800-732-7747 to find out the status and the rep told me that it's been delayed because of some manufacturing delay.
What the ***? So, if I've not called, I'd be still waiting. I'm a very busy professional and I cancelled all my appointments between 1-5PM for the delivery. Who is going to pay for my loss? I feel like just cancelling the order and go somewhere else. I'll recommend all my friends NOT to go for Sears in the lifetime. As you can tell, I'm NOT happy with Sears at all.

Their delivery service is worst ever
We ordered a washer dryer and dishwasher. Keep in mind we have to work to be here for delivery. First delivery show up 2 hours late and dryer is vented incorrectly so they have to send it back for correction. Called center to arrange redelivery of correct unit and he tells me they will have to refund me and I will have to go to sears and repurchase entire order. Oh yeah the dishwasher didn't show up with the delivery either. So after talking with supervisor this is corrected but what a *** of a customer service rep in the first place to tell me that. So we another day for redelivery and still no dishwasher. Washer dryer ok and installed. another day for dishwasher but it has a dent. They will redeliver. another day for delivery and now there it sits in our garage. Have yet to get an appointment for installation from sears though we have already paid them for such. What a joke. Will never ever ever buy from them again.

On sale again but out of stock still
Sears will never earn my business again. I have had problems before but this is it. I cancelled my Sears card sometime ago due to a bad experience. I placed an order online for the Bowflex #14689 on 4-16-08. On 4-23-08 I had not received any confirmation so I called customer service. They told me my order had been cancelled (nice to know). Due to the product was unavailable. I get online and you once again have the same model on sale for a different price. How can you advertise something you don't even have? Thanks again for the great service. Someone else will love my business.

Repair services
The pilot light on my propane water heater goes out. I was told yesterday a repair man would contact me today but the day is gone! I called them again, got hung up on twice and still unable to get a repairman to fix it. I think my "Kenmore" days are over. But I will keep trying until I succeed either with one of their people or by an independent. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I called one number on the web and it asked for my house 3 digit no. One person I spoke with didn’t speak English well enough to understand and the other human I spoke with gave me a number to call with which I got hung up on again!!!

REPAIR SERVICE
Sears is about to lose our repair business, our extended warranty business, and our purchase of appliances, because of the shockingly bad customer service that has cost us so much time and frustration.
I have made six telephone calls and my husband has made two just to get an appointment to get our under-warranty washer fixed. I first called to schedule a non-covered dishwasher to be fixed in the same time block as the washer. I was told that this could not be done because one was under warranty and the other was not. The dishwasher repair was scheduled and I was transferred to someone to schedule the washing machine.
The representative who answered insisted that the washer was NOT under warranty. I suspected that he was talking about a machine I gave away more than two years ago, not the one that my husband bought under the customer number he had before we were married, the model and serial number - and he still insisted it was not under warranty. He also refused to make the appointment for the same time block as the dishwasher.
Next, my husband called about the warranty on the washer; he had paid for the extended agreement and had just confirmed it on his end. He was told to have me cancel the appointments, and reschedule both, to avoid future billing problems because of the warranty. I did this.
But the next guy ALSO insisted that the washer was not under warranty. I gave him the customer number, the washer model and serial number, and our home phone number, but he evidently didn't even bother to look them up. He just kept insisting that we were not under warranty. I rescheduled. Once again, my husband was told that we ARE under warranty on the washer, and he was told to cancel the existing appointments and reschedule or we would have billing problems.
I finally got through to a woman representative who finally agreed to look at the customer number, phone number (we have more than one), and washer model and serial numbers and determined that yes, we ARE under warranty. She confirmed that the original appointments were for the washer I gave away more than two years ago - exactly what I had tried so hard to explain to the two previous representatives. She made an appointment for both the washer (under warranty) and rescheduled the dishwasher repair, so that they would be in the same time block. (Why couldn't the first representative done that?)
The representative then agreed to transfer me to a supervisor so that I could complain about how the other two appointment attempts had been handled; the phone rang and rang and was never answered, and there was no voicemail.
Today, the dishwasher guy showed up. The washer repair guy never did. When I called, I was told that the service had never been ordered. I tried to make a complaint to the supervisor. I was put on hold for more than five minutes, and was then told that the supervisor was in a meeting. I asked for an address to write a written complaint. The representative refused and gave me an 800 number to call for the address. It was the wrong number; it was for business accounts. They transferred me to a second number, which responded that they were also the wrong number. The second wrong number declined to give me the correct number, claiming that they didn't know it because it was on auto-dial. It was a dead number. I called back. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that I would be called back. That never happened.
The washer is still not fixed. I think it likely that a court would find that Sears has failed to fulfill the extended warranty contract because it has failed to schedule service - in fact, has made such service essentially impossible. It is striking that it will seem so much easier to explain this to a judge than to a Sears representative.

Bad water heater sales service
Some how, sears Kenmore service is claiming we ordered the wrong water heater for $410 model 33956. How am I to know? Sears should be the expert, all I was asked was height and diameter, then the order was placed and my card was charged. Then the service guy came home and told me it was the wrong water heater model. The correct model should have been for 33205 power vent water heater $710. Apparently, there is a difference, some thing related to the venting coming out to the side. We had to pay $45 for today’s (April 21, 2008) trip and there will be two charges on the credit card, along with two receipts of purchases issues over standard mail. We need to check that the proper credit is applied on the card. There is also an extra charge for $75 replacement for the water valve on top which will be paid during the installation time. So, we are waiting for a call from sears to re-schedule the appointment. If they can get to it, it will be tomorrow April 22, 2008.
My question is why I should pay for $45 trip charge. When the sales person did not do HIS job. I asked, is there anything else needed? Any other information? How do we ensure it is the correct heater? Person said: "no worries I got you covered".

Master Protection Agreement
Sears Master Protection Agreement has become a very bad joke. I have been a loyal customer since 2003, covering multiple appliances all purchased from Sears. Since 2006 the "service" has become progressively worse, and the courtesy of the "service representatives" no longer exists.
Their telephone reps are rude, uninformed and even abusive. They now require over a week to schedule an appointment to repair a non-functioning appliance, which then requires a follow up appointment over a week beyond that, since the service technician did not get accurate information from the "service" rep prior to making the first call.
So long Sears!! It's no wonder that your business is failing.

They're a big rip off
Went to Sears and bought a surround sound system. It was late and they reactivated an old card of mine. Tried to change the address but they told me to call a number when I got home and do that. I forgot but about a month later called. I was told I didn't have an account there, asked about my husbands and was told they couldn't talk to me about that one. I said even to verify the address - NOPE. Decided to wait for a bill. Bill never came and I forgot about the whole thing. Got a collection agency letter in the mail - Sears NEVER contacted me - NEVER tried to - but turned me over to a collection agency after they racked up like 6 months of interest so wrote off some astronomical amount. I called Sears they couldn't speak to me about this matter (their Customer Service is something to be desired) not even to verify what it was for or anything. Of course we settled with the collection agency IMMEDIATELY because we would have paid our bill if we could just have gotten it in the first place. HOWEVER it is on my credit report as a write off. So a person with perfectly good credit gets a black mark because some company has shady customer service. I've sent a letter to them and now to Citibank with no response (Citibank has taken over their charges I guess). I will not be shopping at Sears anymore and I would recommend that you not charge anything there if you shop there.
A very unhappy person with GREAT credit until this

terrible service
just had to deal with sears in home service and try to deal with problems on phone. we have a frontload washer that we broke the latch on, called them up told them what was wrong gave them washer number etc. the service tech got here aftere 4 days, doesn't have the part i say so what you come for. He said thats how sears does it(side note everyone i talked to on the phone at sears says the same thing). first the tech comes in three to four days, then they order the part that can take from 4 to 10 days then you need to reschedule a tech to put it in, in 3 to 4 days s. basically it will take you from 10 to 20 days to get your machine fixed. the customer service people on the phone are rude and stupid very few can be of any help. My wife loves sears products i will do all i can to never buy from them again. If you are from sears reading this, especially if your a ceo or someone important.
YOUR COMPANY SUCKS AND I HOPE FAILS.
