Warranty scam!
I purchased a ge washer from sears with a 5 year warranty. It broke 6 months later took the 3 weeks to repair. it then broke 7 weeks later, technician came out and said we must have abused the washer, it will cost me $2500 to fix it!!?? this when there is a 5 year warranty! Bottom line if you need a major repair they will just void the contract with some kind of bogus lie! Spent hrs on the phone, final judgment voided contract! sears salesman can't believe it, never in 16 years has he seen an abuse claim on a washer. Sears must be getting desperate to save money!
Will be contacting my attorney, there is no way they are getting away with screwing me over.

Poor quality product!
I bought 4 gasmatic shocks for my vehicle, we installed them ourselves, 3 were good and one leaked. I took this shock back within the warranty agreement, which is 5 years or 60,000 miles, the shock was only on the vehicle for 3 months. I was told they did not have any in stock, the manager called all the Sears stores and no one had them in stock. He said he would order one which would take about 5 to 7 days, how could we drive this car with 3 shocks. When I asked if he could upgrade to the next level up, he told me no with an attitude, he also told me I live in Brunswick, so go to Autozone and buy 4 shocks and bring ours back. I was shocked to hear a manager talk to a customer in this tone. The manager of the Westfield Mall in Strongsville Ohio, his name was Rick, he would not give me his last name.
I really thought Sears would like to satisfy there customers,, guess not. We will not shop there again.

Customer service is terrible!
I have a 5 moth old frontload washer that would not drain the water nor spin, I bought the Sears Insurance Policy. I called them to come over and fx it, the told me it would take 2 weeks before they come and take a look at it! I argued with the representative that two weeks is to long for me not to have my washer. He said there was nothing he can do, I then told them to let me speak to the manager, he said there was no one else I can speak to. NO ONE ELSE TO SPEAK to? There is always a Manager or Supervisor I can speak to, he apologized and said again " no one else to speak to but him." SO NOW I have to wait two weeks for them to come see my Washer!!

Non-refundable delivery policy
We bought an expensive "new but slightly dented" Kenmore washer at an appliance outlet. (We now think that the washer had been returned previously.)The delivery men did not level it or follow installation instructions. We had to do everything. The washer would not drain during the 1st & only time that we used it. A service code kept flashing & the machine kept beeping. We called the service number in the late evening and someone with a poor command of English yelled at us and said that we should instead call the store the next day. She could not tell us what the code meant, how to stop the beeping, or how to get it to unlock. We told the store to haul it away after spending much of the night hand rinsing and wringing out the clothes, after we finally managed to get it to unlock. We are still being charged the $60 plus tax delivery charge because it is "non-refundable." Efforts to get this resolved through customer service have been unsuccessful. We had been Sears credit card customers for 39 years. Not any longer.

Delivery is free because it takes two weeks!
I ordered a washer and dryer from sears about two weeks ago and still i am sitting here w/only a washer... the first problem they had was they said that the dryer got banged up so they were getting another one this was on a tuesday they said it would be the next tuesday before we got a new one. Well the next tuesday rolls around and they told us it would be friday before they could get it over here. I'm just SO sick and tired of Sears and this is the first appliances i ever got from there it'll also be the last!!!

Poor service!
Been dealing with Sears and our problem(dishwasher w/ extended warranty... joke!) for 8 months now! Endless hours on the phone... mostly on HOLD... because when they promise to come "right back"... well, 52 minutes later..you're still waiting! My husband has actually called from his cell WHILE still on hold on our land line! Talked to countless one-name operators... no one has a last name or employee ID#... and there is NEVER EVER a supervisor there, no matter what time of day you call. And, yes, we've talked to Source One...the CIA of customer relation clearing houses... I think I'd like a job as a Sears customer relations person... it'd be a breeze: just pretend like you're taking all their information, act like you're going to get "someone" to help, ask them to hold and you'll "be right back", and then go get in your car and go to Starbucks for a latte or go to the local theater and take in a movie... you get the idea. Just remember the old saying, folks: "Say something good, 10 people will hear you. Say something bad, 10,000 people will hear you." So Listen up CONSUMERS!! Beware!

Customer Service/Delivery
On 08/10/07 Purchased a Free Standing Gas Range, Microhood and oven, and 4 cycle dishwasher from Sears Willowbrook. NJ Price was over 3,100.00.
Items were replacements for old Sears Products.
Have purchased all appliances from sears for over 40 years.
Delivery set for 08/24. Received 3 calls from Sears Delivery prior to 08/24 to assure that some one would be home to receive delivery.
Called 1-800-732-7747 on 08/23 at 6 pm to confirm delivery. Received call from Sears delivery at 7:19 pm indicating that delivery would be on 08/24 between 2 and 4 pm.
Had old appliances removed. Additional stair rails removed from entrance hall. Old appliances placed out in disposal area for garbage pick up.
On 08/24 Garbage pick up at 7:30 am. At 8:45 Sears Delivery called and said they could not make delivery applicances did not come in on the morning truck.
Stove would not be delivered until September 9th
Micohood would not be delivered until August 29 and Dishwasher would not be delivered until August 25.
Called Sears Willowbrook Store. Appliance Dept spoke to Omar. He said the only person that could help me was Rob the individual that sold me the units and he would not be in today.
Asked for customer service dept. Guess what. Sears stores do not have customer service. Each deparment has that responsibility. Asked for individaul in Appliances that takes care of customer service. He said I had to speak to Rob. I told him Rob would not be in today. He said that's right.
Since I was getting nowhere I terminated the call.
I Called Sears Holding Corp, Hoffman Estates, IL and asked for Mr. Aylwin B. Lewis office. He is CEO of Sears Holding Corp.
Spoke to Thiffany who said she was an Executive Officer of the Company.
Her responses were worst than Omar's. She said she could do absolutely nothing to assist me.
At 11:30 Mail delivery my Visa Card Bill came in and all of the Sears Charges of 08/10 were listed for payment. But no delivery.
Went back to store and cancelled all items ordered.

Fraud and cheating!
I ordered a riding lawnmower and accessories on line from Sears to the tune of $2200. Got the order confirmation, and an e-mail saying I would be contacted to set up delivery. Several days go by and I don't hear anything so I log back in and it shows my order canceled.
I call customer service and they say yes, it was canceled but they don't know why. Account services say my credit card was good but no reason is given for the cancellation. They make no attempt to figure it out or make it good.
I send an e-mail to Sears alerting them that there process is broken. I get a reply saying they looked into it and don't know why it was canceled, but if I would call account services they would look into it. I replied that if they couldn't get the answer, I'm sure I couldn't. Bought a John Deere and had a much better experience and got a better mower.
What a bunch of morons. No wonder Sears is going down the tubes.

Poor service!
Our Kenmore front load washer stopped washing and spinning. It works great as long as there are no clothes in it. The repairman came yesterday as scheduled and changed the speed control board. I asked him how he came up with his diagnosis, (like what meter or other testing tool did he use?) and he said that he just had alot of experience with these washers. Fair enough. He puts the panel back on and is packing up while I watch the washer fail to move on to the next cycle. He pulls the panel off again, apparently rigged something below and heads for the door again. As I move to the washer to test it myself, he abruptly tells me, "I can't spend all day here" and hits the road. I load the washer and turn it on-NOTHING, NADA, ZILCH. $279.00 for this despicable service. I'll never buy a Sears product again. Sears has gone downhill beyond belief. As I write this, I've been on hold for what seems to be over twenty minutes with the South Florida District of Sears. No one answers!!! They don't want to deal with complaints.

Will not honor warranty
I purchased Sears Replacement Windows in 1993 and was guarantee a lifetime warranty on warping, chipping, pealing and cracking and a 20 year warranty on loss of the insulated seal for as long as I owned my home. I called Sears talked with Rhonda and I requested that I needed someone to come and repair 4 windows and I had a warranty to cover this. She requested I fax her a copy of my warranty. I faxed a copy and received a call back from Rhonda on my answering machine stating that this warranty was just an estimate not a warranty. The two windows I needed repaired were warped and the other two the seals were broken. I bought these windows because of the lifetime warranty. The warranty specifically said that Sears will grant a lifetime warranty on these window not the window company. They will not honor my warranty and said my warranty was only good for a year. I had Sears come out and fix my windows in 1998 and was not charged for the repair. This was past the one year period and they should have the warranty I sent them on file. I am very upset with Sears and will no longer purchase anything from them. They do not stand by what they say, which makes them untrustworthy.
