Sears Reviews

Rebate
We bought an appliance which we were told we would get a $75 rebate that we could use anywhere we wanted. We went to another store to use the card and it would not go through. We thought that we had to call and activate the card so tried and could not get through to a person at the number that we called.
We have since gone on to see that there are complaints about this card rebate and am hoping that we have not been set up for a scam.
We can't understand why a big company such as Sears would even let themselves get involved in something like this and we are seriously thinking of not shopping here for any other large appliances. Now we know why they can charge less than other companies.
Any company that scams their costumers like that should not be in business as we are all under the same stress of trying to keep up with the economy and all of the higher prices, this just puts a person over the top.

Cancelled my order
I ordered a TV from local Sears. I paid for it and all I had to do was pick it up. 2 hours later I received an email saying sorry we cancelled your order due to incorrect inventory. The email recommended I reorder the TV and have it shipped to my house. However, the online price was more plus I had to pay $69.99 in shipping.

I sent an email to Sears customer service letting them know I was a little upset. I got two ruid emails back. I will not shop at Sears again. I fully expect them to follow some of the other stores and start closing doors. I will not be surprised after all the same policies put their sister store, KMART, where it is today.

Don't get your car repaired at Sears
Couple months my Toyota's suspension system failed me and I was left stranded on the side of the road. Sears Auto Center repaired it quickly, and gave me a 6 month warranty.

Today, 2 months into the supposed warranty, my suspension system failed again. A representative there claimed that it was the company that provides the parts' fault, and said that "the best we can do is to fix your suspension system", and pushed everything else to Sears' insurance company. To me that was very unprofessional and if you don't want to be the catalyst of a traffic jam because your suspension system failed, don't fix your car at Sears

methods of payment
Went into the Sears store in Pensacola, Fl. to pay off my wife's account and then we were going to go upstairs and buy a $1250 Samsung washer and a matching Samsung dryer which was $1150. The lady at the payment center said I could not pay her bill on a debit card so I asked her to run it as a credit card and she refused to do so and said she could not take a payment like that on a credit card. I could buy anything in the store with my card but could not pay my wife's account????? Needless to say, we are going down the street to HHGregg and purchase the same washer and dryer and stands and mtce. plan. I suggest Sears implement another way to pay in their payment section.

wrongfully sales
I went to sears in fitzgerald georgia to buy a washer and dryer. The outside of store was used appliances displayed all across front of store which was very misleading, I went inside only to see more used appliances displayed in there also. When I was looking around at the new appliances the manager kept trying to get my attention toward buying the used ones, I told him I wanted a new set, again he kept praising his used ones trying to convince me to buy them.So I left and bought a new set from another business and I was telling them about my sears experience, and I was told that the manager makes more money on the used sales because them are haul away appliances the manager had repaired and he keeps all that money. That explained why he wanted me to buy used instead of buying a sears product.I mentioned this experience to some friends and they have been through the same experience there, this managers name is kenny.I think he is a disgrace to be a sears representative if you ask me, looks like he is out for himself instead of the sears company.I have a friend that owns a used appliance store and if I had of wanted used appliances I would of went to him anyway.

CC AND CHECK
Back in 96' my husband paid off a Sears Credit Card and in 03' when we decided to buy a house they had as he owed and we had to pay it again just to get it cleared up for the purchase. Then 05' it shoed up again and this time they said it was a remainder amount of 700+ dollars...we paid it thinking we should to keep our report cleared. In 07' I wrote a check that did not clear, they sent to a collection agency then I paid the Collection Agency...amount plus bouced fee and again "today-2011" I recieved a collection agency notice wanting payment for the same check! When I called Sears because I am not going to send another payment they acted like I was rude on the phone "Bianca" in "Customer Service" talked over me even though all I wanted was the name of the original collection agency they had sent it to so that I could have my bank find my proof. Anyone else experiencing this situation?

bad service
On january 28 Kenmore washer brokedown. Washer is under warranty. Parts took 3 weeks to get here and 3 service calls later, the main part was damaged. They ordered again and rescheduled. Currently at 30 days without washer. Customer service was terrible. The last word was that they will emergency order the part within 48 hours will be here but the first service call I could get is 2/25, seven days from now.

Electric Range
I bought a sears electric range and within 3 years the control board exploded upon pressing bake. I looked up the real manufacturer and saw it was spitfire controls, mexico. Sears sells junk. Their customer service is outsourced to the phillipines. I wouldn't buy anything from this "foreign" company that rips people off. I am going to sue them. They have the absolute worst customer service and their products are non-usa knock-offs. You'd do better buying crap at a garage sale. I believe they are now owned by a Dubai interest. Made in America, yeah right.

Don't buy from! Once a giant now a failure!
I have ended the last of the Sears using hopefuls. They just don't have the money or people to care.

Let the franchise go the way of the five and dime! Who decided I needed words another example of lack of service!

THIS doent make me any happier!
