customer service !
Jackie M. a customer services rep was rude talking to me like I was dumb. Why was it so hard to cancel a order just in minutes of placing it and I had the cancellation number and email for legal reasons Jackie M. still talking to me like it was not cancel so I have to go all out my way to go to sears to return the items I dont care any more I am returning all of them and will contact the corporate office
about this small thing turning into this it is ridiculous and Jackie M. said I was rude when I copied all the chats then she called me just to say where done and hanged up I thought it was to talk about a understanding So I recommend do not shop at sears shop at walmart they are cheaper and they price match every thing

truck battery
Today 1-24-2011 in rutland vermont the temperature dropped to 23 below zero i went out to start my truck and it would not start. This is the 2nd battery i have bought under warrenty at sears. i purchaced this one last month because it was having the same trouble. I called sears automotive department and they told me to jump the battery and bring the battery in to the store. How is that possible if the battery will not start to get to the store . So i will have to call a tow truck company and have them jump start my truck at my exspence.

INCOMPETANCE
I have called Sears for repair of a washing machine many times over the years; every time I do I spend upwards of 2 hours on the phone trying to make that appointment. Their call center transfers me to dead lines, closed departments, have hung up on me, ignored me when they answer and disconnected the call. If and when I do get to make my appointment, they don't show up to do the repair or hours late (not exagerating). All the while, lying to me when I inquire as to when the service repair man will show up. This has happened too many times.

It is truly unfortunate that an American Owned company has so little regard for their own customers. Pride in ownership is not a concern of theirs at all. BEWARE, Do Not Buy Anything From Sears that may need a repair man to fix. You'll waste hours of your life trying to get someone to help you.

Water Heater Installation
I bought a water heater through Sears. When I ordered it they asked me the type (gas or electric) and size (40 gallon). The Sears water heater sales call center is not in my state. Two days later the actual installers (who are in my city) called and told me to give them the model number off the existing non-working water heater. When I did they told me the water heater Sears call center ordered was a "tall" and that would not fit - I needed a "medium". I called Sears and ordered a "medium". They told me those are uncommon and not in stock so I'd have to wait until the following Wed. for delivery to my local store then I could arrange for installation. They also told me they'd cancel my 1st order and create a new order. The installer called and we arranged for installation the day after delivery of the water heater, on a Thursday. That day I took the day off work and waited for the delivery and installation that never occurred. After a few phone calls I found out the call center accidentally cancelled not only the first order but the second order also. No one called me. I had no idea. And I had taken a vacation day off work also. The call center said they'd research it and they'd call me back. A supervisor from the call center called my daughter at work (who had the 2nd number on the order) and told her if we wanted to re-order the water heater, we could call him directly. My daughter called me (since I was paying for it) and gave me the supervisor's name and number. I called and the supervisor would not speak to me, the person I spoke to said he was "doing invoices" and said he'd return my call. He never called. I ended up shopping more and purchased a water heater and installation somewhere else, at a cost over $200 higher than Sears, but with peace of mind that it will probably be delivered and installed when they said it would. If I had gone with Sears, we would have gone without hot water for nearly 2 weeks, and that is IF they got the order right this time. That is unacceptable. And I took a whole day off work for nothing. Their first error was to order the wrong water heater on the first order. I do not buy a water heater every day - in fact I've never done it before. They are supposed to be the experts, not me. When the order was corrected and the 2nd one was ordered, it seems like the call center person didn't know how to cancel one order and create a new one - whether this is because they don't know how to use their computer or what, it caused a lot of stress/anxiety/cost of time and money - not to mention my family having NO HOT WATER for 2 weeks. And it is unprofessional of the supervisor of the call center not to speak to me or to return my call. I was going to re-order it! They lost my business.

heating unit-kenmore
well I have had this unit 6 years every year they have to come out and work on it 2-4 times and my power bill goes to 500.00-600.00 each time but do they care no they got me to buy a lemmon so Im the one that got scewed but as many times as they have been out and still having to they could have replaced mine with two units so now we are both scewed and will be for the next 4 years untill the warenty runs out so they will be out as much money as i am what a shame they are not smarter than that.

We have a Sears Solutions Credit Card, we purchased a Sony HD TV on a 24 month promotion which was due 11-15-10. We sent a payment of $1100.00 and called them to let them know to pay off the TV and apply any difference to the other promotion, they received the payment on 11-12-10 the balance was $1087.31 they
applied only $1060.00 to the balance thus charging us the full amount of interest which was $1080.00. We have had to contact them 3 times and each time they say it will be deducted and as of last statment is has not been taken off. It took you only seconds to charge me for the interest, but it takes months to take it off. We do wonder how many customers you have cheated in this manner? Mike and Alice Berry

poor customer service
One month ago I called Sears to request technician service for my treadmill, I requested the appointment for today January 13, to assure I could be more available to receive what I requested. Sears doesn’t call to confirm appointments, so I called there customer service line yesterday (Jan 12) to assure appropriate use of my time. In my call, I was told by customer service personnel that they don’t give time appointments in Puerto Rico, and that they recommend: "I should take my day off and rest while they arrive".(abusive) wait at least from 8am to 5pm.You know what? I did, I woke up 2:30 am, I went to start my work at the hospital, (doctor) left some things done, and traveled back home to beat home at 8:00am as they told me; then I stayed at home until 5:30pm and they never arrived after nine hours . During this period I called twice a 1 800 number and I received the same response. “there is nothing we can do, for Puerto Rico, there are no hour for appointments, so just wait. We cannot call the technician. Just wait. After the nine hour wait, I called again and asked for a supervisor, they made me wait in the phone, hearing music for twenty minutes finally they hung the phone. I lost nine hours of my work day just for nothing. Finally I went back to the hospital to complete my work, nine hours late. They have no respect for their clients.

Didn't deliver
Purchased refrigerator from Sears in Crockett, Texas. Was told it would be delivered in 3 days. I stayed home all day. Did not receive a call. I went to store personally and I was told they couldn't deliver and had the item in store. Said they would try to deliver on Monday. I told then I have never had that happen especially without a phone call explaining reason for not delivering and I would never be back in that store again to purchase anything. Saleslady looked at me like I was crazy. Do not buy anything from Crockett Sears unless you can pickup your own item.

Warranty
Our Kenmore Elite Washer was under warranty. The repair person came out and saw the problem. The washer was misaligned and the drum was vibrating all over the place. The repair man said the Sears does not want to fix the problem correctly. They are maksing this fix with rubber bumpers. I being an apartment manager for some time while I was getting my MBA new better. I am a college professor now for a large university. I told the repair guy that the drum and the alignment needed to be fixed. He told me there was nothing he could do because Sears wasn't going to fix it right. They were only going to mask the real problem. He said that Sears is trying to cut costs anyway they can and this is very frustrating for the repair person. He left and said that he would order the rubbers.

This did not fix the problem and we told the repair guy and showed him by doing a small load for him to see that the washer was still not working correctly. The washer was still moving around and was not stationary. So we complained to the repair guy. He said he would take the notes and report to his boss.

I did call repair and told them of the problem and they did say they would call me back with another service date. No call was ever received and the holidays took over since this was in October of 2010.

I did call back and complained again to the service department. Then I spoke to a service operator and after she put me on hold for several times because she was speaking to her supervisor. The supervisor told her that they would honor this particular item and we scheduled a day to repair the washer.

January 13th 2011 came and a repair guy rang the door bell and said I am here to collect money. I was in shock and could not believe my ears. I called the repair number the original lady gave me and now they have conveniently lost the conversational notes and Sears promise to fix the problem correctly. Now they refuse to fix this item until I pay them the service call. I have been back and forth on hold for over 1 and 1/2 hours with no sulution. In fact Nancy the manager would not even give me the service manual that the first repair man got took from me even though the first representative and Jessie the case manager said no problem to my request.

This is just a slap in the face to a loyal customer. I have spent well over $15, 000 for all of my appliances and service agreements to get this type of rude, arrogant, broken promises and now just flat out disception.

Be very careful when speaking to Sears and their repair department. Make sure you take good copious notes. since Sears loses them so conveniently.

I would not buy large appliances from them again and am going to tell all of my friends and relatives of this terrible customer treatment and the disception that Sears has demonstrated.

Bad service
I signed a contract with sears to install a new gas furnace on 12-2-10. My old furnace worked will but was 15 yrs old. Just wanted an upgrade. Sears sent a subcontractor to install the new furance and it does not give adequate heat. After numerous calls and endless revisiting by the contractor my furnance is still not working. The sales rep assured me that if there is a problem after three visits they would correct the problem. I need help, I am constantly getting the run around. I only went with Sears because i though they would honor their policy.
