Horrible Customer Service!!
I have had the absolute worst customer service experience of my life with a dishwasher that I purchased from Sears! I ordered the dishwasher and the installation company came to deliver and install it in our kitchen. They left without securing the dishwasher to the countertop! Furthermore there was a leak that caused water to pool inside the dishwasher and subsequently leak onto my kitchen floor! The installation company claimed that the dishwasher could not be mounted to a granite countertop so they left the dishwasher uninstalled instead of trying to resolve this problem. Furthermore they claimed absolutely no responsibility for the leaky dishwasher.
Now this situation actually got worse when I tried to call Sears directly to resolve this issue. A customer service rep would note my complaint every day that I called without actually offering any resolution. Their standard reply was "An escalation team manager will contact you shortly to fix this." After several days of repeating my story to a new rep without anybody calling me back to take responsibility I was told "Your escalation manager Lindsey should have called you two days ago. We have no idea why she did not call you back." So this morning I called Lindsey directly to be put on hold while she investigates the problem. In the 15 minuted I was on hold, the line was disconnected. So I called back and asked for Lindsey -I was told she just left for her lunch break!!!
Right now I am on hold with the 15th person at Sears I have spoken to over the last week requesting that they cancel my order and give me a refund. I am sick of dealing with them! I will buy my dishwasher elsewhere.

BAD SERVICE
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS STORE AND SEARS AS A WHOLE. WENT THROUGH 3 ELECTROLUX MACHINES. ALL BROKEN BY THE SEARS DELIVERY PEOPLE. THE FIRST PAIR LEAKED. THE 2ND and 3RD STOPPED PUMPING WATER. WE WAITED ABOUT 3-4WKS TO GET THE 2ND PAIR. ALL 3 PAIRS WERE BROKEN BY THE SEARS DELIVERY PEOPLE BY TAKING THE SHIPPING BOLTS OUT/OFF BEFORE BRINGING THEM UP A 100FT BUMPY ROAD IN FRONT OF OUR HOUSE. THE 3RD WAS HAULED OFF ABOUT 2.5WKS AGO. WE STILL HAVE NOT RECIEVED A CREDIT FOR THEM. WE BOUGHT A WASHER/DRYER PAIR FROM BEST BUY AND THEY WERE WONDERFUL DIDN'T TAKE THE SHIPPING BOLTS OUT UNTIL THEY WERE IN OUR LAUNDRY ROOM. MACHINES STILL WORKING GREAT. WE HAD TO PAY A LITTLE IN CASH BECAUSE 2 PAIRS WERE STILL ON OUR SEARS CREDIT CARD. HAVE TALKED TO ALMOST EVERYONE AT SEARS VERY RUDE. THE LAST WAS THE WORSE. HE IS TRYING TO SAY IT HAS BEEN 90 DAYS SINCE OUR FIRST MACHINE AND THAT "ANY OTHER STORE WOULD HAVE TOLD US TO TAKE A HIKE" WHEN WE DID NOT DO ANYTHING BUT TRY TO GET A WASHER/DRYER PAIR.

customer service
there is no customer service, you go to the auto section, ask for a part for a big ticket item you bought from them, then wait till they figure out which of them actually wants to spend a minute with you, to tell you that they dont know where to get any parts, and or how long it will take to order, or if they can order or not, .
i spent an hour confirming what i have always believed, there is no customer service, period,
my family doesnt ever shop there, unfortunately i thought i could give them another shot.

Never buy tires from Sears
I attempted to purchase a set of tires from Sears in Ann Arbor. The store was happy to take my money, only to tell me that they could no longer get those tires. Ok, so they ordered from a different manufacturer, only to tell me that it would take 1 week to receive them. They called me one week later to come in to get the tires (blizzard conditions), but I drove in and they took my keys. After waiting 2 hours in the mall, they called me to inform me that they had "lost" my tires. They saw them yesterday, but they are gone. This store is absolutely worthless, as are the ENTIRE management. Do not ever shop Sears in the Briarwood Mall, especially for tires!!!

Raciest manager
I was called for an interview with sears in the automotive department.The interview took about an hour, they said i was qualified for the job and would be called monday.monday came no call so i called wensday.The manager told me he had two more interviews and it was on thursday because one person called and canceled on monday so he said he would let me know thursday, never heard from him.The next week i called again and he didnt even remember.I had a bad feeling about him during the one interview because i asked would i be working in the garage he said no only tecnitions, in fact when i took my car there for tires i talked to two machanics and one doesnt have training he said he just know cars and the other took lessons in high school.I think the manager is a complete raciest.

Customer Service
I purchased a new 2, 000 tv on October 30 2010. The eveneing of December 11 2010 it stopped working, 41 days after purchase. The front of Sears reciept says I have until Jan 29 2011 to return it. I called the number of the store on the reciept and after a few menus spoke to someone named Sheila. I explained the situation and she said the store had one in stock and I could exchange it. So I packed the 60" TV into my suburban and drove to the store. The merchandise pick up folks took it out of my car and said I needed to go to the electronics department to make an exchange. As soon as I got there the salesperson said I was past the 30 day return period. On the back of the reciept it does say 30 days for electronics. I asked to speak to a manager. The manager was adament I could not exchange it. I understand the coprorate policy but what I dont understand is
Why did Sheila tell me to bring it back? The store manager said there is no Sheila. I beg to differ, I spoke to someone who claimed to be Sheila that morning. He stated she was probably with custoemr service. My response was she was trying to give me customer service and he was not.
The store manager is there to make decisions. I am positive that he has the authority to make decisions that will help improve customer relations. In this case he did not. His name is John Bradshaw and he is actually the assistant store manager. He made a bad decision by not allowing some flexibility when 2 different faces of sears at at conflict (Sheila, John and their Reciept).
I have had to call the manufacturer (Sharp) who will come and service my TV in 3 days. So no tv for at least 3 days and if they need to remove my TV to service it, who knows how much longer it will be.
Sears could have made the right decision but they did not. John Bradshaw has caused a Sears customer to not be. I will not make any large purchases from Sears again and I hope those reading this forum make similar decisions. Sears does not deserve to be in business if they cannot manage their relations with their suppliers and force customers to comply with "strict corporate policies" with no room to make appropriate decisions.

customer service and delivery
I puchased a tv from sears on 11/29/10 at 6pm, a sharp aquos quattron 60 inch, sales lady was very nice to me. the only thing good I would say about sears right now. I took the tv home, set it up started watching tv, and than the picture went black, small v emblem on front started flashing, and continued ..I called sharp and sears the next morning on issue from work. Explained to sharp tech the issue and he said to call him when i returned home to try to trouble shoot problem with a reset, in which I had to be home to do this, needless to say this did not fix problem. I called sears and said I would need another tv, their was no more on hand, so the sales person said it would take 2 days for me to receive a new one, and that I needed to Call back and talk to Denver the following day to get this reorder. So the next day I called talked to Denver on wednesday, he said he would order me a new tv and have it delivered to my home around Friday the following week. Here I sit with no tv and was told it would take 2 days, than now I am waiting over a week to receive a new one. This might not seem bad to some people, but I haved saved the entire year to pay cash of 2278.00 to get a nice tv for the holidays. When the tv was set up for delivery to my home I told Denver That I was a manger and worked 5 till 4 monday thru friday and I would have to have at least an half an hour precall before they delivered to my home so I could be there to recieved the tv..He sid fine, I even called the 1-800-number on the bottom of my receipt to sears deliverly to make sure I had this 1/2 an hr precall to my phone..Well now it gets there interesting, the deliverly which is a third party that sears hires from West Frankfort Il. called Riches, comes to my home and calls me and says they are at my house ready to give me my tv, and the man says to me where are you and I said at my job. And that I was waiting on a precall so I could be there, he says he does not know anything about a precall.So now he is leaving going to his next stop, So I called sears 1-800-number again and said That I never got my new tv, because no one knew of a precall . They said they would put another precall on the next deliverly on Friday of 1 hour to my phone, So here again I sit with no tv...Friday I am at my job, I get a phone call from the deliverly man stating he is 15 minutes from my home with my tv. I said I am at work and I would be there in 25 min., he said he is on his way to my home and will not wait...I said what hppened to my precall of 1 hr. agin he does not know anything. So I rushed out of my job took a 2 hr leave to drive home 35 miles and hopefully get there to receive my tv...Oh no The man calls his manager at deliverly office and explains to the lady that I would not be at my home in 15 minutes, so she tells him to go to another drop and forget about my stop. She than called me and told me this.Yes I was very upset when I heard that she had told them to take another route and to forget about me. So she did not even give me a chance to get there, By the time they got to my house and unloaded the tv and got the paper work together I would have been ther in a few minutes . But she did not even consider that, She said she would not be delivering my tv today..Here I am half way home and arguing with this very rude lady about a tv That I had TO wait on For over a week on because I had bought a broken one from sears, over a week ago and now I still can not get the tv because no one will give me the precall to leave my job on my lunch to get this tv . Yes i am very mad and said she took it upon herself to not even give me a chance to get there when I was supposed to had a precall on both deliveries and did not recieved any. She said she would take my tv to sears if I wish to pick it up there that evening. Yes, that is fine . I was very upset and she said to call sears 1-800 number that they were responsible for this . So I hung up on her and proceeded to sears in marion to talk to management. Here i am on a 2 hr lunch from my job that my boss did not have to even give to me, running around trying to get my tv. Please how can you treat your customers like this and hire a rude deliverly service to act like this to your customers. This is your company, you should pay closer attention to who you hire to deliver your products . I went to sears to talk to management of how I can get my tv, Paul was trying to help me. I guessed he called to check on problem and told me he would get the tv back to the store so I could get someone to come by with a truck to pick it up for me that evening. Needless to say he called deliverly company any the lady said she would not return my tv to the store today and it would be the next day. come on now this lady is holding my tv hostage for 1 day because i was not happy with her on the way she had handle the issue. And this is a sears product so if sears wanted it returned to the store and she works for sears, than how in the ...does this lady have the right to do this. Please this is getting way out of hand now. All I wanted was a new tv and not all this drama, Not only did this cost me time and money, I also already had scheduled direct tv to come to my home on saturday morning to install new service and dvr to this tv . So now I have to cancell direct tv about my new installation, because I have no TV. So now can you see the issue why am very upset with your company and your deliverly service that you have hired. I hired a friend to take the broken tv back to sears on friday night, now again.I have no tv . I work in retail, so why did not one person even suggest to offer me a different tv to fix the situation. I am very dissappointed with sears. I have been shopping their for years, But I will no longer ever step foot in their again. And I will be sure to express my event to other customers in the future... DESTROYED MY WHEELS
WENT INTO SEARS TODAY (12/10/2010), TO HAVE FOUR TIRES MOUNTED AND BALANCED. AFTER GETTING MY TRUCK BACK HOME, I NOTICED ALL FOUR RIMS HAD BEEN BADLY DAMAGED, WITH NICKS AND SCARES. I CALLED, BROUGHT THE TRUCK RIGHT BACK AND AS I THOUGHT THEY WOULD SAY THERE IS NO WAY WE COULD HAVE DONE THAT...BULLSHIT!!! THE PERSON WHO WORKED ON MY TRUCK, SHOULD BE FIRED, SO AFTER GOING THE HELL OFF FOR A HOUR, THEY OFFERED SOME BULLSHIT DEAL, I BOOSTED IT UP A NOTCH AND TOOK IT. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR OR TRUCK, GO ELSE WHERE, THIS HAS HAPPENED TO SEVERAL OF MY CO-WORKERS AT DUPONT, AND I WOULD HATE TO SEE IT HAPPEN TO YOU.

Service appointment
An appointment was made by myself and the service department at Sears for a Lawn Tractor (extended warranty agreement) on Dec. 8, 2010. I waited all day for a call or a service technician to show up. I called about 12:00 noon to find out if and when they were coming out. I waited another 5 hours and called back because I never heard from them. They told me that the representative on the phone had canceled my appointment at 12:00 noon. I never said cancel or reschedule or any words similar to that. I had to reschedule the appointment for Dec. 22, 2010, which was the only time convenient for them not me, the customer. I am extremely upset with Sears.

Credit denied
We went in to the store on December 8, 2010 to purchase an upright freezer. When our credit card was presented we were denied because our card had been cancelled from lack of activity. I have been a customer with Sears since 1996. I don't buy a large amount of products but whenever I am looking for a new appliance I go to Sears.
The answer I received when I called customer service was that is company policy and she was not able to do anything. I am really upset that my account was cancelled and if this cannot be resolved I will not be using Sears in the future
