Sears Reviews

poor services
Sears first had the wrong Sony Bravia tv delivered to my home. When I called in, I was told that nothing could be done and that I would have to come in. After finding the Bravia we had expected to get, the cash register would not accept my check. I checked with my bank and I did have more than enough to to cover the check. When the manager walked off saying that there was nothing I could do, I took my custom to Costco and had no trouble there. In the meantime, the orginal tv sits in my living room more than 24 hours later.

Products and Service are horribe at sears
Bought a tractor from sears 4/2/10, returned on 4/10/10, Repurchased on the 10th returned on the 18th, repurchased on 4/18/10. Returned again on 10/16/10. The first tractor came with a dead battery - serviced called still could not get it working - returned. The second tractor came with a broken transmission - manager of store came to house could not get it working - returned. Third tractor worked until 10/16/10 - transmission belt broke. Went back to store and repurchased yet another tractor. Played deliver tag- finally delivered on 10/26/10. Refused to help me take the bagger off. Complained to district manager. they came took off the bagger but left it on the step infront of my back door. No note but later found out that the bagger does not fit the tractor. Owner called and told me how dare I call Sears corporate and that he did not have to help me like he did. Threatening to return old tractor. I told him fine as I had purchased a 3 year warrently with it. I am feed up and just want out. I just do not want to deal with Sears again.

Lecherous old manager
At the Manchester Center Sears in Fresno, Ca., is a Home Improvements manager named Terry R. Lewis. Mr. Lewis is 69 years old (although his shaved head makes him look younger) and has a taste for attractive young female associates. The latest target of his depraved attentions is a young lady named Rebecca C., a 22-year-old MCA.

I heard about Rebecca C. before I ever saw her. Mr. Lewis was talking to myself and another sales associate over at the "drop zone" in the hardware department about a month ago, and said, "Have you seen the body on that new MCA --- Rebecca? Oh, man!" Mr. Lewis was the one who hired her.

It's almost reached the joke level - although the situation is far from being funny - in our department about how Mr. Lewis "oogles" Rebecca whenever he gets the chance. Whenever she bends over to pick something up, he is right there - looking down the neckline of her shirt. I remember doing this sort of thing - when I was 12 years old in the seventh grade.

How would you like it if your 22-year-old daughter were the target of the sexual cravings of a lecherous 69-year-old man every time she went to work?

wrongfully being sued
I just received a letter of being sued for $200.00 from SEARS's Law Firm and it is a scam! My son is being wrongly accused of stealing a t-shirt when it was a boy he was with. My son has NEVER been in any kind of trouble before and the head of security told us that he had reviewed the tapes and my son had nothing to do with it. We went home thankful that my son made the right decision to encourage the boy to not steal and stayed out of getting in trouble. Now less than a month later I get a Settlement Offer saying I owe them $200.00. This is a scam and I wonder how many people have paid them the money because it is a very intimidating letter saying if I don't pay them very quickly then they will sue me for even more money! This is outrageous! I'm sure most people just pay the $200.00 to get them off their back. I have no intent on paying this ever. This is wrong!! i will never shop at SEARS again and neither will any one in my circle of family and friends.

Misrepresentation
i have been a loyal customer for over fifty years! this is the last time i'll argue fight, complain or anything else. the battery drill reputation they have is almost unbelieveable. i was suckered into buying a fifteen dollar warranty. they now want to give me a gift card, for what? i've had three of their bad drills, and now have none, and what am i going to do with a sears gift card? maybe buy a bathing suit, or a garden hose to get soaked again. i only want my cash back, before sears and k-mart file bankruptcy. rumors are suggesting this is very close to happening. if you've noticed very few products in sears tores carry the kemore or craftsman name. DON'T GET SUCKED INTO ONE OF THOSE PURCHASE PROTECT WARRANTY'S LIKE I DID.sears has made a fool of me, and caused me great embarassment.

Worst company ever
I scheduled an appointment with a rep over the phone a week ago to repair our broker dryer which is still covered under the warranty. We took time off from work and confirmed with them 3 times to make sure that someone would definitely be here. Then, we got a call at 2:10 the day of my appt saying no one will be coming and the next available appt is 2 days later. We have kids which means a lot of dirty clothes to wash. The weather is so humid that nothing gets dried by just hanging in the laundry room.

I was irate and asked to speak to a supervisor who in turn told me there was nothing she could do for me besides rescheduling another appointment which she can't promise that someone will come out on the rescheduling date.

We bought tens of thousands of dollars of appliances from Sears over the years, and this is just a terrible way to handle a business and its customers. We will never buy anything from sears ever again. And I will make sure that such terrible business practice are to be known by all my relatives, friends, coworkers, and anyone I get in contact with.

Poor product, poor service
We purchased a dishwasher from Sears 1.5 years ago so it isn't that old. Already the pump has broken and has to be replaced. Fortunately we bought the extended warranty on it. I phoned a week ago to set up a repair. It was set for yesterday between 10-2. We waited around all day for them. Well they never showed up, not a single phone call to inform us they weren't coming, and now we have to wait another week for the next appointment. I phoned numerous times yesterday and was told each time that someone was coming. As for contacting customer service, they could care less. I would not recommend buying any appliances from Sears based on this experience alone.

Repair department
We purchased the most expensive front load washer and dryer Sears had to offer last year along with a 5 year repair and maintenace plan. Several months ago the washer quit working we called and they made us an appointment for 2 weeks out between 8 and 5. My wife took off work and when I got home at 3 they still had not arrived. At 5 they called and said they were running late at 6 they called and said that he wasn't coming because the code it was showing was a part that he would need to order and when it came in he would reschedule. We gave them the code on the day we called in. The repair tech never looked at the order until he got ready to come. Another week and they did come and fix it.

It has now stopped working again we scheduled our appointment and again it would be two weeks and again between 8 and 5. They have called two times to confirm the appointment. For Tuesday. We have told them that the door won't open and there are wet clothes that have been in there for several days. THey could offer no help getting them out. On Monday they called to confirm the appointment for Tuesday. On Monday evening they called to say they could not have a tech in that area on Tuesday and that it would now be THursday. The whole time we waited and did the best we could without being able to wash clothes and now another two days.

THere are major problems with the repair scheduling at Sears. After all the follow up calls and making people miss all day at work only to come after 5 etc. and then not come at all or call to reschedule. We paid a lot of money for both the washer and the repair contractl. I feel we've been had. We will probably look elsewhere for our next major purchase. Beware you will be inconveinced and loose time from work with the Sears repair program.
