meriless termination
I am so angry. My husband is a hard working man with years or experience. He worked as a service tech for Sears and was highly praised by his customers. He recently got awards for his work. He was a hard worker and showed up for work on time day after day. Few people have the expertise in this field and are as reliable as my husband. Sears terminated him for wearing open back shoes that he wore when it was about 94 degrees outside. He told his boss that he would never do it again yet he was still terminated and was never given a letter of warning. I don't think I will ever shop there are recommend this company again. This is a merciless act on the part of Sears. Sears has the greater loss.

in response from sears person about my complaint. i was courteous and the problem was resolved but the person handling the complaint nevery followed through. as per you request, i will no.longer purchase anything from sears. i think your comment was not in good taste

No Refrigerator
I scheduled an appointment on 8/16 for my refrigerator. The rep told me the soonest someone could get to me was 8/30. After taking the day off from work, the tech calls me around 4pm saying he was 45 minutes away. Those 45 minutes turned into 3 hours without a reply. When I called back, I was told I had to reschedule for Tuesday 8/31 because the routing dept. was closed for the day and they couldnt contact the technician. Its funny how when I mentioned to the rep that I was taking my business elsewhere, she kindly offered me a $25 gift card. Totally ridiculous!!! A gift card wont replace my nonworking, food spoiling fridge in 90 degree weather. At the moment I am still waiting for the new technician which I was told would be arriving 40 minutes ago.

I bought a washer and after 30 days it stopped working, they wont replace I have to wait for factory to contact me and try and fix it

they put wrong size tires on truck now rear makes noise
they put 4 new tires on my 1999 truck (245-75-16). got slow leak so put spare tire on. now rear makes noise, found out they put wrong size on truck. takes 265-75-16. spare tire is right. now rear is getting louder. called sears about 4 or 5 times, they said Mike the manager would call me, but he never calls. would like to fix this with out going with legal action. its up to you? 8-30-2010.

Disappointing Sears Service
Sears Home Service is very disappointing. I had an service appointment to repair my washer this afternoon and I called Sears Home Service this morning to confirm the appointment and the representative told me positively that the technician will come to my home between 1:00-5:00 PM. So I took the afternoon off from my work to stay at home. Then around 4:30pm Sears called me that the technician could not come and I had to schedule another appointment. When I asked if they can come after hours since it's difficult for me to take another day off from my work, they told me no. When I requested to talk with their manager, they let me wait for about 20 minutes and nobody ever answered the phone. I am very disappointed in Sears!

mattress warranty
I purchased a cal king mattress from Sears. Within 4 months it was sagging and lumpy. After many many hours of being transferred to different people, which I have every name they said they would replace the mattress. We again had to travel over 2 hours to the store pick out another mattress and wait for months to receive it which of course we had to travel again 2 hours one way to pick it up. Imagine our surprise the second mattress was worse than the 1st. My husband sinks in and I am on a lump. It has been over a year with no replies from Sears we keep getting the run around. This mattress has a 10 year warranty. I do have all the paper work and names.

unresponsive appliance manager
i complained several weeks ago about a refrigerator filter i purchased and why you had to raise the price. i was told that the manager would call.she called and i talked to her and we reached an agreement that she would credit me with the 10% increase in price.
to date that has not happened. i have been unable to reach her, leaving my name and phone number with no response. if this is the way you handle business, i do not care to do so with sears

Kenmore refrigerator
I cannot believe what I am reading! This is insane! A refrigerator burning people's house down! WOW! Although my house did not burn down, (thankfully), the same thing did happen to us 3 days ago with our fridge. I'm not going to tell my story b/c it is the same as all the others. Thankfully I was home getting ready to leave, when I found my kitchen in a haze and my house smelling like a chemical plant. How scary to know that I could have come home to a house burned to the ground and my pets dead b/c of a faulty part on a fridge! I am very angry to find so many people have also gone through this, and even angrier that I have never, ever heard from Sears notifying us of something as serious as this. They do know how to contact you to renew your warranty on their crappy products though! And to think, I own a kenmore washer and dryer. You can be sure that after finishing this I will be checking for any complaints on those products as well. While I'm here, I'll look into the LG fridge I had to purchase yesterday!

I hope the corporate giants behind these products take responsibility for the damage they have caused and unfortunately for the ones that haven't happened yet. They should be ashamed of themselves! I just called my girlfriend who has the same fridge, and she too will be replacing
hers. Tell everyone you know about this, and make sure you file a complaint. I know I am!

Extortion
On 6-26-2010 I purchased a freezer from the Sears store in Grayling, Mi. I paid for delivery of the new freezer and removal of my old freezer. It was suppose to be delivered on 6-29-2010. On 6-29-2010 Sears delivery men arrived with my freezer took it to my basement. While in my basement they removed the door to my old freezer and took it out to their truck. They then stated that they would have to get more help to remove the old freezer and left the freezer in the basement and left my home. They returned on 7-13-2010 with help to remove my old freezer and told me that if I wanted them to remove my old freezer that I would have to pay an additional $50.00! I was shocked and questioned the reason for the addional fee when I already paid to have it removed. They stated that it took more help to remove it and if I didn't pay it, they would not remove the old freezer. I was forced to hand over an additional $50.00 for fear of not having the old appliance removed. I already paid to have it removed and now they're extorting more money from me! I'm 85 years old and do not have that kind of money. I want my money back!!
