service of washer
Trying to get a clothes washer repaired. They cancelled or did not show up on two occassions. On the first incident we received a call that the service persons truck broke down. We later learned that was not true and the sears complaint center did not have an answer as to why we were given that answer. They told me the real reason was a computer glich that affected everyone getting service done that day. As I write this it is 11:40 AM and they were supposed to be here between 7 AM and noon. Go figures that they are going to be late or not show up again. Everyone you talk to says they are sorry but no one will take responsability and get someone to actually show up in a timely manner. As it is we lost three days of work and have been with out a washer for going on 4 weeks. I finally spoke to a manager and they are sending me a $60 gift card to of all places that I dont want to go to SEARS!

to who it may concern :::::: on 11/18/2010 me and my wife had 4 brand new goodyear assurance tires put on her 07 focus first we wanted the old tires back but they kept them second we paid $665.44 for the new tires well we took our car to css mechanic shop in marion iowa to have a service done they found the tires where mounted backwords the marking on the tire that says mount this side in on all 4 tires was on the outside so there was 8.000 miles on the tires mounted backwords they messed up and now they dont wanna refund and give us new tires i talked to cindy the department manager she refuses to do anything about it well thats $665.44 down the drain cindy needs to lose her job and we need to be refunded and new tires NOW cuz i contacted my attorney and we r sewing sears and cindy cuz all they did yesterday was flip the tires around the way there suppose to be and now the car has shake tires r chattering and car pulls to the left bad my name is david coghlan jr and cindy & sears better refund in cash and replace the tires in the next 24 hours or we will see them in court, , , , , , sears can contacted me at [email protected]

Horrible Online/Store Customer Service
I ordered a Kenmore Elite Top Load Washer about 2 weeks ago online. There was a special for Mother's Day... Free Delivery. I received an automated call on Thurs. May 19 that my washer would be delivered on Friday, May 20 between 2:30 and 4:30 CT. At 4:40 I called back the toll free number. It was a guy from India... he told me that the delivery guys were in my town and should be there any minute (I find out later that this was all a lie!!!). I waited another hour and a half before I called them back to ask what the heck was going on? This is now the second person I talk to (also with Indian accent) and she tells me to please hold so she can call the delivery guys. After waiting almost 20 minutes, she comes back and hangs up on me! I waited a few mins for her to call me back (afterall, she had my number!) She didn't, so I had to call back again, give all my info again to another Indian man and was put on hold again for another 15 mins. He returns to tell me that they were done delivering for today! After waiting 4 hours looking out the window and listening for a truck, I was not too happy! So this guy tells me that they will deliver it instead on Monday (today, May 23, 2011). So I call the local store that was going to deliver it and have to listen to the manager there whine to me that I might not get my washer even on Monday because his delivery drivers keep quitting! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! This "manager" (today I find out he was lying too!) tells me he will call me either way to let me know if I'm getting it delivered or not. Of course, he never calls... I gave him till noon, so I call and talk to owner of Sears (she just "happened" to be in the store). She tells me I'm getting it delivered today. While I'm waiting, I go online to look at the actual machine I purchased to see that it is $100 less than I paid for it! I'm making a formal complaint with Corporate Sears! I will be needing other appliances and I will never shop at Sears or Kmart again! What a shame that customer service doesn't matter anymore!

My name is David Doyer we had purchased the appliances repair program. Sears has been out to our house over three times for the same problem with our refrigerator we have lost over $600.00 in food. We have been inconvenienced for over a month every time the fridge rater brakes down sears can’t get any one out for a week. This is extremely poor customer service. I own two businesses have 7 children living at home. If I couldn’t provide better customer service than that in my business. I wound be forced to outsource or go out of business. Sears needs to start doing business like Wal-Mart

wouldn't match sale ad from K-mart
Took ad from K-mart and they would not match sale price.Sears owns K-Mart . Was treated with no respect at all. I had to wait for the mangner Bob for over 10 min before anyone could find him after giving him the ad with the same item he said know because he couldn"t find ex date in the ad.I work in retail and would never treat anyone like that if they took the time to bring me an ad I would have given it to them.They seem to act like they won some kind of fight or somthing by finding some kind of loophole that wasn"t there.They Bob and Josh the sale clerk seem like they didn"t want me to have the sale price from the begining.I felt like I was being laugh at the whole time.The sale price was ten dollars off it was like I was trying to rob a bank.

Warranty Problem
My Kenmore water heater started leaking within its warranty period (Sears agrees on that.). A Sears representative inspected the water heater and called in a replacement water heater with Sears. The Sears-contracted "Installation Team" arrived (empty-handed, no water heater in their van), took one look, and said I would need a different water heater. Oh, by the way, the water heater I needed has been discontinued by Sears. So I call Sears. Sears told me: "You will have to go to one of our competitors and find a water heater, bring it to your house and let the installation team know when it is ready for installation." Or very similar words to that effect. What? My water heater was under warranty! Why did they send me to find a replacement? What if I bring one home that doesn't fit? Man, what a racket they have! Anyone doing business with Sears needs to have their head examined. I was a customer for 30 years. Not now! Anyway, I have a water heater on order and will be without hot water for two weeks.

Dishwasher
I went into the Sears store located in Lynchburg, VA to look into purchasing a dishwasher. I found the one I liked the best and talked to one of the sales guys that was working and he was really helpful and told me a lot about it. So that evening on March 13th I went on Sears.com to purchase the dishwasher. In about a week the dishwasher was delivered to my house. I called and scheduled an installer through Sears and when he came he could not complete the installation because the model dishwasher that I purchased was not made to fit in my kitchen set up. I was not aware of this Issue when purchasing this dishwasher, seems like the sales man would have mentioned this since only two models are made this way – Samsung and Bosh. He told me all I had to do was find a different dishwasher that was made with an open bottom and let Sears know which one I would like and they would order it and install it free of charge.
I went back to the store, the manager was really rude and told me that he could not handle anything at the store and I had to call Sears.com. The store manager kept telling me that the installer didn’t know what they were talking about and that he had to pay “his” employees to do another install.
I called the 1-800 number several times and finally placed another order and I thought all was fine. I was told that I was making a “swap”. I called a few days after to check the status and there was no record of the order, it just never happened.
My fiancé spent a whole morning (4hours) on the phone with Sears.com being transferred and hung up on. Someone would tell him to hold on and he would be connected to someone that had no clue what they were talking about and didn’t know the issue we were having.
Finally Trevor spoke with a manager in Lynchburg and she said that everything was straightened out and I would have a new dishwasher soon. Also she said that the extra charge would be taken off soon as the Samsung (wrong dishwasher) was returned.
Over the next month I received 3 different calls from the delivery department wanting to schedule a delivery and the second and third person said that they had no record about the first person calling. This went on and on for weeks. Finally I was told I would get my dishwasher at the end of April. I got a call from someone at Sears.com telling me that it was inconvenient for my installer to pick up my dishwasher in Ohio, well I guess so I am in Virginia. It was supposed to be delivered here in Lynchburg, VA, I told her, and she said she would fix it but it would take longer to arrive. Well duh!
A week later I get an email that says that my dishwasher is ready to be picked up in Indiana! I don’t know how it made it there!
After being so frustrated I posed some things of Facebook. No one would talk to me. Store managers would not return our calls, there was no one that would help I was stuck. Finally I was put in touch with Dee with Sears Media Department. She looked into everything and was the one to finally get the dishwasher to Lynchburg and it was finally installed in May.
Now I am trying to get a $450.00 charge off my credit card from the Samsung Dishwasher that was returned to Sears and after weeks of phone calls Dee finally tells me that there is no record of me paying that $450 and that it was done as a “swap”. My credit card statements have the charge!
It seems like the only way I get a phone call is when I post something negative on Facebook. I am still out of $450 and no one will give me my money back! I have spent hours on the phone and get nowhere.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!
I bought a 50 inch TV 3 months ago. The TV was a reconditioned TV. The sales person assured me that it would be as good as new due to the fact that it has new parts. about a month after we broght the TV home we started to notice little lines on the screen, now there are more lines and VERY noticable. We took the TV back to Sears. The return department took the TV and gave me a slip, stating that I had to take the slip to electronics and I could either get a return or a replacement.
I gave the salesperson who sold us the TV the slip. He kind of looked at it and told us that we could NOT have a replacement or refund. I explained that the return department accepted the TV and gave me the slip and that I did not want my money back just a TV that worked right. I was told that the return department did not know what they were doing, and there was nothing that could be done to help me. I asked to speak to his supervisor.He walked away to get her.
The salesperson and Store director stood talking to each other in plain view for about 10 min. before she walked over to me.
Zandra was VERY RUDE! She did not even want to listen to ANYTHING I had to say. She told me that there was nothing they could do at the store to help me. Then threatened to have mall security escort me out. I asked for her supervisors phone number, which she did not give me but an 800 number.
I had to go back to returns and get the TV .I drove an hour for this!
If I had wanted to buy junk I would have gone to the swap meet! I thought SEARS would have a little better quality merchendise.
I work in a grocery store and that is one of the MOST important duties that I have. Providing good Customer Service is NOT an option! but a MUST. If it weren't for the customers I would not have a job. Even if there was nothing that ZANDRA could have done, she could have offered to help me by setting up an appointment time to fix the TV.
I think SEARS need to retrain there store directors and maybe teach them some manners to. I for one will NEVER buy any high dollar items there again, to bad for SEARS because I am remodeling and am in need of a refridgerator, more TV's, stove, and washer and dryer. :p

Customer Service
They took my VISA over the phone at a store but would not take it for shipping cost. Then they said they would not be able to help me unless I cancelled the order and let them hold my money for 7-10 business days. Was on the phone from 4:15pm my time until 7:10pm my time trying to get help. Finally they turned me over to Eric in the Escalation Group who told me that there was nothing they could do to help me and they kept trying to tell me I did not place an order using my VISA on the phone yet they were looking at it at the same time I was from the sales check # and the confirmation e-mail. I will never purchase anything else from Sears. NEVER. If I had a flat tire in their parking lot I would walk home in hurricane force winds and rain before I would let them "assist" me ever again

I purchased a hot water heating element in October when we were moving from a house we'd just sold. I was trying to be nice and leave the new buyers with a replacement element. During the move, the element and the box it was in got moved along with all of our other boxes and sat in storage for 6 months until we settled into our new house. When I contacted Sears to return the part (still wrapped in the original packaging and in the original box) they refused to take it back since it had been over 90 days! I couldn't believe their lack of concern for the unique circumstances in this case. Their refusal has caused me totally blacklist Sears for all future purchases.
