Run Away From this Service
Called on Tues to schedule a dishwasher repair. Was told they could not get a technician to me until Fri (Good Fri). I told them I would wait if they PROMISED they would be here between 1-5pm. At 3:30 on Good Friday they call and say technician was delayed at another job and wouldn't be able to make it. I call their OFFSHORE call center get put on hold for over 15min twice. Finally get to talk to someone I can almost understand and do they offer to come out tomorrow NO! first thing Mon NO! How about next Wed. So I get to have a house full of guests with a dishwasher FULL OF PUTRID WATER!!! By the time I was put on hold and made to wait it was too late to find another company to come out. This in not about having to hand wash some dishes, this is about keeping your promises and doing what is right! I would have been miffed if they said they could come first thing Monday morning but Wed between 1 & 5 REALLY???? Sears blue crew will really make you blue :(

will not honor advertised price
ad clearly states that free delivery and haul away is included on all mattress and/or foundation set purchase over $499. The department manager and store manager refuse to honor the ad stating the mattress alone must be $499 after sales and coupons. The ad actually state it twice OFFER APPLIES TO ANY MATTRESS AND/OR FOUNDATION SET PURCHASE OVER $499.
I contacted Sears customer care and was told they won't go against what store manager said. I have written to the CEO of Sears and have not had the courtesy of a response. The store manager confirmed that there had been no retration of this ad as being incorrect.

chat associate lied in placing order
I was ordering 4 mattresses online from sears when a chat associate popped up and asked if I needed assistance. I proceeded to ask questions and place my order through him. He gave me the price with tax and delivery. I asked if that was the final price. He said yes, it was the total charge and I gave my credit card info to him (Stan) through the chat window. I had never done this before and will never again. When my confirmation email came, the price was $30 higher than he told me. I called to ask why and what happened and was told that he has misinformed me. How is this possible? Can a company just decide to charge a different price after you have agreed and given out your credit card info? I would advise people to stay away from SEARS. I know I will.

scratched rims and hood
Took truck in to change battery. Sear's employ backed truck into sidewalk scatching expensive rim on cement. Sear's employ denied it even though it still had fresh red paint on rim and tire from sidewalk cement. l
Looked at hood had two scratches by the front grill that were also not there. Got told to talk to manager to make a complaint but manager was not even their! I was told to call him tomorrow, but realy nothing they could do since they are not liable. Now i am stuck with a 1400 dollar rim that is scratched because of Sear's.

faulty installation of water filter on refrigerator
Purchased a new Kenmore Elite side by side counter depth refrigerator on 4-24-2010.Needed a repair on 4-21-2011 of the removable ice bin in the freezer door. It could not be removed. Technician from A and E factory service(Sears Blue Team) came and pulled the fridge out from the wall to repair and we saw water problems on the floor for the first time. He stated that the original delivery people did not properly install the water filter and it leaked.We have suffered some water damage to the floor, but as of now, no mold has appeared. No compensation for any of this.

poor customer service
Second time I changed I changed my address with them, they still processed the order to ship to the wrong address. I called 90 seconds after placing the order and was told by customer service it could not be corrected and the order could not be cancelled. Their solution was for me to re order and pay again for the item to correct their mistake. I had this happen in December and was told it would be cancelled, instead item shipped to wrong address and I was charged. Extremely poor customer service!!!

Service complaint
We purchased a GE washer from the Sears in Sarasota, with the extended warranty. Less than 4 months into usage of about 4 times a week, the transmission grinds when washing clothes. We called the Sears service department and get continual voicemail. No one returns the calls, the nois is so loud that the whole neighborhood can hear. Service finally called and set a date of more than a week for a service person to come to the house. Now we have a new baby and an 18 month old in the house and cannot clean the clothes. We repeatedly called the service department, but no answers-just voice mail. After about 3 hours a person finally got on the line and said there was nothing they could do but wait the additional 5 days for the serviceman to arrive. When we asked to speak to the manager she the tech said he would call back, but the manager never called. We called again and continued to get the voice mail again. This is very poor costomer service relations. When purchasing this product, the sales person continually said this is a high quality product with little or no maintenance problems. What A Lie. I guess she was only supposet to sell, sell, sell.
I don't think we are going back to sears to purchase anything else.

Bad roofing job
Sears Home Services, formerly Home Central (botched roofing specialists), is their new name. Don't be fooled by a name change. It's the same crowd who botched up my roofing, with the same lousy attitude. They can change the name but until they improve their performance and make good on the mess they made at my home, I still see them as a bunch of crooks.

lawn mower warranty/repair
I have an extended, 3 year warranty on my Craftsman riding lawn mower by Sears. I have had a Sears repairman out 5 times to repair problems on the mower. Right now, I have several problems again: 1) sometimes will not turn over or start for several times before it finally starts 2) mower blade sometimes will not engage when the lever is engaged 3) sometimes the mower dies when the blade is engaged 4) the cutting deck will not stay level 5) right now, the mower will not go forward or backwards at all. I have talked with the Sears area manager twice. The last time was Wednesday, April 27. He promised to get back with me ASAP concerning replacing the mower and also paying for the times I have had to hire someone to mow my lawn. I am a patient man; however, this is not the way to do business. I am convinced the mower is a bad product and I would like my money back or a new mower.

Replacement of Schwinn exercise bike
I purchased a Schwinn exercise bike three years ago. Also purchased the extended warranty. When the
warranty came up for renewal this year, I renewed it. Had a need for a service call in March, 2011. They ordered replacement parts which as of May 3, 2011 were still on backorder. Was told they would replace bike if repair could not be made. Discovered today when I took my authorization number for the replacement to Sears, they only will replace $300 toward an exercise bike. I paid almost $500 for the bike plus purchasing the warranty for a total of almost $700 at time of purchase. There was no manager there to speak with, and I waited for more than an hour while I thought a manager was out to lunch. Sat in the department while employees were all around, none of whom seemed the least bit interested in assisting me in solving my problem. I will never ever do business with Sears again, nor will I ever purchase a warranty contract which is totally worthless in my opinion. Interestingly, while I was waiting, I was approached by a salesperson wanting to sell something for my home. SERIOUSLY???????
