So pissed
I bought a microwave oven at Kmart 6 months ago, it just stopped working. I got out the book, spent an hour on the phone with Sears /Kmart customer service, got transferred 3 times, and ultimately ended up with "D. J." from Kmart Customer Service. I told him the microwave was 6 months old and I had the box. I told him I did not have the receipt, I said if I take it back to Kmart, will they exchange it for me? He said yes, just take it back and they will exchange it. My car is a long walk from where I live, I lug this huge box back to my car, up to Kmart (Streetsboro, OH) and in to the store, for them to just tell me sorry, we have a 90-day return policy. Then, why after I spent an hour on the phone would the customer service guy tell me to take it there? I never would of gone through all that trouble otherwise! The store manager; Chris, was quite a little twerp. Went back home called customer service and all I got was I don't know why he told you that, but you'll have to call the manufacturer (Kenmore, I don't recommend them) and get it serviced! It supposedly had a 1-year warranty when I bought it I can’t believe they won’t exchange it – Microwaves should last longer than 6 months! I don’t want to know where I am going to have to drag this thing next and how long it will take. I am so pissed! I use it everyday.

can't find site for rebate
We Purchased a 800.00 and some dollar refridgator, and just like the other people, we got screwed as far as your rebate, you can't find the website you say to go to, so what are we suppose to do, we sure don't want to use it at Sears, seeing no one wants to honor it or take the responsibilty to make it right. This is a real rip-off and sure does not do much for Sears, ripping people off!!! Or for that matter the MasterCard company that is in on this!!!

fraud
sears was called to repair a dishwasher. They charged me $70 for the in home visit. They quoted me $470 to repair the pump. I said I could buy a new dishwasher for that price, and I did. Six months later, I discover by chance that the part was indeed under warranty! So I spent $1000 for a new dishwasher. That was fraud! Sears says that there is nothing they can do to help me.

service call
The story is too long to detail here, and SEARS has already wasted enough of my time...essentially, SEARS customer service is a joke. It took me five phone calls to reach someone who understood the problem, then they still weren't able to resolve it. I waited five hours for a tech to fix my oven before being informed that the service department was having technical difficulties and wouldn't be able to make the repair today. Seriously...I waited for FIVE HOURS, then had to call myself to find out what was going on. Inexcusable!

Scam and cheating
I bought a tv from sears, only workd 10 months, not only do i have manufacture warranty i have extended warranty. it has already been a month and all theey say is we will have someone contact you in 48 hours. 48 hours never comes. this is thee worst experience i have ever had. sears owes me $800.00. i am sure it is ellegall to scam people out of their hard earned money.

Awful experience
I have reason to beleive that my vehicle was damage at Sears Automotive Department. I did not inspect my vehicle before driving off from Sears. Four days later I notice the damage and contact Sears and spoke with the manager. I asked him if Sears have honesty policy and his response was it's hard to prove it because usually claims are made on the sameday of the incident. My vehicle is old and falling apart, don't I have the right to be inform if an accident happen to my vehicle? I am not persuing compensation here. I beleive that when things go wrong at Sears I expect them to treat me right. I told the manager that the dent looks like one of the lift indent on damage of my vehicle. He replies that it very hard to prove. I then told him that if takes florensic science to prove it, it will cost a lot money and then atterneys will be involve too. He immediately told that now that I mention attorney our conversation will have to end. I then asked how does he value my business and his response was I don't. I only asking for honest and I can't get it at Sears of Visalia. Mark the manager immediately jumps conclusion to get me off the phone because I can't prove it. Sears don't value my business and it difficult for Sears to have honesty policy, Wow, this how I view Sears from this day on.

Unethical business practices
I placed on order with SEARS for a major appliance on line and paid with my debit card. They said that the item was in stock and available for delivery (the only reason it was ordered). A delivery date was set and the order went thru. I received a phone call from SEARS the day before the scheduled delivery and was told that the item was not in stock and would not be available for another 2 1/2 weeks. I INSTRUCTED THE CALLER TO CANCEL THE ORDER. She said she would cancel the order and I was surprised to learn that SEARS had already taken the money from my account. I was informed that the money would be refunded in 5-7 working days. Here it is 19 days later and no money has been refunded. Within the past week, I contacted SEARS customer service who informed me that the order was not canceled correctly (incompetence) and that is the reason for the delay in refund. I was told that this mistake would be corrected. However I have not yet received an email confirming the cancellation of the order and the status of my refund. It is unheard of these days that a company would take funds for merchandise which they do not have in stock. Most companies will charge you once the item is shipped, but not SEARS. SEARS has lost a valuable customer and I hope to educate others about their incompetence and unethical business practices.

customer service
Purchased $5000 worth of products from a Sears to be delivered to my home in Il, and its been a nightmare since.

Day 1: First delivery was cancelled because of weather, received a personal phone that said my items would be scheduled for Monday. Okay, no problem.

Day 4: Delivery confirmation is between 11 & 1, truck arrives at 4:30, with a few things missing, driver calls dispatch, I'm informed that my delivery was broken-up into two deliveries, of course the one thing they left off the truck was the smallest item, which was a TV. Since I was told my "items would delivered that day, I scheduled a satellite install for that day, well of course I had to rescheduled that appointment, at a $25 charge because the Sat. guy showed up when the truck got there. So the delivery guys go ahead and install the washer and dryer and tell me to leave it running. Well 30min later there is water all over the wash room floor and running into the bathroom. They forgot the drain hose, called them back to clean up the mess, 40min later they arrive clean up the water with our towels and take the rug to be dried out the was in the hall.

Day 5: delivery is again for 11 & 1, truck arrives at 6:30, same guy, he says rug would be returned tomorrow.

In between this time I call Sears customer service line and get plenty of "sorry" but no one can help me even get a refund on the delivery charge.

Day 6: Still calling Sears, no call backs as promised and no rug!

Day 7: Go to local Sears store, bring TV back myself and talk to the store manager, tries to talk me out of the return even offers $200 store credit. So fed up I refuse and want a full refund. Guess what, he can't override the restock fee and charges me $250. I tell him go ahead I'll fight it later but I want them to pick up the washer and dryer.

Day 8: Sears is scheduled for pick-up between, wait for it, 11 & 1, (it's almost a joke now) truck arrives at 7:30, not the original truck route so the driver has no paper work on hand only hand written information.

Day 9: Starts tomorrow, have to go back to the store and try to get something saying they picked up their crap!

I HAVE CALLED AND GONE TO SEARS, DOZENS OF TIMES, AND EMAILED, REGIONAL MANAGER, FRANK BUFFALINO, TWICE, TO NO AVAIL . ************SEARS SUCKS !************* I AM NO LONGER A SEARS CUSTOMER AFTER MORE THAN, ******50, ****** YEARS !!!
