employees standing around and not waitin on the customers
Went to buy refrigerator .waited 15 minutes for help and 3 employee standing around talking to each other. After deciding to leave the store a man came aroundask if he could help us and we told him no that we was tired of waiting. Told the saleperson that he should be reported to his boss about them standing around and he told us to go ahead and tell. We talk to the floor manger about the ordeal but don't know if anything was done. As bad as times are and people looking for a job something should be done

Awful Customer Service/MA
Without going into the longest story in the world, I will sum up the complaint here. I bought a MA for my washer. Sears not only treated me horribly over the past few months, they did not stand up to their end of the agreement. My washer could not be fixed. I had service techs out MANY times (every other week, basically) - sometimes replacing parts, sometimes fiddling around with the machine. It wasn't fixable. I fought day in and day out with Sears to credit me the $500 voucher they said they would give me. After I was told I would finally get it, they re-negged. Then I fought again and got it. All reps I dealt with were deceitful, had different stories about policy and procedure, and basically called me a lier about my machine being fixed. They even had record that I supposedly threw my machine out and the tech couldn't fix it ... that was a lie. Anyway, order the new machine, finally, it gets delivered and it is broken. I am told that I had to accept the machine and I could not get my old machine back. I was told that I had to call the store for replacement by two different people. A third person told me I should have never accepted the machine. Really, what was I to do? I call, get a story, release the delivery people and NOW you tell me I did the wrong thing? The employees need to get the procedures straight. So after ordering the machine on 2/10, a missed delivery day on 2/24 (because it wasn't on the truck), reschedule to today (2/25), I now have to wait until March 10th. " Sorry, that is all we can do." I have not had a working machine since the end of November. Sears MAs are crap and their service is even worse. After this, I will never ever ever go back to Sears - not even to buy a sock.

Rebate scam
Bought a GE stove with $65.00 Rebate. Filled out all the required paperwork and mailed in. Called rebate center 2 times. Waited 3 weeks after calling first time. Individuals on phone both times say the same thing. That they just started opening the rebate envelopes and to call back in a couple weeks. I will never buy another product from Sears.

No show, then overcharge
Stay away from Sears appliance repair. I had a problem with my refrigerator and called Sears repair. I had an appointment for the next day from 1pm-5pm. I took off of work early and guess what, they never showed up. Called to complain and they said that they are sorry, and will have someone come out next day. They also said to call back and they will compensate me somehow after the repair is done. The tech arrived at 2:10 the next day. He took a look and told me the thermostat was broken and need to be replaced. He print out the estimate. The total was$227.00. The labor was $190, and the part was $25. I told him to go ahead thinking it was a tough job and that he was going to be here for awhile. Plus I had a frig full of not cold enough food. He arrived at 2:10 and he left by 2:35. This included everything, from greeting me to me paying. I was charged $190 for labor for 15 minutes of actual labor. Are you kidding me! What a rip off! I called Sears the next day, and they said that they will mail me a $30 gift card for the no show. They said that the tech charged the right price. I told her that my attorney dose not even charge that much for 15 minutes. She said they charge by what needs to be done, and not by the hour. Sears Appliance Repair, BEWARE!

Poor customer service
This company has been involved in a washing machine repair since Dec 3, 2008. They have ordered more than $800 worth of parts for a machine that would cost me $400 to replace today. I paid $389 for it in Aug of 2005..so this machine is likely worth only $250 today. They have left my home and said that the product was repaired 2x. The customer service department is completely uncooperative. They are not willing to make this case a priority, even thugh they have attempted 5x to repair the machine! I have been with out a machine since Nov 28th. They have offered me no compensation for my time or the cost to outsource my laundry. My home warranty company has approved these charges, otherwise I would have NEVER approved this. My machine is still broken and they have a 6th appointment scheduled for Monday, January 12th. I am not hopeful that it will be repaired.

Appliance repair
After waiting the four hour window for a dishwasher repair tech to arrive. I called and had to ask for a supervisor before I got the answer I wanted. The tech called me and said he was 30 minutes away. 1 hour later he showed up and sat talking on his cell in the van. After 10 minutes I tapped his van window and asked him how much longer he would be - he told be he didn't know he was busy on the telephone.
I canceled the order and found a reliable company.
Never again would I call Sears and it is my sincere hope that with the bad economy we finally get rid of this company.

Repair overcharge
On 10 December, Sears serviced our washing machine. After paying $70.86 for a new pump, we were charged another $141.00 (+ $11.63 tax) for labor. This labor took 20 minutes to perform, which means that you are charging us $423 per hour! You sent out a technician; not a lawyer! This is OUTRAGEOUS!!!
If you reduce the labor from $141.00 to $41.00, you will still be charging us $123.00 per hour for labor, which should be more than enough! I have already heard the excuse that you dont charge by the hour; I dont care, you charged us $141.00 for 1/3 of an hours work, so that is $423 per hour!
I have phoned your company several times to complain, and ask for an adjustment of at least $100 on this $223.49 bill, but all I get is attitude from your telephone reps; they say that they can not make adjustments to this bill.
The matter is very simple, at this point; either you reduce this bill to a reasonable amount, or I will no longer do any business with your company, and I will make it my mission in life to tell everyone I know about your outrageous billing practices.
Do you think that customer service like this may be part of the reason that your stock has been down as much as 86% from its high, while Walmart has only been down 26%? All of the hype that I heard about what a great manager you are is obviously a load of crap! It is my fondest hope that SHLD goes bankrupt and that you are ousted as Chairman!

Bad service
I bought a dishwasher from Sears last year and close to a year later the dishwasher stars leaking.I called Sears Parts and Service on Dec. 13 and they schedule me for a repair on Dec.24. On Dec.24, the repair guy doesn't show up because of the weather and then they schedule me for Jan.15. In other words I have to wait for a month to get service. Very unreasonable and the worst service I've had. Will not reschedule me sooner at all.
