BAD SERVICE
I am a single mother so naturally I do not have much money to spend on my daughters photos. I received a coupon for the 7.99 portrait package when she was born and thought that was great. I made the appointment and drove an hour to Kansas City (we were in MO at the time). They were over booked so I waited and hour and a half for our photos. The woman was nice but the pictures were horrible. I only got to choose one photo so I just ignored all of the others. After that they called me every week until I agreed to schedule a new appointment. I finally scheduled for Christmas and explained to the woman how far I was driving and that I wanted more than one GOOD pose this time. She assured me that was their priority. I agreed and began to save money for these photos. They mailed me a free photo Collage for my daughters 6months and I choose to take it with me to this appointment. I called on the way there to make sure that they were on time because if not I would go to some other stores to get my Christmas shopping done because again, I lived to far away and I thought I would kill too birds with one stone she said they were on time. We arrived just as the snow started to fall and I bundled up my baby and headed in. When we got there they were overbooked and had an hour delay. They called in some other employees and we ended up only waiting thirty minutes. (Sarcasm) The young lady took photos of me and my daughter then of only my daughter. I had two outfits so my baby was getting very annoyed. The photographer sat 6 month old daughter on the ground in front of this horrible backdrop and tried to get shots. I kept telling her that my daughter could sit up on her own yet. She didn't listen. Fed up I just decided to pick photos out of the computer. When I sat down with my choices, I was in tears. All of them were horrible. The manager saw me and pulled me to the side to find out what was wrong. I showed her the photos and she quickly chose to reschedule me for later that day with her. I said yes because again I lived so far away. We waited 4 hours (every time I went back in she said they weren't quite caught up) however, those were the best photos to date. I only retook my daughters photos, I was in no mood to be photographed again! BY the time we left to leave ( at 9pm) The snow was covering all of the roads and that caused me a two hour drive home with cranky baby. I called back the next day to add to my order which was already 200, and was told not to order more because they automatically send some extra sheets for purchase. I went to pick up our photos the day I was leaving for OK (because they were delayed getting them?) Only to find that there were no extra sheets to purchase! This was on the 23rd of Dec. so some family just had to wait for Christmas photos. They gave me a discount photo for my next purchase. Present day. My daughters 1st birthday was yesterday. When I moved to Texas I looked around for suitable studios. Sears in Kansas City called and said that I had won a free 10x13 that could be combined with any coupon or package. ( I didn't enter a drawing so undoubtedly this was to get my business back). I went to the Sears here at Vista Ridge and spoke to the manager. I told her about my last experience and she assured me that that was not there practices here. I told her that this time, I needed 1st birthday photos, and 2 separate family photos, My mother just got back from serving 3 years in Iraq, and hurricane Katrina relief, she was flying in from West Virginia and would only be here for the 30th. My sisters were also going to be here that day and would not be able to return for another year. We have no family photos from the passed 8 years. We needed at least an hour and many poses. I told her I would schedule 2 appts that day if necessary. She said it would be no problem and they had these different 1st birthday things they could do. I went online and picked out my backgrounds and My family even got semi matching outfits. We arrived a 11 am on the 30th (didn't realize the studio opened at the same time as the mall). We waited until the store opened at 12 and went in. They had booked 2 families at noon and when the lady showed up to the studio she told us we would have to wait until she got everything turned on could open her apptment book. I understood and we just got ourselves ready. When picture time came, we got a total of 20min. She took 1 to 2 pics of 1 pose . 1 Family, 1 kids, 1 grandma and baby (which I told her we didn't need) 1 sis, 1 other sis, 1 mom and daughter, 3 sep poses of baby with birthday outfit and number 1 which was with background only not tulle (which I asked for) you can't even see the number one! and 1 pic of baby in the family outfit! She sat us in front of the computer, told us to go through them and said it would be 10 min before she could get to us. We didn't even get to see any photos to make sure I had enough to choose from of my daughter. When we went through the photos they were not centered, my daughters dress was wrinkled, people were squinting and again the number one was not visible. Angry but knowing we didn't have anymore time for our photos I chose some and waited, and waited, and waited, 35 min later I looked into the room and asked her how long and she rudely said it'll be a min. She came out of the studio 20 min later and by that point I knew what poses and needed to pay and leave! She told me I had to sit at the computer with her and let her go though the photos with me. She began telling me how much for the photos I wanted and realized that she had "enhanced" the only decent photos! I couldn't take anymore!!! I just left. How do you rush something sooooo important, be rude and lie about pricing? This was my only shot and because of the lack of care and true customer service I will have to purchase the family photos, and reschedule my daughters first photos somewhere else. I am just glad I did not waste my daughters 1st birthday cake with your rude photographer!!! The sad part is my mother was ready to just buy the whole portrait package including the CD and fix the photos her self, but when the photographer snapped at me and then waited another 20 min. I told her no! Because of this I lost 4 hours of my daughters 1st birthday and 4 hours of family time. Your employees may not have young children but you are in a business that is supposed to cater to all sizes.
