Poor service
I bought a Kenmore HE washing machine from Sears about three years ago and three weeks ago the appliance did not complete its cycle to wash my clothes. I called Sears Repair and was told that we could not get a repair person to respond until a week later. I had a friend who is in the appliance repair business take a look at it and was told that the CPU (the push buttons to work the washing machine) was not working. My wife called Sears Repair and spoke with three people explaining the problem. They each told her that that particular part was covered under the "Exceptional Parts" clause and we did not have to pay for that part. Well the Sears repair person showed up for our appointment and told us the same thing so we informed him what the Sears people had told us. The repair person had no knowledge of it and gave us a reciept regarding the part we needed and to call back. This person was somewaht rude to us and seemed as if he wanted to leave in a hurry. We called Sears back and were told that no this part was not covered under that clause and we would have to pay for it. Well we told them of our first call to Sears and they told us that those three people should not have ever told us that it would be free of charge to us for that part. Now we had to schedule another appointment to have that repair person to return to order the part for us and when that day arrived we were given the time of between 1:00pm-5:00pm. A Sears representitive called us around 5pm and told us that they are running late and will be at ourhouse after 5pm. We waited till 7pm with no response so we called three times to Sears to find out what the hell was going on. They told us that we were next on the list, then he will be there in 15 minutes. Long story short he never came for our service call and Sears jerked us around lying to us about his response. Now we had to make another appointment just to have this person show up for 10 minutes to order the part. I will nver ever shop at Sears again let alone walk through that damn store for the rest of my life. They have treated us liked crap from day one . I urge those of you not to frequent Sears because they don't honor what they say. If you do "Buyers Beware"
