I am never calling Sears again for service/repair
I am never calling Sears again for service/repair. I am also not buying sears appliances or lawnmowers. I have been a loyal buyer of the brands in the past but I am tired of the disrespect from the service. No one should have to wait a 9 hour window for service. My time is worth more than that. I'd be more angry if I had to use a vacation day for this. I tried in the a.m. to find out a smaller window and still no luck. This happens every time I call for service. It is worse than the cable company. Most places can narrow it down to morning or afternoon. I'm calling those places from now on.

Cery irresponsible and uncaring company
I called Sears repair center on 28 April 2009 morning around 9:30, after stepping in water leaking from the refrigerator. It must have stopped freezing during the night. The Rep informed me that the service person would be at my address between 1:00 and 5:00 pm. Tuesday 28. I waited and waited for the arrival and at 4:30 I called to find out when they were coming. I talked to two people, the latter supposively was someone, she says from the executive office because she said that there was no one above her to complain to, that I would have to write a letter of complaint to the main office. At this time she appolagized to me for not receiving a call that my appointment was canceled and that the next available time I could be reschule was for Thursday. So three day will have lasped before I can get any service done on my refrigarator. In the meantime my food has spoiled. The cost is well over the 250.00 max your company will reimburse me. Your company is very irresponsible and uncaring. Your warranty service is unacceptable and appauling. You need to be more considerate to your customers. I could have went out and bought a new frig. without waiting for your inadequate service center to do their job. I am retired with a husband in a nursing home that I have to see that he is properly taken care of. I don't need you to throw an extra problem into my life.
Very angry with your Company, I will never buy anything else from you. Your warranty stinks.

Will never buy another thing from SEARS again
I am blown away that Sears Service and Repair can actually use the word service in their title... There is NO service whats-so-ever. I scheduled a repair to have my freezer fixed (under warrenty) I waited at home on three different days only to be rescheduled. This is the fourth attempt. They were to be here between 8-12. It is now 4:35. I was called at 2:20 and told he was on his way. . I called and asked to speak to a supervisor, I was put on hold for 40 minutes. While on hold, I used another phone to dial the service number again.. This time I waited 10 minutes for a supervisor who told me that the repair man was on his way. I explained that this was completely unacceptable because I keep being told this but he doesn't show up. He told me there was nothing he could do because he is on his way. (yes, I've heard that before) I asked him if there was another supervisor or number I could call. He told me I could be transfered to the recovery line but he wouldn't transfer me. This is a number they transfer you to if you have been cancelled on twice. (I have had 4 no shows) I asked him is name, he would only tell me Tony and not give me a last name. Basically- I am at their mercy and lost 4 days of work- I will never buy another thing from SEARS again. EVER!

Awful service
I am upset as h*** at sears they are very unprofessional and I will never ever buy another appliance from them again. I have been without a washer it will be a month on Monday. I have a newborn baby and I can't even wash clothes. So when the washer broke my daughters clothes were in the machine in water. I called service and repairs at sears they told me they couldn't get a repair man to come out until the next week. Okay so the following week came and the repair man came out well the machine couldn't be fixed that day because a part had to be ordered. He told me I should get the part on Friday so on Monday my machine will be fixed. Well I didn't get the part until 2 weeks later because sears had my address wrong in the system so u.p.s couldn't find my apartment because my apt. Number was put in wrong. When I talked to someone at customer service, they lied and told me that u.p.s did attempt to deliver but they couldnt find the apt. Number which is crazy because you see the apt. Number before uou see the apt. Door. So then I asked for their corporate number she told me that there wasn't a number but there's an address so I told her to get me that address. So of course I was put on hold for about 15 minutes then she gets back on the phone and says that u.p.s did try to deliver and they left a delivery card on door but how could that be because you just told me that they couldn't find the apt. Right??? So anyway I finally receive the part and the repair man just left from trying to repair the machine and it's still not fixed. He has to order wiring for the machine. I mean this ridiculous and when you talk to someone at customer service the have no sympathy for you at all. They do not care about their customers at all. They hang up on you, try to talk over you, they're rude as h*** and I'm completely fed up with sears like I said I would never buy another appliance from them and I will let everyone know how sh**** their service is.h

Terrible company
Just got off the phone with Sears. Have been trying to get my washer (that's less than a year old) repaired. Already had someone out yesterday and he said he fixed it. He left without running it to make sure it was fixed. Called yesterday afternoon after I realized it was still down and rescheduled a repair for this morning (8am-12pm). I was told I was the first appt. of the day. At 10:30 I called the repair center and they had the guy call me. He said he's call me when he was finished with his current appt. to give me a better time frame of when he'd be out. He NEVER called. I ran some errands, but he had my cell phone number. He NEVER called. I came home and found a message from the repair center saying I needed to call them with a time I'd be home. I called. They said he tried calling me on my home and cell phone. He DID NOT. I have caller ID and an answering machine at home and I had my cell phone on me the entire time I was gone. So they wanted to reschedule for next week and I said no, I had to have clean clothes for my family next week. They said he'd be out between 1pm and 5pm today and he would call me. HE NEVER CALLED. At 4:55pm I called the repair center. They said there was no one available to come out tonight, I have to wait until next week. I asked to speak with a supervisor and the girl would not transfer me - instead she continued to argue with me for 10 minutes. Finally, she said the supervisor was on the phone and I told her I'd hold. I finally was able to speak with a supervisor but it didn't do me any good. SOOO - now I have to wait until Monday to get my washer fixed. For someone who's supposed to be a PREMIER customer - I sure didn't get the customer service. I have owned Kenmore appliances for many years, however in December when I have to buy a dryer and dishwasher, I will not be going to Sears. YOU SHOULDN'T EITHER!!

Never shop there
There is no such thing as customer service at Sears. No wonder their stock is falling. I've been trying to resolve my service problem since January. It is the end of May and the ordeal still is not over yet. I'm tired of the running around, all my calls being transferred, being lied to by their reps and service techs that don't know what they are doing. I've sent my complaint to the BBB but Sears is hell bend on fighting me on this even thought their tech was the one that broke my tv. Their own tech confirmed to me that it was the first tech that broke my tv and they are still fighting me. Sears is a thieving and lieing company. I will never shop there again and will tell my story to anyone that will listen. I will write on every website I find. NEVER SHOP THERE.

Technician Did not show!
Last Wednesday I called Sears Repair Center 800 number to have a Kenmore refrigerator repaired. There were some odd things about the original call...apparently they have my phone number listed under someone else's name. I gave them my correct name, my address several times and directions to the house.
I am the first house on my road just off the main road that goes through our community. Not very hard to find, especially since anyone in the several stores that were open today, also within 500 feet of my house, could tell anyone where I live, and often do! I also told this operator that I DO NOT HAVE A TELEPHONE IN MY HOUSE! I call from my business, located within sight of my house and back door.
Since I called on a Wednesday, I had to wait a week without a refrigerator because the technician is only in our area on Wednesdays. Since my father is diabetic and I have to walk to a neighbor's house to take his insulin back and forth from their refrigerator, this was annoying but not major. However, I spent NINE hours sitting in my kitchen watching my back door while waiting for the SEARS technician, who never showed up. At 2:50 PM I got nervous and walked to my shop to check on things. I discovered two phone calls from an 800 number, but no messages were left on my answering machine. I called the 800 number and sure enough, it was Sears. Naturally no one knew why I was called. I reminded them that I DO NOT HAVE A TELEPHONE AT MY HOUSE and the operator assured me that the technician would be told that I WAS AT HOME AND HAD BEEN THERE ALL DAY.
At 6 PM I came back to the shop to call and see why my Kenmore refrigerator was still sitting in my kitchen taking up useless space. The answering machine was blinking with two messages, one at 3:10, saying that the technician had reported that I was not at home and another at 3:20 saying that he needed directions.
Keep in mind that I had called them not twenty minutes before to say I WAS AT HOME, and had given the original operator directions to a house that is VERY easy to find. Needless to say I am unimpressed with Sears, their service and the intelligence of their technicians regarding following a map. Now my choice is to go without a refrigerator for yet another week, or go out and buy one that is NOT a Sears appliance. Which do you suppose I'll chose?
