I bought a GE washer from Sears in spring of 2008. AFter I had it for 7 months, I was running a load at night, and when I walked into the kitchen area where my washer was running, I came upon a flood in my kitchen. I ran to the washer which was running out of the bottom water tray, that in under the washer. It's a 2 inche high lip. The water was over flowing the tray and it had no time to drain. I thought it was a sock or something, stuck in the drain. Tried it the next day and no problem. after another week, it did it again. I was up mopping water for an hour. Well It was under warranty for a year. After the tech came out., she found that the part that tells the water to stop was faulty. After it was fixed.it ran for another 4 months. I probably ran close to 80 loads in this washer. That's when it started to squeek so loud, it had to be shut down All the water that flowed thru the machine washed all the grease fittings that move along with the washer, . I called sears and they said sorry the washer was not under warranty and if I pay 125.00 they would make an appointment. unacceptable ! I e-mailed customer service at sears twice with no response. So now I either buy a new washer after 80 loads, or start going to a laundry mat, like I did when I was a young adult
