We was getting married in Myrtle Beach on 6/20/09. We arrived late afternoon and paid for two rooms for one night. This was a supposedly newly renovated motel which in the one room we rented there was NO hot water at all...I mean no water on the hot side whatsoever out of either the sink or the bathshower. The other room we rented had no cold water running out of the sink. The cable channels was all fuzzy and although it was hot that day, the air conditioning finally felt like it was doing something around 5am. The rest of our group that had the other room left after only 2---2.5 hours of getting there. They chose to drive back home at 8pm...a trip of 4--4.5 hours rather than staying in this motel. We had to stay actually because it was our honeymoon and they wouldn't stay in the same room as us naturally because it was our honeymoon. I was told by the manager that I had to operate the water supply handles a certain way so that the water would work and that someone else complained too. I have supervised maintenance employees of real estate properties, apartment complexes and rental homes, I do know what I'm talking about. The only compensation or "discount" we got was a promise that if we came back this summer, we could get the same rate. Wow...no thank you. We will NEVER go to that motel again.
