On 10/05 I was online, perusing a gift for my little sister for her birthday. Her and I are both avid tea drinkers so when I stumbled on urbanteasdirect.com and noticed their deal going on, I was excited. The introductory deal was $2.00 for 2 - 1# bags of loose leaf tea in two different flavors, delivered for free, with a charge of $39.74 once a month every month until you cancel your order. Shoot, one bag for me and one for my sister for a steal. I put my order in and saw the $2.00 charge shortly afterwards when I checked my bank account. Today (10/14) I was checking my account and saw not one, but two more charges from Urban Teas Direct for $39.74 on 10/06 and 10/09. I attempted to go back to the website and send them a message explaining the two charges and I got a blank site that said simply "This promotion is no longer available." I looked around the web thinking I just got the address wrong and nothing. No other site. I checked my email for a confirmation email from the company and they never sent one. Alarm bells went off in my head. I immediately got in contact with my bank and they directed me to a form to fill out for fraudulent charges.
I've done some other quick research and found out that Urban Teas Direct's parent company is Seattle Coffee Direct that everyone is complaining about.
