Sergeants flee control Reviews

Poison do not use
I treated my 2 dogs with Sergeants pretect flee control in a squeeze on tube.Within 4 hours of treating my dog who DID not have flees at the time it was purley a preventative measure, she began to chew at one of her paws which quickly progressed to chewing all four.Shortly after that she began shaking uncontrollably at her back end and her eyes were fluttering repeatedly at which point she began collapsing all over the place she would get up walk a around in a circle falling over and in to things. Finally she became confused and went of to hide.Every time my husband and i tried to approach her she would freak out completely and try backing away from us even though we have always hd her it was as if she did'nt know who either of us was.We called our vet who told us to rush her to the emergency surgery as it was out of hours they took one look at her and said that the flee control had not only given her an enormous overdose but had severely poisoned her, she said that the tremors and fluttering of the eyes were multiple seizures and that she was at that point in critical condition she was unsure if the dog would last the night. They bathed her twice and gave her IV fluids along with other meds to counteract the poison and gave her muscle relaxants to control the shaking, they kept her there over night then transferred her to our normal vet once regular hours were open for further monitoring and medication. All in all it cost the best part of 700 dollars in medical costs but aside from that alot of heart ache. When my husband called Sergeants the same night he called there medical line number found on the box and after being on hold for almost 30 minuits he was told rather nastily that there was no way the flee control could have caused the problem it did that our dog must have been either a cat for it to happen or she had an undiagnosed medical condition that caused it not the treatment. He was even told that there was no possibility that this could kill our dog which given we had just been told by the vet was a definate possibility was a really stupid thing to say not to mention heartless. Our dog is better now although there is still some tremors and fluttering and she continues to need muscle relaxants to stop them no thanks to them she is on the mend. Please no one buy this product my vet tells me she sees this regulary from Sergeants products and there not all this lucky i know to them she is just a dog but to us she is family. Now Sergeants tell us that it will be weeks to get reimbursement of vet bills and thats if they find there product at fault which judging by the fact they know all about what there product is doing and yet denied flat out to us it was possible there not likely to find a fault with it are they.I dont care about the money im just glad my dog is going to be ok its not about that its about protecting family members we thought thats what we were doing i guess when it comes to this product there is no protection it would have been better to let them get flees.
