Serious complain against EK staff in Zia International Airport, Bangladesh
1) I, Mohammed Ziaul Hasan, holding Canadian passport number WN234540 traveled from Ottawa to Dhaka with return reservation on flights as under :

a) AC 888 / 20th Nov, 09 YOW-LHR.
EK 002 / 21st Nov, 09 LHR-DXB
EK 584 / 24st Nov, 09 DXB-DAC
(Wife and Infant accompanied)

b) EK 585 / 19th Dec, 09 DAC-DXB
EK 007 / 20th Dec, 09 DXB-LHR
AC 889 / 20st Dec, 09 LHR-YOW
(Wife and Infant not accompanied)

2) While returning from Dhaka I reported well in time for check-in on the flight EK 585 / 19th December. A lady check-in staff checked my passport but did not find my name in the computer. She referred me to another counter staff Mr Arif who kept me waiting due to my name not being shown in the system. After half an hour he told me that matter referred to Mr Nawshad who turned up when it was almost closing time of the flight.

3) I feel harassed to mention here that Mr Nawshad at the first sight addressing in a rude manner told “you are not going by this flight, take you baggage along, go home and get your fresh reservation for next flight”. I got shocked and very much upset to see this sought of attitude / behavior of Mr. Nawshad being the in charge of Emirates at Zia International Airport. I must also mention here that his shouting voice and body language was very much objectionable and unbecoming on his part noticed by the passengers around of other carriers.

4) In spite of my several request for excepting me on the flight as I had to join office on 21st December, 2009 at Ottawa on must basis where as Mr Nawshad paid no heed to my cry; he closed the counter. At this stage I showed him my e-ticket (luckily I had) after verification Mr. Nawshad informed me that the last segment of LHR-YOW was not confirmed: once again with same attitude he refused to accept me.

5) Finally I told Mr. Nawshad that I could not be satisfied with the clarification given by him and his staff regarding discrepancy of my reservation which was already reconfirmed by EK office before three days of my departure from Dhaka.

6) When everything was over at 10:05 PM, Mr Arif rushed to the counter and took me for immigration clearance. At that time boarding pass and baggage TAG handed over to me and my two pieces baggage sent down word by a porter manually. Finally I was on board the flight at the last moment. This was how I was accepted and boarded the flight.
7) Second part of hassle started due to non receive of my baggage on arrival since same left behind at Dubai confirmed by Air Canada, Ottawa. After three days baggage delivered to my residence by Air Canada (AC) on their own arrangement. For your information one piece baggage received in damaged and contents in coming out condition noted by Air Canada.

8) I understand it is not unlikely that their might be problem in the system which your staff member supposed to inform their passenger in a decent way but not in the manner Mr. Nawshad did which was entirely devoid of decorum. This is for information and necessary action of concerned authority of Emirates please.
